Chapter 90: Micah's opinion

"What do your current partners think of this? You're putting a human above a lot of demons here." Micah reasoned. Adrian shrugged his shoulders. "I really don't care, to be honest." He said, not even one bit concerned. "What if they hate her for it, and hurt her?" Micah asked him with raised eyebrows. "They can easily kill her. Some poison in her food, a knife in her heart, a snap of her neck." Micah said next.

I looked at Micah with wide eyes. I didn't doubt his words. This was another world, where murder and hate was more common than in the human realm. I think.

"Do you think they dare to hurt her if she belongs to me?" Adrian asked him in a calm tone. I tightened his blazer around me. The room was dark and the two demons looked at each other calmly, their previous fight forgotten. "They might think they can get away with it. Do not forget what demons will do to stay in a high position, Adrian. They will risk everything if it means staying by the side of a king." Micah reasoned. A
