Cirilla's Point Of View

I felt it all.

I sensed it all.

And heard it all.

Even the tiniest sounds of owls hooting, the night animals' movements in the dark, the sounds of the trees shrieking under the little force of the windy, cold midnight air.

The sounds of the twigs crying under my footfalls, dried-up leaves shattering against the dust. I heard it all and they made the ache in my bones, against my joints, the pain that coursed through my veins, and the throbbing in my head worse.

I could feel the nerve-wracking energy within me, and the dark whispers in my head, reached the gates of my soul, wanting blood.

I had no idea what state I was in, but my only thought was on finding Jasmine. I needed to see her. I had to.

My inner vision was bloodshot red, and even so, in the darkness, it was clearer than in the day. I was in the woods in Greengrove and was moving with great speed, tracking the cabin Jasmine had mentioned in her text.

Before I saw it, I heard the deafening growls of beas

Asher's Point Of ViewThe sky was darker than usual and starless. I glanced up at the moon, staring briefly before pulling my eyes back to my phone. I've been trying Stefan's phone for almost an hour now, but he wasn't picking up, and neither was Lyra, Cirilla, or anyone.I was going crazy with fear and worry. Something was wrong. I could feel it."Maybe they are having way too much fun and can't hear their phones ringing," Andy bit out quietly from the back seat, trying to alleviate the quiet mood and deadly tension in the car.I didn't reply. I had my eyes up on the road ahead. "Wren," I muttered, before I could finish my words, I heard his sharp voice."I'm on it," He stepped on the brakes, driving at the fastest speed. My eyes remained trained on the road. We were still a few distance from the borders of the town, and I just couldn't wait until we got to Beaverton.Ryker was pacing in my head. He was restless. He felt fear. Something he never feels. As the seconds ticked by, I wa

Asher's Point Of ViewIt was almost dusk. My warriors and I had just returned from scouring through every nook and cranny in Beaverton trying to find Cirilla. But we had no luck, I just hope Theo and the others were having better luck than us. At midnight, we moved into other towns in Oregon, just in case she was still in the city, but I highly doubted it. I sauntered into the small living room of Jasmine's apartment, watching the warriors from the Council ransack the entire place, trying to find even the slightest clue where Cirilla could be, or where the witch, Emily, could be hiding or anything that could give us a lead to where Mason took her. I shut my eyes, taking in deep breaths, but unfortunately, I can't seem to get enough air into my lungs. The image of Cirilla filled up my entire thoughts, and I couldn't stop the anger, guilt, and pain that killed me for losing her, and for not recognizing who she was.Everyone kept saying that wasn't on me and I couldn't have possibly kn

Cirilla's Point Of ViewThe heat that accompanied the pain in my body seeped deeper into my bones, dragging me out of the deep silent cave of slumber.I gasped awake. My lips parched and my throat was too dry as well. I swallowed hard, muffling the groan that almost climbed its way to my lips. For a minute or two, my eyes were pinned on the wooden ceiling, adjusting my vision to the lighting in the room, and memories from earlier seeped in.Without warning, I jerked up to a sitting position, hugging my stomach with both my hands as the pain from there grew worse."You shouldn't be up. It might reopen your wounds," A voice sounded calmly. I knew that voice. With almost impossible difficulty, I raised my eyes to meet Mason Hartley standing a few distance from me, and he started to the bed with a bowl and napkin in his hands.I looked around and there were napkins soaked in blood, discarded aside in bowls. "I tried to stop your bleeding, but couldn't," He plopped on the bed, inches away

