Emily’s POV: I kept staring into the distance on the quiet road where there was no one except for those howls. Aria couldn’t calm herself down while I wondered how those wolves came out during the day. I have always had an idea that they come out in the dark to hunt and prey but it was the time when the sun was right above us and it was very warm. “Oh my God, did you guys hear that?” Aria asked us anxiously while I couldn’t manage to respond. I kept thinking about how those wolves were there to harm me. It wasn’t me for whom I was afraid but it was my friends. I didn’t want them to get hurt just because they were with me. “Em,” Melissa’s voice brought me back as she shook me a little. “Yeah?” I asked, absentmindedly. “Are you okay?” Melissa inquired. “Yeah, yeah, I am fine. It was scary.” I added to show Aria how it wasn’t normal for me too. “Yeah… They sounded like wolves, don’t you think?” Aria asked us and I hesitated. “Um yeah, it sounded like that only.” Melissa replied
Emily’s POV: I watched Aiden glaring at the grey wolf with his glowing red eyes. Dylan, Mason and Lucas stood there but they didn’t turn. Aiden’s glowing red eyes were enough to scare those wolves. I turned to see the grey wolf, who glared back at me while taking some steps backward. “Aria!” Melissa screamed and I turned around immediately to see Aria, lying unconscious on the floor. My eyes widened. “Aria,” I murmured and struggled to get up from the ground while Aiden continued to scare away those wolves. As they left, I stood up immediately and ran towards her. “Aria,” I called her out again and took her head up on my lap. “Aria, please wake up!” I cried while Aiden and everyone else came running towards us. “She saw everything, Em. She must be in shock.” Melissa informed and I looked down at Aria in distress. I could recall the time, when I learned about their reality and reacted the same way. However, I was somewhat happy that Aria came to know everything. I wanted Mason an
Emily’s POV: I kept staring to a distance in the corridor, while my heart continued to race. Gulping again, I added a little loudly this time, “Eric?” There was no response and the breathing sound continued to increase. My hands began to shiver and I could feel a huge lump forming in my throat. The breathing sound continued to grow louder and louder, echoing in the corridor and I began to take some steps backward in fear. I felt like someone was around me, watching me and growing closer to me. I couldn’t calm myself down and shut my eyes tightly, wondering if I might be dreaming. Suddenly, the breathing sound stopped and I swung my eyes open. I listened carefully but it was peaceful and there was no other sound except for my shallow breaths that were quite rapid too. I could feel my heart rhythmically pulsating, each beat resonating in my chest. In that quiet moment, once again I kept staring into the distance to see if I could find someone there when suddenly a voice hit my ear,
Emily’s POV: I was horrified to see my photograph, scratched with blood. My heart raced and it felt disgusting to hold it in my hands and in a moment, I let that photograph fall down to the ground. Gasping, I kept looking at it with a disgust look still etched on my face. “What is…?” I couldn’t complete and glanced at Melissa and Aria who were busy talking, looking somewhere else. At first, I decided to kick the photograph away from the doormat but then I decided to keep it to myself. I wanted to show it to Melissa and tell her everything that has been happening with me. I couldn’t tell Aiden because I didn’t want him to worry about this. However, I wondered if I was doing wrong by not informing Aiden about all this. Will he get angry? Should I tell him or not? But he gets so frustrated and worried when it comes to me. I wondered and kept looking at the photograph on the doormat. Taking a breath, I give it a thought and immediately bend down to grab the photograph again. I unlocke
Emily's POV: **** One hour ago **** I couldn't stop blushing after what Aiden commented. He loved my outfit which gave me the confidence that I can pull off any outfit and any dress. I was capable to look hot. With my smile still etched on my face, I went back to the front counter with forms in my hand and placed them down in front of Giselle. "Why are you smiling like that? And why are your cheeks pink?" Melissa inquired, arching her eyebrow, resting one of her hand on her waist. "Um," I started and immediately stopped blushing. "Nothing. I'm really loving these arrangements, you know..." I added, looking around. "Ahan, I see." Melissa said and nodded widely, looking at me in suspicion. "Don't look at me like that and start working." I retorted and immediately began to help Giselle with the forms. We checked all the arrangements, guided everyone about the event and instructed juniors about the rest of the things to be taken care of. Finally, we decided to wash some c
Aiden’s POV: I kept looking at her in shock. My mind couldn’t process this and I kept wondering how Emily was in trouble and how I wasn’t aware of anything but Melissa.“What?” I asked in disbelief.“Yes, she – she experienced something yesterday in the school corridor and then the photograph…” She started anxiously but ended up crying.“Melissa, it’s okay, it’s okay, calm down.” Dylan interrupted and I kept listening without understanding anything.“What…?” I murmured, my mind still not responding.“Aiden, we should find her first. We’ll talk then.” Mason suggested hastily and I nodded widely, getting my body to act.“Where’d she go, Aria?” I asked her, grabbing her by the arms and she got nervous.“She – she must have gone to the backyard because I told her to…” Aria started explaining while I left her arms and ran towards the backyard of the school without even letting her complete. They all followed behind me.“Emily…” I screamed her name and ran as fast as I could, reaching ther
Aiden’s POV:“Aiden, you need to calm down,” Dylan said, placing his hand on my shoulder while I continued to breathe heavily.“No, I can’t. And I won’t. I will kill him,” I said bitterly and immediately turned around to walk towards Melissa. “Listen to me, Melissa. Stay here. Keep updating me about Emily.” As she nodded, I turned towards Lucas and added further, “Keep a watch on Emily. Do not let anyone enter her room or come near to her. Do you understand me?”“Yes, I do but where are you going?” Lucas asked me anxiously.“Dylan, you also keep everything under control here and protect Emily at any cost.” I instructed Dylan without answering to Lucas’s question. As I walked forward towards the corridor, someone held my arm from behind.“Aiden, wait…” Dylan’s voice struck my ears from behind and I took a sigh, rolling my eyes. “Where are you going?” He asked me and left my hand, walking over to the front to face me.“To see that bastard!” I revealed bitterly, still breathing in anger.
