"Georgina looked angry and unhappy, Tremont had been deceived by Aurora as well, the only thing she couldn't understand was why he allowed her to continue to live in the house.Tremont's mind wasn't something she could comprehend even though she had known him for years. Was her guess right that Tremont had developed a liking for that slut?"I hate her! CHAPTER TWENTY SEVEN.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~A bright flash of thunder jolted Aurora from her dazed-like state. The heavy rain continued to pour outside. She wrapped her arms around herself comfortingly. She was feeling so cold and it had nothing to do with the rain. Her tears were dried a long time ago, replaced by the bitter feeling of emptiness and guilt. She was also scared of the future ahead of her. What had she gotten herself into? All she had wanted was to be with Ryan, but now she suddenly found herself married, to a man who despised her. The only difference between George and Tremont was that she had once loved George and never did anything wrong that had made him loathe her that much. But she had offended Tremont, she had prevented him from marrying the love of his life, and he already vowed to make her regret. A knock sounded and she went rigid in panic, it wasn't until she heard John's voice that she relaxed a
CHAPTER TWENTY EIGHT~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~She gasped from the sudden contact and his tongue thrust deep into her mouth, his fingers sank into her hair to pull her closer. Tremont continued to ravage her lips, as though his very life depended on it. His skin felt hot against her skin but Aurora could only focus on the feel of his mouth as well as his taste. There had to be something wrong with him? Was he drunk? She thought in panic as she brought her palms to his chest, meaning to push him away, he wouldn't budge. With a throaty groan, he planted his lips on her neck and the exposed layers of her shoulders while his hands buried into her shirt to feel her skin. Tremont's body was burning, he couldn't explain the sensation, but this was exactly what he needed. The smell of the woman was quite familiar and pleasant, her lips were soft and tasted like honey. He held her even tighter to his body that was tightened with need. Those soft red lips
CHAPTER TWENTY NINE~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Aurora's eyes flickered open to a terrible headache. She felt as though her head was being hit by a carpenter's hammer. She had cried until her eyes hurt, her body had been in shock but somehow, she had managed to fall asleep after that horrible experience. She pushed aside the pillows which were still wet with tears from last night and managed to a sitting position. She could still feel his hot lips on hers, the way his palms had caressed her skin. Now, as she stared at the door, the only thing she felt was dread. Her eyes fell on the wall clock, it was nearly 7 AM. This was the time Ryan usually woke up.He always liked it when she was already present in the room whenever he awakes. By usual habits, she jumped to her feet and straightened her clothes. She slipped on her footwear, brushing her fingers through her entangled hair at the same time. Her eyes caught on the mirror by the dresse
CHAPTER THIRTY~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Tremont pushed the bowl of cereal, Ryan who usually possessed a huge appetite only ate a few bites. Ryan's features were dull, it had taken quite some time and efforts from Tremont to stop him from crying. John knew that Tremont was unhappy, so he was cautious about his next words. "Poor child looks so sad, maybe you can allow him to see her, at least to feed him? " The statement was barely out of his mouth when Tremont threw him an icy look. "Never bring her up again. And especially not in front of him, give him a week or two, I doubt he will remember that someone like her ever came into his life." Tremont spoke with confidence but John wasn't willing to give up just yet. "And what if he doesn't, besides, for how do you plan hide her in that room? Forever?""If it is necessary, then, I will." Tremont didn't seem as though he was merely joking about it, he casts his attention on Ryan who ap
CHAPTER THIRTY ONE~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Aurora entered the bathroom, she wondered how long she was going to remain trapped inside the room. The cook, Marie, had sent breakfast and lunch, all of which Aurora left untouched. She had no appetite, she wondered how Ryan was doing, it was dark outside and almost time for him to sleep. She wondered if he missed her, she certainly missed him! She wondered if he had his meals.Sighing aloud, she washed her hands and wiped them with a clean towel before stepping out of the bathroom. There was a figure already waiting for her,Georgina. Aurora paused midway into the room, both she and Georgina stared at each other for some seconds before she looked away. She noticed that Georgina was dressed in casual clothes and her hand was covered with bandages. Did Georgina hurt herself? "How does it feel staying in this room? Does it feel any different now that you are no longer a hired help?" Georgina brok

He kept staring at her wide-eyed, Georgina had the thought if she had turned into an alien. Trying to feed him was the last thing to do, but she supposed she could do this much to earn Tremont's gratitude. "Not hungwy...I wa--nt Miss Aw--ra!" His childish words spread an ugly frown across Georgina's features. She didn't need to hear the name of that witch this morning. "I'm done arguing with you! Have your milk now, or I might have to hit you! " She spoke in a firm tone that seemed to successfully frighten the child. Just as Ryan took the glass from her, his hand slipped and the cup fell to the ground, spilling milk, half of it splashed against Georgina's feet and some parts of her dress."What did you do! Your stupid self can't even hold a glass properly! " She hissed in a venomous m

She turned around swiftly, seconds later the person entered. She had not expected to see Linnet. The woman looked sickly than the last time Aurora had seen her. She found herself thinking about the words John had spoken the other night. Was Linnet really dying? She continued to stare at Linnet who was giving her a strange stare. "Are you okay?" Aurora broke the silence."A..Aurora?" Linnet pronounced as though she wasn't sure before she entered into a fit of coughs. Aurora hurried towards her and helped her to sit on the single sofa in the room."If you are very ill, you shouldn't have come here, you should stay in bed resting." Producing a glass of warm water, Aurora handed it to Linnet. She couldn't guess why Linnet was staring at her continuously, it
CHAPTER THIRTY FOUR~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Aurora struggled to keep up with his furious strides. "Where are you taking me?" She managed to ask against the heavy beat of her heart, he kept his expression unreadable and she suddenly had the thought if he was still extremely upset with her because he had seen his mother with her. "I was locked inside, she was the one who searched for me." She tried to explain. When she got no response, she continued in a soft whisper. "I know that you don't trust me but I'm not that kind of a person to take advantage of her because of her current state." Aurora still remembered the pain-staking look on Tremont's face moments ago when Linnet had mistaken him for her late husband. She thought how he must be suffering inside and even though he was currently holding her in death's grip, her heart sympathized with him. Even though she didn't know how the mother and son related in the past but she knew how painf