Cirilla's Point Of ViewMason's words were ringing in my ears, and then bouncing up and down the corner walls of my mind as I kept struggling hard to understand what he was saying. He created this darkness?Thousand years ago? What the fuck did I awaken? My traitorous legs were trembling. I had no idea why, but even as Mason insisted I sat on the bed, somehow, I preferred the spot I was against the wall. It kept me in pain, but it made me alert.Oh fuck, of all fucking times, Nina chose to be MIA now. I couldn't feel her, I couldn't connect with her. Oh, I needed her. This pain was killing me."Ci," At his call I jerked my eyes to him. He was studying me, and I was doing the same. Eager to know what he meant by everything he had said, but still, scared to find out what it might mean because that would mean everything he said earlier was true. But my curiosity won like it did every fucking time. "Tell me," Thankfully, it sounded calmer than my raking, unstable emotions. "What did you m

Cirilla's Point Of ViewI woke up to a strange smell and faint sounds of objects clacking, and some giggling. I was on a sofa in a small confined room. An Attic."She's awake!" A small voice chirped, and as I looked around, I found myself surrounded by a bunch of children, circling me, giggling, and watching me like I was the most interesting thing they'd seen.I attempted to straighten up but it was next to impossible with the pain killing me. I watched an older girl, Ria, maybe thirteen or so, lead the others out of the room, before I checked my stomach searching for my sore injuries. But there was nothing. No bleeding. No open flesh, only slight stinging and weakness in my bones.“Nina?” I called desperately but I was greeted yet again by penetrating, appalling silence bouncing up and down the space of my mind.“Come on children, give her some space,” I recognized that voice. It had begged me frantically to stay awake. To remain conscious and not to give into apparent weakness that

Cirilla's Point Of ViewThe glow of blinding lights was the only thing that filled my vision for long, torturing seconds before a magic force vomited us in the middle of a forest. The natural darkness had begun to evade, the morning was brighter."I feel sick," Kali's words yanked my attention to her side. She was resting against the bark of a tree, her chest rising and falling with heavy pants. "Are you okay?" As her eyes traveled over to me, I looked away, getting off the ground, and dusting the leaves and dirt from my clothes and hair."I'll live," I managed to say as her stare persisted on me. "Where the hell are we?""Still in Seattle, but somewhere safe," She jumped to her feet, the bottom of her long dress sweeping the leaves as she strutted closer. "At least for now,""In the middle of nowhere?" I cocked a brow. And a chuckle loosened effortlessly from her lips. "There's a house up ahead," She immediately led the way, and soon, we stood in front of an old, abandoned house."

Cirilla's Point Of View I breathed in the scent of the coffee in my hands, loving the way the hotness seeped from the mug into my palms, working wonders in my body. I heaved another umpteenth sigh like I've done in the last hour, rubbing a thumb on the small moon surrounded by ruby stones on my necklace, forcing myself to think about anything but Asher. But it wasn't working. I was worried. He should have gotten my letter by now. What the hell was going on? I shut my eyes, weighing on my decision. At this point I didn't know which would be better, to push through with my journey to New Orleans, or to head back to Oregon. To be sure Asher was all alright. I groaned, unable to decide. If the Council or Mason hadn't attacked Asher's pack yet, I could be placing the pack in danger if I suddenly showed up. At least not knowing the full truth yet. That witch had told me the Alpha King would help. That I could trust him. And more importantly, he had answers to every question. I felt s

Asher's Point Of ViewRyker and I were moving fast, racing through one of the forests in Seattle. This was the fastest route to get to Beacon Fall. It was almost the outskirts of Seattle. We had obviously wasted so much time already, scouring through every nook and cranny of Redmond, searching for Cirilla, with no luck at all. Theo, Julia, Malia, Carl, Eric, and warriors from the Crescent Moon Pack had already spread out to other cities, in case she was no longer in Redmond. But that wasn't the case. She was there. A vampire informant had reached out to Cameron. We had no idea how she was even able to track the place, but she was there. Even as we were moving as fast as we could, I wished we could go faster. Our gargantuan paws hammer into the earth as we sped by trunks, and leaped over obstacles. I felt so close to finding her, yet still so far. Restless and angry and felt an anguish I had never felt before. As the sun bloomed over the horizon, I knew Theo, Julia and the rest of t