Aiden’s POV: I couldn’t believe that Eric was aware of everything. I had no idea if he was aware of my reality from the day we met or he got to know it sometime after. It was shocking and I wondered why he never revealed my reality to anyone in school or said anything to Emily. “What?” Dylan asked him as I still kept thinking about how this was possible. “Yes,” Eric replied, panting, blood still oozing out of his nose. “What creature are we? What does that mean?” Dylan asked, feigning innocence. “Don’t act like you don’t know what I mean,” Eric started and then lifted his head up and rested his elbows on the ground while I kept looking at him. “I know you all are werewolves. Aiden, you, Mason and Lucas. And I also know that there are some more out there.” He added confidently while I tried to connect some points, thinking that all that time he might be aware of everything and he might be the one conspiring against us and helping the people who tried to harm Emily. The rage was bu
Aiden’s POV: I kept looking at the Maester and lowered my head for a moment before looking back at him. “I understand that, Maester. But I’d like to respectfully tell you something,” I said and took a step forward, looking into his eyes. “I won’t let anyone hurt her even if it means going against my pack and getting killed. And about me… You can kill me. I don’t mind but I want you to make sure that she would not be bothered again ever in her life.” I added.“What are you saying, Aiden?” Dylan whispered to me bitterly from behind, while I stood confidently in front of the Maester.“We cannot kill you, Aiden,” The Maester. “Now that you’re the alpha, it’s not possible to kill you,” he added and took another step forward. “But that girl…”“That girl should not be harmed. It’d turn me against my community, Maester,” I said sharply and he kept looking at me for a few seconds before looking away.“I heard about the fight. I know how immensely you love that human. But make sure that she st
Dylan’s POV: As Aiden and Austin moved towards each other, I turned to look at Emily and immediately carried her up in my arms to take her to a side. Suddenly, I saw Austin taking a leap towards Emily but Aiden attacked him from behind, digging his nails into Austin’s flesh and he screeched. Austin jumped out of Aiden’s grip and turned around to face him. They both glared into each other’s eyes and then growled before pacing forward and jumped up in the air, grabbing each other. Aiden once again dug his nails into Austin’s back and pulled him down to the ground with a thud after which he bit Austin on his shoulder and he wailed. I could see Aiden’s frustration in his eyes, the way he was biting and scratching Austin. Their fight continued for almost twenty minutes and they both seemed equally strong for each other. Finally, as Austin was injured and stepped down on his knees for a while, Aiden jumped up from behind and grabbed Austin, turning him around and pinning him to the ground.
Aiden’s POV: I kept walking towards Austin’s house while my pack paced ahead of me as I had planned. Suddenly, we heard Emily scream and I halted in my track.“It’s her, right?” Dylan asked me and I clenched my jaws, my eyes welling up.“He’s doing the biggest mistake of his life,” I added bitterly. “He’s going to die horribly,” I added.“Aiden, you need to calm down. She’ll be alright, don’t worry,” Mason said and I took a breath, before proceeding to walk forward. Finally we reached the house and I observed the surroundings closely to check how many wolves were there. I nodded at Dylan who signaled some of our men to go ahead from the left side while some went towards the right with dad leading them. I stood there in the middle, planning my way to kill Austin.Soon after we heard some howls and I realized that everyone there had turned. I was ready to turn too and proceed forward. However, my heart was racing with anxiety as I feared to see Emily. I didn’t want to see her in pain.
