DAPHNE'S POV

" I would love to announce to you all that I would be making this beautiful lady here my twentieth concubine,"

Alpha Ares spoke to everyone with his head held up high, looking above their heads, the sky, the trees, and then into my eyes.

Words could not express how awkward I felt at that particular moment. I sincerely thought someone might have heard us and had reported to the alpha.

He held my hand tightly, interlacing his fingers with mine. His hands were not as cold as Amelia's, they were warm and comforting, unlike his whole aura.

The crowd in front of us cheered, their hands clapping uncontrollably. They all wore obvious smiles on their faces, some showed their brown teeth.

I swallowed my saliva and tried my best not to throw up. I could still feel Lita's glare on me.

The sudden urge to glare back at her disturbed me but I refused to let her control my emotions.

After a short while, I was taken into his pack house and then his room, and I was alone with him.

His gaze touched every part of my body. I felt it; all of it. He stood close to the door while I sat on the bed acting like I didn't know what was in his mind.

I should give in but giving in would require me to forfeit all my mother's training. I wasn't ready to do that.

At that very moment, I didn't know what to do or say. I had a lot of screams packed in my throat that were too scared to escape.

He walked towards me slowly. I opened my mouth to talk regardless of how futile it would be to him.

" Wait!" I mumbled.

He stopped and bit his lips in a self-satisfied smirk.

"Where did all that fierceness go, are you scared?" He asked while a burst of laughter left his mouth like a snort.

I stood up, my fists clenched by my side. His words spike a forgotten anger in me.

Inwardly, I was seething and patiently waiting for him to make the first move. He drew closer quickly.

I backed away, lifting my head to look at him. He took his left hand and placed it on my face. His gaze was still buried deep in me- in me.

" You are so beautiful, Daphne. Your whole being, your whole existence gives more reasons to live," he whispered.

I turned my face from him in a huff.

"What?" He asked, his hand still resting on my chin.

" Isn't that what you also said to your nineteen other concubines?" I pulled away from him and sat on the bed. A very large bed was placed in the center of the room.

He placed his hand on his waist and stared at me as my words caught him off guard. For the first throughout that day, I smiled because I enjoyed how disoriented he looked.

I had a shimmer of hope that he might not at least take advantage of me. He might not use my body and he wasn't a pervert after all. It seemed like it was some kind of test and maybe, just maybe I had passed the test.

" I might have said this to a lot of women but I have never taken anyone into my chambers. It means you are special, very special," Ares blew out of the water.

My trust issues didn't allow his subtle words to sink in. He still sounded like a horny Alpha.

He came to me again, we were close enough to breathe each other's breath. He smelled like leaves and grasses. Nothing was satisfying about the way he smelled.

As he leaned, he planted a kiss on my forehead, then on my cheeks, and then on my neck, and then his lips were everywhere on my body.

Each touch lingered before leaving. He rubbed my shoulders and dipped his hand underneath the sleeve and he pushed it down to fall.

Looking at me, he placed a kiss on my lips. Before I could react, he kissed me again.

I gave up, I have lost this game.

" I am sorry Mother," I said to myself.

It felt like the entire room was going to swallow me as he gently pulled down my gown.

I shut my eyes, prepared for the worst to happen and the worst did happen.

He pushed me against the bed and climbed on top of me. He was without any other desire but to lay with me.

He used his knees to shift my legs aside and far from each other. They were widely spread. He loses my wrapped hands and spreads them on the bed, holding them tightly.

Pushing forward, I struggled to get out of this captivity but my strength was nothing compared to his.

Truly He was a predator and I was his prey. Normally I would shout but I didn't. I knew too well not to anger an alpha that was ten times stronger than me and I also knew that his walls were too thick for anyone to hear me.

He left one hand and I tried to push him. Swiftly he placed my hand on the other, while he unbuttoned his trousers.

Thrusting inside me with every strength he had I bit my lip to stifle a scream. I was not even certain that I could breathe again.

It seemed like time came to a sudden halt and everything stopped with it. My heart, my thoughts, the closing room, my breathing, everything stopped!

He was inside me again, this time he was gentle and slow. My body was about to explode, it could no longer handle it.

I could no longer handle it. I let out a soft moan, rolling my eyes up. Somehow my hands were free and placed on his back as I pushed him deeper inside me. He pulled away.

He buried his head within the folds of the bed cover as he drove back into me.

Abruptly, the door swung open.
