CHAPTER SEVEN
ARIA’S POV The sounds of water slashing woke me up, and my stomach grumbled. I opened my eyes lazily, to check where the water was coming from and I guess it was coming from the bathroom, Ryan was having his bath. I yawned before jumping out of bed. “THE HELL,” My eyes widened as I saw myself wearing a night dress that didn't belong to me. Last night, I drifted to sleep, wearing my renewal dress, but now I am in a night dress, which means, Ryan undressed me. “That pervert,” I muttered in anger as I stared at the bathroom, wanting to knock it off. But before I could take that action, Ryan came out of the bathroom, with a white towel around his waist. My mouth fell open, and I forgot why you were initially angry at him. I have always imagined what his bare body looks like, since yesterday, and seeing it now made my mouth watery. As he walked into the room, my eyes were immediately drawn to him and it felt like we were in slow-motion. There he stood, with a towel wrapped loosely around his waist, water glistening on his toned body. Each droplet seemed to catch the light, tracing down his chest and arms, making him look even more irresistible. His hair was damp and slightly tousled, and it framed his face perfectly, adding to that effortlessly sexy vibe. My eyes trailed down to how low the towel hung, teasingly, and I couldn't help but notice the way his muscles flexed as he moved slightly. I could see the hint of a smile playing on his lips as he noticed my gaze and my cheeks flushed with a mix of surprise and embarrassment. I tried to look away, but the way he carried himself was confident, yet relaxed, making it hard to look away. It felt like time stood still for a moment, and all I could think about was how captivating he was, and I hated it. “You are drooling, Aria,” he chuckled, brushing his wet hair backward as he broke the silence. I closed my mouth immediately and looked at the floor, embarrassed, about the whole thing. “You know we share the room, wear something when you are leaving the bathroom next time,” I said, coolly, still not able to look him in the eye. He looked at me and chuckled again. “Why did you undress me? I know you are a Lycan king but never knew you are also a freaking pervert,” I said, rudely, and he gave me a deadly stare, which I weirdly found attractive. “You wish, why would I undress a whore,” He retorted, taking an extra towel, to wipe dry his wet hair. “You married a whore, you would share in her shame,” I scoffed, and his anger increased, he hated being challenged. “Firstly, I didn't undress you, the maids did, you were sleeping with rags on,” He said, trying hard not to get angry. He would have said that and then called me a whore in the first place, I rolled my eyes at him, before sitting back on the bed and sipping some orange juice that was on the table beside the bed. Ryan picked up some of the clothes and headed to the bathroom to get changed when he stopped immediately. “You have fifty-nine days left,” He said, as he was about to twist the door knob of the bathroom. “What? I just got here, I am a beta Ryan, I have no freaking powers, how do I get my powers?” I asked, with my eyes opened wide in horror. “That's your problem, not mine,” His voice was cold as he spoke and I felt my stomach grumbling again. I miss Moxilla, if she was here, she would have given me some words of courage. “Who said if I can't find your father, you would send me back to Klaus,” I stated and he gave me a slight nod. “What if I do? What will happen to them? Because this marriage isn't your desire,” My voice was shaking as I asked. “Then maybe, just maybe, I will reconsider you being Luna of the pack,” With that, he disappeared into the bathroom, giving no more room for questions. He didn't assure me that I'd be alright, but it was worth holding on to, as I am looking for Ryan’s father's killer, I can be planning Klaus’s downfall as well. I have lived with Klaus for three years, I know all his weaknesses, that's why I need my powers back. I stood up from the bed and left the room with my nightwear on, I had no place in mind to go but I wanted to be somewhere far from Ryan. “My lady, you aren't allowed to walk around like this,” Olivia said, as I stepped out of the room. I didn't know she had been waiting for me, outside, but I just ignored her and kept on walking. “Stop, please,” She pleaded, chasing after me, trying to hold me back and prevent me from leaving my chamber in nightwear. “Olivia, I am not going far,” I assured her, increasing my pace, so she won't be able to catch up with me. “STOP,” she yelled, running towards me. I stopped and waited for her, and she came to my front immediately. “He would punish me if you go out like this, please, wear something decent, My lady,” She pleaded and I gulped. I knew she meant, Ryan would punish her. I felt disgusted, hearing that he punished women, and the ones that were old enough to be his mother. “You mean, Ryan would punish you? Is he that heartless,” I heaved, looking into her ocean-blue eyes. “Enough Olivia,” A feminine voice said, from behind me, and I turned around quickly, only to see a girl wearing a long white dress, her hair was white as well and her makeup was white. She gave the aura of a sorceress. Olivia gave a slight bow before leaving. “Who are you?” I asked, still looking at her pale grey eyes. “I am here to give you your powers, Aria,” she said, with a mischievous smile.CHAPTER ONEARIA’S POV My renewal dress was too plain and white, the initial colour I wanted was pink but Klaus picked white for me. “The Alpha picked a dress that suits you, your Majesty,” My seamstress said, smiling at me. I scoffed at the sound of that, they always found a way to give praise to Klaus, the husband that I was forced to marry after my parents and sister died.“It’s not my taste,” I hissed, and the seamstress shrugged her shoulders, as she continued sewing the dress on my body. I stared at the way the maid sewed my dress, it was the same way my late sister would, the event of that day was fresh in my memory like it happened yesterday. My parents and sister were murdered in my presence, as I hid behind a tree, unable to utter a word. Immediately after the death of my family, my stepmother, Daciana, forced me into marrying Klaus, the most ruthless Alpha in the pack. Klaus is unstoppable, the only person he bends to is the Lycan king, and all the other packs f