Aiden’s POV: He kept looking at me for a few seconds before taking a breath and lowering his head down.“Look, Aiden,” he started, rubbing his forehead with his fingertip. “I know you love her and if anything will happen to her then you’d be devastated. I don’t hate your relationship with her more than I care about you,” he added. “So I am going to come with you. They will help us,” he said confidently.“Us? Are you going to fight Austin with us?” Dylan asked him.“Of course. I cannot let Aiden be alone in this war,” he replied and placed his hand on my shoulder. I couldn’t believe him and kept looking at him wondering if he was the same person who hated my relationship with Emily so much that he wanted to kill her. Now he himself was ready to help me save her life.“Well, thanks. Shall we go now?” I asked and he nodded before we walked away from there.Dylan called everyone from our pack at our land’s clearing and they were quick enough to reach there within half an hour as their Al
Aiden’s POV: My blood was boiling thinking about how Austin managed to take Emily away from me. I promised her that I’d protect her at any cost and I failed. It made me feel disappointed in myself as I had her bracelet clenched in my hand.“Austin won. He took her away,” Lucas said in disappointment. “How the hell are we going to find her?” he added in frustration.“I know how,” I said and reached out for my phone in my pocket while they continued to look at me in confusion.“What are you doing?” Dylan asked me.“Are you calling Austin?” Mason asked as I began to call someone.“Hello,” I said as the person answered the phone. “Phil, did you do it?”“Yes, sir. I have got it,” Phil replied.“Great, where?” I asked.“Sir, I am sending you.” He replied.“Okay,” I said and hung up the call while a small smirk graced my face.“Who did you call?” Dylan asked me and I turned to Lucas.“Austin can never win against me, Luc. No one can,” I told him and he got more confused.“What are you sayin
Melissa’s POV: While dancing slowly with Dylan, I couldn’t help but glance around to see if Emily and Aiden could be seen.“Their meeting is going to last for a long time, I guess,” Dylan said and I blinked my eyes wide, looking at him.“How did you know that I was…?” I started.“I know, worrying about Emily,” he added and I lowered my eyes. “It’s okay. I don’t mind,” he said, smiling.“I am just worrying about how her meeting with Mr. Bill is going. This internship is very important for her. I hope she gets it. But why is this Bill guy taking so much time with each student?” I asked in frustration.“Oh, I am thinking the same,” Aria’s voice reached me as she moved towards me, while dancing slowly with Mason.“Do you think we should go and check on them?” I asked her, moving my hands away from Dylan.“Yes, we can,” Aria agreed.“No you guys cannot. Mr. Martin clearly told us that only those ten students should be around the staircase. He didn’t want any extra crowd there,” Mason poin
Emily’s POV: I was happy and excited to attend the party where I was going to meet Mr. Bill. I felt proud to be on Mr. Martin’s list and realized how my hard work finally paid off after so many years. With a smile on my face, I looked at myself in the mirror as I got dressed in an olive green knee-length A-line dress. The neckline was heart-shaped, and I left my hair loose on my shoulders."Be your best today, Emily," I told myself, taking a deep breath. Suddenly, the door swung open, and Aiden walked in, wearing a black suit with a black shirt and shiny black oxford shoes.“You look…” I stopped there as I adored him from up to down.“Hot?” he asked, walking inside. “Sexy? Handsome?” he asked further and reached my dressing table."Yes, everything you just said," I replied with a smile. "By the way, you've stopped knocking before entering the room since our first night together," I complained."Yep, because now I'm allowed to see you naked. So you can be in any condition, and I can w
Emily’s POV: I couldn't calm my breathing. My body was frozen in place, except for my eyes, which blinked rapidly. Nervousness, anxiety, and excitement washed over me. I recalled Aria's words and realized how wonderful it was to be with him. To feel his hands all over my body. To feel the warmth of his body against mine. To smell his pleasant scent so close. It had been incredible from the beginning when he kissed me to this moment, where I was lying in front of him, my legs spread apart and my chest heaving in anticipation as he held his erection, preparing to enter me.As his erection brushed against my vagina, I flinched and gasped, my heart racing."Relax. Just don't tighten up. Keep yourself loose," he suggested. I gulped and nodded, trusting him completely. With my heart skipping beats, I looked into his eyes as he slid his fingers between mine and moved forward, slowly sliding himself into me."Aah!" I let out a loud cry, moving my head up and grabbing his shoulder with my rig
Emily’s POV: I kept looking into his eyes as he moved his hands down to my waist and pulled me closer, making me gasp and swallow hard."I love you very much," he said, while I kept breathing heavily. "And because I love you, I don't want to rush into anything you're not comfortable with," he added. I blinked widely, realizing how understanding and considerate he was. I felt proud of myself for loving a guy who was selfless and humane, despite being an animal.“I don’t want you to feel any kind of pressure because you’re going through a lot right now. I want you to know that you can feel comfortable around me because we don’t have to do anything right now. It all can wait,” he told me and I blinked my eyes rapidly, feeling more love and passion for the man in front of me.“No,” I started and took a breath, before clenching his sleeves to keep him as close as possible. “I don’t want to wait. And I don’t want you to wait either,” I added and he kept staring into my eyes for a few secon