Asher's Point Of View My heart was pounding in my chest and I took deep breaths to calm it down.“Nervous?” Theo chuckled, placing a hand on my shoulder as we stared down the beautifully decorated aisle where Cirilla would be coming through any minute from now.“Nope,” I lied, my heart in complete chaos as I tried to steady my breathing. “Sure he is,” Wren voiced coldly, “He's a second from losing his shit,”I fought the urge to glare at him. “Get out of my head, demon,” My eyes remained fixed on the blank evening air. “Relax man! Just take a deep breath otherwise at the rate you'll end up having a heart attack the second you see her,” Stefan whispered from my left, and I couldn't tell if that was a warning or a piece of advice.“Enough, all of you. You're being too loud,” I refrained from shouting, keeping my voice low instead, and wondering why I chose all three of them to be my groomsmen. I should have gone with Daryl, Andy, and Cory instead.‘They are right though. Tune it down

Cameron's Point Of View Hastily, I flipped through the papers, going through them, and as soon as I was satisfied, I scribbled my signature at the bottom of the document, sealing a multibillion deal.I gently placed my fountain pen on the table, glancing up to see Trevor's face beaming with so much elation. “Happy now?” I smirked, getting off from my seat, and pinning together the suit jacket of my tux. “Hurry up and don't be late,” I told the smiling vampire, before strutting out of my office at Castle Corps. Today I had no choice but to step into town and close a deal we've been working on for several months now.I chuckled, as a smile stalked my lips. I couldn't just stop smiling. Today was a good day. The very best. I reached the elevator doors and pressed a button. As soon as it opened, I stepped through the door, at the same time, snapping my fingers, and instantly teleported myself to one of my penthouse suites in Louisiana.I glanced around the large suite and instantly my e

Asher's Point Of View“Just a little sec,” Louis yelled over the loud music playing in the bar as he kept shaking the bottle of wine. In one swift move, he flicked the top open and there was a loud popping sound followed by the dramatic mess of the alcohol pouring around.“Woah,” I heard Eric scream from a corner with a random female on his lap, while he kept chugging down one of the concoctions Louis had mixed the second the party started, and without mincing words, they were all clearly drunk.I groaned in frustration, bringing my fingers to block both of my ears as Amy, Shirley, Enzo, and Dorian were murdering Ava by Famy at a far corner which I clearly remembered wasn't even sung that way.I pulled my beer to my lips, taking a sip. I looked around from the dancing crowd and saw Julia and Wren sitting, also looking completely bored while Kayla and Carl were making out in the backseat booth of the bar, and Malia, Daryl, and Theo were unaccounted for.And here I was seated at one of

Cameron's Point Of ViewI knew it.There was nothing left inside of me. I was nothing more than an empty shell. I felt absolutely nothing but a pain in my heart. A darkness that loomed over every inch of my mind. Just patiently waiting until it finally took over every piece of me.It wouldn't be that bad to shut it all out. To rid myself of this pain that had filled the cavity in my soul, but one glance at Theo and my mate, reminded me I wasn't the only one suffering through it. They needed me. And I needed them. But I couldn't deny it. I also felt a little fear in the smallest crevice of my heart. We would never be okay. There was no way we would ever survive this loss.It was worse than knowing she was somewhere out there but we couldn't find her.Eighteen long years of never giving up. Of searching relentlessly for our little princess, and in the end she ended up in a coffin. It was the most distraught sight for a parent. It was never supposed to be like this. A parent should never

