CHAPTER SIX
ARIA’S POV I walked towards them, gently, and they all looked at me like I was thrash. It was then, it occurred to me that I was wearing, torn and blood-stained dress, with my hair tattered and looking unkempt. “This is my wife, Aria,” Ryan yelled, and everywhere was silent, they didn’t bother to show me some respect. I looked to the ground in shame and Ryan raised my head and whispered into my ears. “Speak” His order sent shivers down my spine and I gulped hard. I looked up at Ryan and he gave me a deadly stare, like if I didn’t speak up, he would take me back to Klaus. “I…I…” “It’s only a weakling that stutters, it’s weird enough that we get a helpless Beta for a Luna, the least you can’t do is speak the fuck up,” Ryan yelled, and everyone gasped. I looked at him, with tears threatening to fall from my eyes, he didn’t return my stare, rather his face became more stern. Everyone was still waiting for me to speak, but I was still in shock that the bastard who saved my ass just made me look weak in front of people who are supposed to respect me. “I am Aria, Aria Newtown,” I yelled, even if my voice was shaking, I wanted to prove Ryan wrong, I might have lost my wolf, but I am not a weakling. “I was supposed to be executed for adultery but it seems like the Lycan king, wanted a whore for a wife, so he saved me,” I continued and he groaned loudly, holding my wrist tightly. He thought he would disgrace me, without being shamed too. “I cheated on my husband with a mere palace…” “STOP,” Ryan's voice came as a warning, mixed with threats. I might have triggered him but I didn’t feel bothered, he started it. “You are petty as fuck, don’t get on my nerves,” he whispered into my ears and I chuckled at his ridiculousness. “I didn’t know getting on your nerves was that simple, My lord,” I mocked as a hiss escaped my lips. “Hi honey, I am Olivia, your maid, allow me to take you to the health center and get your injuries patched,” An elderly woman said, taking me by my arms and I followed her with a smile. “Thank you, Oliver,” I said, giving Ryan a stare before my exit. Soon we were at the health center, and I was placed on a chair, it was a royal chair and I chuckled at the fact that they had a royal chair in the health center. “He must really loves you, to pick you up and forget all your flaws,” Olivia said, cleaning my wound gently, although it was hurting me, I still chuckled at her thinking. How would I tell her that Ryan doesn’t love me, or even give a shit about me, he just wants me to find his father’s killer in sixty days. “I bet he does,” I said, sarcastically, rolling my eyes at the ceiling. Soon we were done cleaning my injury. I got up to leave only to see Ryan coming inside the Health center, it felt like he couldn’t do without me, although that’s something insane to think. “Thank you, Oliver,” he said, and turned to me, “Let me take you to our chamber,” I turned to look at him in shock, what does he mean by “Our Chamber”? I can’t stay in the same room with him, he is a freaking pain in the ass, and it wouldn’t go well. “What do you mean by our chamber?” I asked as we entered the carriage, and no one could hear us. “I mean where we would sleep, except you prefer to sleep on the street, which I wouldn’t mind,” he restricted and turned to look outside the window as the rider rode the carriage. “I prefer to sleep in the street than share a room with you,” I yelled and he scoffed. “Look here, I do not like you, and if you are worried I would touch you, then think again, I hate cheats,” he spat out, looking at me and there were no emotions on his face as he spoke. I wondered who broke this man, and hell I can’t fix him, I’m here for business. “Why can’t we just get different rooms, if you hate me that much,” I retorted, giving him a deadly stare. “I want people to believe we are in a happy marriage, so you will have to pretend we are happy, sleeping in separate rooms would make them suspect,” his reply was rather cooler than I expected. The carriage came to a halt, and the guards opened the door for us. Ryan gave me a hand, after stepping out of the carriage. The urge to push his hands away and step out myself was building up every second I stared at his hands. I looked around and the guards were watching, giving me not much of a choice, I took his hands and got out of the carriage. We got into the bedroom and it was way bigger than Klaus’s bedroom, it was a real king-sized room, that’s why he is the Lycan king. “I saw the way you looked at the guard, don’t you dare,” His voice sounded threatening and I turned to look at him in anger. “I’m not a whore and if you call me that again…” “What’s going to happen?” He interrupted me rudely. “You will see,” I simply said, not finding any other words to say. “The palace is not a safe place, you need to be careful because they might use your weakness against you,” he said, pulling off his shoes. What was he talking about, where is safer than a palace with guards? It was then my brain clicked. “You think the killer is in the palace,” I said, as the thought came to my head. “You are smart, that I can say,” he complimented as he entered the bathroom. What is smart about being helpless in a palace that has a freaking killer. This feels like a death sentence.CHAPTER SEVENARIA’S POV The sounds of water slashing woke me up, and my stomach grumbled. I opened my eyes lazily, to check where the water was coming from and I guess it was coming from the bathroom, Ryan was having his bath. I yawned before jumping out of bed. “THE HELL,” My eyes widened as I saw myself wearing a night dress that didn't belong to me. Last night, I drifted to sleep, wearing my renewal dress, but now I am in a night dress, which means, Ryan undressed me.“That pervert,” I muttered in anger as I stared at the bathroom, wanting to knock it off. But before I could take that action, Ryan came out of the bathroom, with a white towel around his waist. My mouth fell open, and I forgot why you were initially angry at him. I have always imagined what his bare body looks like, since yesterday, and seeing it now made my mouth watery. As he walked into the room, my eyes were immediately drawn to him and it felt like we were in slow-motion. There he stood, w
