"Come on Sezuka, let's hurry before it gets dark."

Sezuka ran faster towards her brother while holding her little pink bucket.

"So hard to walk on these tall grasses, nii-shan. Wait up!" she shouted as she struggled to walk on the grasses that nearly pass her height.

"Pfft..." Ken'ichi scoofed as he tried his best to contain his laughter.

'She looks like one of these grasses! HAHAHA!'

I bet Rezu-nee's gonna get angry at home once she noticed I went out with Sezuka. A while ago she's like..

"Don't go out yet, idiot! You just passed out a while ago, what if you pass out again on the way? If you want to go, go alone. Sezuka's staying home." is what she said.

I originally decided to go alone but as I was about to go, Sezuka secretly came to me fully prepared holding her pink bucket. I told her to stay but she insisted to come with me. 

So I'm like: 'Oh well, gotta think about where to sleep tonight.'

"NII-SHAAAAN! Help me!"

"Geez, that's why I told you to stay and wait for me at the house." I sighed.

"Nii-shan bad!" Sezuka pouted when she finally crossed the grasses.

"Now, now, don't throw a tantrum. We didn't even get any water yet. Come on, get up." I reached her hands and we walked together.

They've arrived at the lake just in time before the sunset touches it. So Ken'ichi went to take a quick bath at the flowing river near it before he started fetch some spring water while Sezuka played around.

"Hey nii-shan. Why do we need to fetch water here before the sunset touches it?" she suddenly asked while watching his brother fetching some.

"U-Um... I'm not sure but that's what father always says before when we were fetching water here together. It must got something to do with the taste, I'm not sure." he shrugged.

"Nii-shan, idiot." Sezuka said and ran along leaving Ken'ichi dumb-founded.

She's learning too much evil thoughts from that evil woman!

"She's being influenced badly!" he mumbled.

Speaking of influence, he suddenly remembered the rumors he heard the other day from the port as he was waiting for the bus to go home from work.

"Oh my, poor Sally. I heard she was just in the hospital just a week ago and now..."

"I heard the doctors also said she was in a deep sleep so I don't understand how she ended up at the sea like that. Could it be...?"

Out of curiosity, Ken'ichi went and checked what's the ruckus all about. Then he saw a dead woman lying on the ground before the authorities covered the body.

But something got his attention when he saw the dead woman. The markings on her body was the same as his mother's.

He just clenched his fists and gritted his teeth, then continued to walk as he continued to hear rumors being talked about.

"I heard Sally was found deeply asleep near the Silver Lake on the high mountain at the South before she was discovered and sent to the hospital."

T-That was the Lake we are fetching water from...!

"Many people were actually also falling into deep sleep recently. I wonder if this is the same as before." the woman on her 40's claimed as she was holding her market basket on her left arm.

People deeply asleep?

"Huh? How come I haven't heard any of that? Am I outdated?" the other woman standing with her questioned.

"Did you forget? My husband works for the Military Police Division that's why I got the news from him."

"Ahh, right!"

The woman holding a basket looked around for a moment then whispered, "This is top secret so don't tell anyone."

Wait, that wasn't even a whisper if I can hear it.

"Hm..." her friend nodded.

"Normally, people who were infected by the deep sleep virus were naturally collected by the Pointers immediately and get disposed but it is said that they were actually being experimented on. After the war 10 years ago, the Police Department agreed not to mess with the Organization thus they were prohibited to infiltrate any case involving them."

I gasped as a surprise along with them silently then they continued to gossip more. I can't believe I'm hearing gossips from these old ladies.

"T-Then... that means... The incident is happening again?!"

Incident? From 20 years ago?

"Shhhhhh! Keep quiet! Some pointers might just be around the corner." she shushed to her friend and they looked around again.

They walked continuing their gossip thus leaving Ken'ichi hanging. Then he noticed some two young ladies sat down behind his position talking also about the rumor. 

The square-stone chair they sat at had some plants between them that's why they can't see each other but Ken'ichi was sure there were two of them.

Good thing they talk loud enough to hear from my position.

"If the Pointers started to move again, then those people must be infected, right? Is the incident going to happen again?"

"I'm not sure but here's the mysterious part! After the Pointers got them, nobody knows what happened next, just like before. The case of missing people was actually a big issue circulating inside the Police Department but nobody, not even the Police dared to get through them after the war 10 years ago about their clash. The policemen who investigated the Pointer's Organization that year were never found again including their families until nowadays."

"Really? So scary! If it were me, I wouldn't want to be connected with them."

"Yeah, but I honestly think it's such a shame." one of the ladies said that made Ken'ichi curious.

The other girl remained silent, maybe giving a questioning look at her friend.

"Somehow, it's such a shame. Most Pointer guys I see at the Capital looked so greatly build and handsome. This must be the situation where they call them 'Tall, Dark, and Handsome', right?"

"I feel the same!" the girls giggled.

"Tch, women..." Ken'ichi whispered.

The noise grew louder so Ken'ichi decided to go already and forget what he just heard. The bus came shortly and Ken'ichi went home.

It's just some stupid rumor. I thought it was something big and serious.

"Okay, this should do for the week." Ken'ichi said as the water of the last bucket was completely full and filtered. While he was just covering it, he heard his sister shouting.

"Keniishiii! Nii-shaaaaaan!" Sezuka shouted as she runs towards me.

"There you are. We were just about to go."

"Th-There's! There's!" Sezuka pulled my clothes and pointed the way she just came from.

"There's what? We can't be losing time here, Sezuka. It's getting dark already. Pointers might come check this area soon, you know." I threatened as a joke. I mean, that rumor can't be true right?

"There's a man there!" she exclaimed and kept pulling me.

I shrink my eyes to see the direction and saw a man lying down away from us.

"That man may just be drunk and ended up here." I said but Sezuka kept insisting to go check him out.

Ken'ichi sighed.

They were about to go and check him out when Ken'ichi felt someone coming. He was startled and pulled Sezuka to hide immediately.

"Nii-shan--"

"Shh!" Ken'ichi shushed as they hid behind a rock big enough to hide them both. He covered his sister's mouth and kept trembling.

"Nii-shan?" Sezuka curiously whispered when she noticed her brother trembling. Ken'ichi just shushed her so she kept quiet then they heard some footsteps and rustling of small chains.

"Just keep quiet here. Don't move, alright?"

Sezuka nodded so Ken'ichi took a peek and he saw three men covered in dark black suits with weapons and a black suitcase.

"The Pointers." he mumbled as he saw the crest of the organization on their chest.

"What kind of weapon is that?" he thought and looked at it thoroughly.

D-Don't tell me... Are those... guns?!

I only heard those weapons from my father so I don't exactly know what it is. What I know is that it's so powerful that it can kill a person in just a hit. Why do they have those?

I thought these weapons weren't finalized because of the attack from two decades ago? Is that a false report from them?

One of the man served as a look-out while the other two checked the sleeping man. They opened their suitcase and did something Ken'ichi can't quite see then after a while, one of them made a thumbs up and they started to carry the man.

So the rumor was true after all?!

They were walking away already when suddenly...