Cirilla's Point Of View For a second I felt a surge of excruciating pain starting from my chest right where the pointed edge of the phoenix blade pierced me, spreading through my bones, and it was as though my whole soul was being sucked into a funnel. But just when I thought the pain was about to get worse, darkness covered my vision, dominating the light around me. And I felt absolutely nothing. That was when I knew it without a doubt. I was dead.At the speed of light, everything that happened within the last minutes of my life flashed before my eyes and the last image of Asher's teary and broken gaze filled with so much pain and sadness tore me completely apart and without realizing, tears pooled out of my eyes. The hurt in his eyes was heartbreaking.I sobbed silently, and abruptly, the darkness that surrounded me began to fade into a blinding light that I had to shut my eyes.By the time I pulled my eyes open, I found myself in the middle of the worst scene of my life, or rathe

  • CIRI: THE LOST TRIBRID PRINCESS   Chapter 74

Asher’s Point Of View No!A growl resonated within my chest as Mason's words filled my mind. I just knew he was lying. He had to be. There was no way Cirilla's death had to be the end of him. That couldn't be possible. The moon goddess couldn't be so cruel.I did everything to break out from whatever effect Mason's magic had on me, keeping me frozen. But I couldn't. I could barely feel Ryker anymore and even Azalea's strength had weakened greatly from the fucking veil in the sky, blocking out our powers.I could neither connect with Cirilla through our mate bond. Instead, I was forced to watch the broken state she was in and witness her pain I couldn't stop the tears that filled my eyes as her blue eyes moved around and finally fell on mine.“Don't do this,” I begged. Mason was a lying bastard. There must be another way.But the look in her eyes was final. She had made up her mind.No Cirilla! The words echoed in my head but I couldn't get them out. Suddenly her eyes glowed brightly

Cirilla's Point Of View Growling, Nina charged to the surface, and using my magic I dug my claws into the ground creating a magical force of explosion that flung them around, giving those around some time before they would get to them.I glanced over my shoulder at Shirley. She was already in her wolf form and Kayla next to me panicked as these beasts were already bridging the distance between us.Shirley had lunged instantly at one when I heard her panicking cry from over my shoulder.I turned to her just in time to stop one of those things from clawing at her.“My magic!” She screamed, “Something's wrong! I can't use my magic. It's weakening,” “What?”“The boundary spells must be down. It's a veil, it's blocking out our magic, and every source of our powers, but I don't understand why it isn't affecting you,” Kayla rushed in fear.“Back to the mansion!” I yelled, releasing volts of magic at them but they seemed completely unaffected.Shirley and Kayla started for the route leading

Davina's Point Of ViewWe had almost all the ingredients we needed for the spell, including Sheila's blood. I don't know how Asula got it, but Sheila had no idea of what we were about to do. Asula had sent Rowena to retrieve the last piece of ingredients, and she was escorted by Kane and a few of his warriors. We had left the cottage and now followed the familiar trail to the ancient magic cave. Once we entered, she turned to the stone table in the middle, unloading the required ingredients from her basket on the table.“We must begin at once and be done quickly,” She said, scrolling through the Grimoire.“And the last piece of ingredients Rowena has gone to fetch?”“Oh don't worry about her. We have all we need here. I just sent her on a little adventure with Kane. I don't want her here for the spell,”Her words surprised me but I also didn't want her here for the spell, especially with the phoenix stone out in the open.“You have to be careful of the witch. Davina's Point Of ViewWe spent the rest of the night going around the forest. At first, each trail either led us to a dead end or took us through another circle. And Rowena's constant mumbling was a crown on the insane frustration I felt. It took me every bit of self-control not to plunge the dagger in my boots into her chest and I kept reminding myself that I needed her just as much as she needed me to get out of there. Alive. So in the meantime, we were all we had. After hours of going around in circles in the forest, we finally found our way out, bursting out in the middle of a long narrow path, and up ahead seemed like a village. We moved hastily in the darkness, and using the single torch on a stick we managed to light up to see in the darkness. We trekked up the hills and burst into the village. I stopped in my tracks, and as expected there was no single soul in sight. But something else felt wrong. The place felt deserted.“Something doesn't feel right,” Suddenly, I felt a lit
