Chapter 170: Nightmares

I really had no idea what the fuck happened in the last hour.

The plan was that I confronted Anna, would somehow get her down to the dungeons with Ren, and would then go back to the podium to join the rest of the ceremony. Ren was there to help me if I needed it, and to alert Adrian if I was in any danger. I had to convince Adrian for this because he didn't want to leave my side. I had almost fought with him over it but I didn't want to risk Anna running away again.

Nothing went according to plan.

I had another shower in Adrian's room, with Adrian and Ren right outside the door waiting for me. I begged Ren to stay. His touch was one I needed right now.

"Tell me." Adrian pleaded once he sat me down with a plate of food in front of me. "Tell me about the mental test."

I looked down at the food with my stomach turning over. Ren sat opposite of me and Adrian paced through the room nervously. "I don't think you want to hear, Adrian." I replied. My tiredness was becoming a real problem