CHAPTER ONEARIA’S POV My renewal dress was too plain and white, the initial colour I wanted was pink but Klaus picked white for me. “The Alpha picked a dress that suits you, your Majesty,” My seamstress said, smiling at me. I scoffed at the sound of that, they always found a way to give praise to Klaus, the husband that I was forced to marry after my parents and sister died.“It’s not my taste,” I hissed, and the seamstress shrugged her shoulders, as she continued sewing the dress on my body. I stared at the way the maid sewed my dress, it was the same way my late sister would, the event of that day was fresh in my memory like it happened yesterday. My parents and sister were murdered in my presence, as I hid behind a tree, unable to utter a word. Immediately after the death of my family, my stepmother, Daciana, forced me into marrying Klaus, the most ruthless Alpha in the pack. Klaus is unstoppable, the only person he bends to is the Lycan king, and all the other packs f
CHAPTER TWOARIA’S POV Tears blurred my vision and I tried to push the door wider, but Moxilla stopped me, yelling; “They would kill you, the punishment for adultery is death and Klaus doesn't want to die, he would kill you to silence you forever,” Moxilla is right, if Klaus finds out that I saw him doing this atrocity, he would kill me, to keep me silent. “I am supposed to be the one warming your bed every evening, not her,” Tasha said, smiling at Klaus, as she rode on him. Klaus smiled widely, licking his lips, I have never seen him smile like that.“We would get rid of her soon, she was given to meIn exchange for the debt your mother owed, she is just my commodity,” He said, huskily. My heart dropped hearing that. The hurt tears that fell from my eyes were because of the betrayal I got from Tasha, my step-sister.“You are a strong ass wolf, Aria, you can't cry,” Moxilla yelled, within me, but the tears fell from my eyes, uncontrollably. “I know you married her because
CHAPTER THREEARIA’S POVMy stomach was a bundle of nerves and I could barely breathe as all my resolve from last night leaked out of me. I slept with a freaking stranger after I found out my husband cheated on me, with my step-sister. Everything was messy. What the hell am I doing, dressed beautifully and about to get my first renewal with a man who maltreats me and still has the guts to cheat on me? The thought alone was enough to make me sick.“Aria!” I winced as Tasha’s sickly sweet voice drew closer with the sound of her footsteps. “You are shaking. My goddess, you look so nervous. It’s not your wedding, it's just a renewal ceremony. Try to relax,”She chuckled and shook her head at her private joke.Perhaps a day ago, her little chuckle might have brought a smile to my lips, now all it did was irritate me and make me think about how dangerously close she stood to me.So close, I could wring my arm around her neck and snap it in two seconds.“Jeez,” She let out a breath and
CHAPTER FOURARIA’S POV The hall was spinning around me, and I couldn't get a hold of myself, Sara kept grinning at me, excited about my downfall. My stomach growled and I was embarrassed and fearful.“She committed adultery, and that alone is punishable by death, she doesn't outrank the law,” Tasha yelled, and the pack screamed in agreement. I could hear some of the noble women mocking and calling me a whore. I turned to Klaus and he stared at me disgusted, like he hadn't done the same thing, all the while we were married. “I want a divorce,” I yelled, with the last strength in me and Klaus chuckled at my insensitivity.“That might be the only way to escape death, but I own you, Aria, you can't have a divorce,” He replied to my request, still giving me a deadly stare. Tears clouded my vision, I couldn't tell if it was because I might die or because of the betrayal from Tasha, did she hate me so much that she would want me dead? “See, she is losing her wolf, the moon goddes
CHAPTER FIVEARIA’S POV I opened my eyes and I found myself in a carriage, tied tightly to Ryan, and I almost grimaced. I took my time, to adore this dami-god that was seated beside me, my eyes turned toward him. His tall, athletic frame exuded confidence as he sat beside me. Every muscle was defined beneath his fitted shirt. Dark, hair framed a chiseled face, where deep-set azure eyes sparkled with mischief. A hint of stubble accentuated his strong jawline, adding a rugged edge to his otherwise perfect features. I remembered how he moved with a grace that seemed almost effortless, each stride drawing attention as if he were the only man in the world. The air around us felt charged, a magnetic pull that made hearts race and whispers flutter.“Staring is rude,” He said, clearing his throat, and giving me some side stares. I quickly reverted my gaze to the wide, as my cheeks burned red.“I’m sorry,” I muttered, not daring to look him in the eyes, he is too graceful for