CHAPTER TWOARIA’S POV Tears blurred my vision and I tried to push the door wider, but Moxilla stopped me, yelling; “They would kill you, the punishment for adultery is death and Klaus doesn't want to die, he would kill you to silence you forever,” Moxilla is right, if Klaus finds out that I saw him doing this atrocity, he would kill me, to keep me silent. “I am supposed to be the one warming your bed every evening, not her,” Tasha said, smiling at Klaus, as she rode on him. Klaus smiled widely, licking his lips, I have never seen him smile like that.“We would get rid of her soon, she was given to meIn exchange for the debt your mother owed, she is just my commodity,” He said, huskily. My heart dropped hearing that. The hurt tears that fell from my eyes were because of the betrayal I got from Tasha, my step-sister.“You are a strong ass wolf, Aria, you can't cry,” Moxilla yelled, within me, but the tears fell from my eyes, uncontrollably. “I know you married her because
CHAPTER THREEARIA’S POVMy stomach was a bundle of nerves and I could barely breathe as all my resolve from last night leaked out of me. I slept with a freaking stranger after I found out my husband cheated on me, with my step-sister. Everything was messy. What the hell am I doing, dressed beautifully and about to get my first renewal with a man who maltreats me and still has the guts to cheat on me? The thought alone was enough to make me sick.“Aria!” I winced as Tasha’s sickly sweet voice drew closer with the sound of her footsteps. “You are shaking. My goddess, you look so nervous. It’s not your wedding, it's just a renewal ceremony. Try to relax,”She chuckled and shook her head at her private joke.Perhaps a day ago, her little chuckle might have brought a smile to my lips, now all it did was irritate me and make me think about how dangerously close she stood to me.So close, I could wring my arm around her neck and snap it in two seconds.“Jeez,” She let out a breath and
CHAPTER FOURARIA’S POV The hall was spinning around me, and I couldn't get a hold of myself, Sara kept grinning at me, excited about my downfall. My stomach growled and I was embarrassed and fearful.“She committed adultery, and that alone is punishable by death, she doesn't outrank the law,” Tasha yelled, and the pack screamed in agreement. I could hear some of the noble women mocking and calling me a whore. I turned to Klaus and he stared at me disgusted, like he hadn't done the same thing, all the while we were married. “I want a divorce,” I yelled, with the last strength in me and Klaus chuckled at my insensitivity.“That might be the only way to escape death, but I own you, Aria, you can't have a divorce,” He replied to my request, still giving me a deadly stare. Tears clouded my vision, I couldn't tell if it was because I might die or because of the betrayal from Tasha, did she hate me so much that she would want me dead? “See, she is losing her wolf, the moon goddes
CHAPTER FIVEARIA’S POV I opened my eyes and I found myself in a carriage, tied tightly to Ryan, and I almost grimaced. I took my time, to adore this dami-god that was seated beside me, my eyes turned toward him. His tall, athletic frame exuded confidence as he sat beside me. Every muscle was defined beneath his fitted shirt. Dark, hair framed a chiseled face, where deep-set azure eyes sparkled with mischief. A hint of stubble accentuated his strong jawline, adding a rugged edge to his otherwise perfect features. I remembered how he moved with a grace that seemed almost effortless, each stride drawing attention as if he were the only man in the world. The air around us felt charged, a magnetic pull that made hearts race and whispers flutter.“Staring is rude,” He said, clearing his throat, and giving me some side stares. I quickly reverted my gaze to the wide, as my cheeks burned red.“I’m sorry,” I muttered, not daring to look him in the eyes, he is too graceful for
CHAPTER SIXARIA’S POV I walked towards them, gently, and they all looked at me like I was thrash. It was then, it occurred to me that I was wearing, torn and blood-stained dress, with my hair tattered and looking unkempt.“This is my wife, Aria,” Ryan yelled, and everywhere was silent, they didn’t bother to show me some respect. I looked to the ground in shame and Ryan raised my head and whispered into my ears.“Speak” His order sent shivers down my spine and I gulped hard. I looked up at Ryan and he gave me a deadly stare, like if I didn’t speak up, he would take me back to Klaus.“I…I…”“It’s only a weakling that stutters, it’s weird enough that we get a helpless Beta for a Luna, the least you can’t do is speak the fuck up,” Ryan yelled, and everyone gasped. I looked at him, with tears threatening to fall from my eyes, he didn’t return my stare, rather his face became more stern. Everyone was still waiting for me to speak, but I was still in shock that the bastard wh
