Chapter 6 - Demon but her guardian...!!!

Rose raised her curious gaze and looked at the man she called uncle. She just nodded; as long as this man would let her meet her parents, it didn’t matter what kind of promise he asked her.

“Then, let’s go to meet your parents first; as for the promise, I’ll take it in front of your dad,” Alexander said, his voice steady and reassuring; how gentleness was enough to give Rose calmness because she needed someone to believe and hold on and Alexander threw away the real him.

His gentle smile hid the darkness and mystery behind it, and he became a different person in front of the girl; even Daniel and Butler Harold couldn't see their eyes; the man in front of him was not their master; they couldn’t accept the reality because it was just an illusion.

“Let’s go,” Alexander said to the girl, and Rose took his hand.

Alexander brought her where he had kept the bodies; he was just waiting for this girl’s last meeting with her parents.

When Rose saw her parents, it seemed they didn’t take the baby out because the baby was just a six-month fetus, and the baby was a boy; since both were dead, they didn’t want to separate the baby from the mother.

Rose kneeled in front of their casket and sobbed silently, but she didn’t break down at all; instead, she looked as if she were ready for a war,

“Dad, Mom, baby, I know you don’t want to leave Rose alone, but don’t worry, I have an uncle now, he said he will protect me, you can go now in peace, don’t be worried, just enjoy with baby, goodbye but not forever, we will meet one day in heaven, dad, mom, I’ll carry you forever, in my heart, just be happy in there with mom and baby.”

Rose said with a smile, even though tears kept falling uncontrollably; her brave smile masked the pain in her heart; everyone looked at her in admiration, but only one person knew her pain.

The man knelt beside her and grabbed her little hand. “Mr Henson, you did well. I, Alexander Ariston, promise you, I’ll not let you down; the duty you left me, I’ll complete it, so now you can leave in peace.”

Only Alexander knew how much Maxwell did for the girl in front of him and how much Maxwell lost to protect the girl who was his daughter.

“Now, Little Rose, you have to promise me something in front of you, Dad,” Alexander said to the girl as he looked at her little face.

Rose raised her sad eyes to look at the man as she waited for his words. Her gaze was full of determination, as if even he would ask for her life; she would give it because this man was her savior.

“You will never grow up holding on to your past, you will never walk on a path of darkness, I’ll give you a world full of light, the world your father wants for you, but you have to promise, uncle, you will not go behind your past from now on.”

Alexander’s words carry a solemn promise and guiding light for the little Rose.

Rose was shocked when she realized the uncle in front of her read her mind; he knew what she was thinking right now, surprise and fear etched on her eyes.

“Un…uncle, I…” She was too young to hide her thoughts from a shrewd man like Alexander.

“Do you want your father’s effort to go in vain?” He asked as his tone suddenly sounded dangerous, and Rose was afraid. She couldn’t help but shiver in fear; the height of his aura was too intimating on her little soul.

“Promise me, Little Rose, otherwise I’ll leave you on your right now, and you know they will come back again, and your parents' sacrifice will be for nothing.” Alexander changed his tone.

Rose felt fear again; if this uncle left her alone, she could never survive. She had no one right now, and this man came to her like an angel. Little Rose knows the man before her was not an angel but a demon, but it didn’t matter as long as she had him as her guardian.

“Okay, uncle, I promise,” Rose promised to look at her parents' soulless body; she knew she had to live because she couldn’t let her parents down.

Alexander smiled, and his gentle demeanor returned as if it was not him who was trying to scare her.

“Good girl, let’s go. Your parents need to go to their destination.” Alexander held the girl’s little hand and walked away; Rose turned her head back and looked at her parents one last time and fisted her other hand.

“Dad, Mom, I’ll find them when the time comes. I’m sorry, but I can’t keep my promise, but it will be our secret.” Rose turned her head as tears fell, but she held back and held her head high and walked away, holding Alexander’s hand.

She was not weak and never would be. It was just that the time was not right, so she had to pretend to be weak to get protection from this man because she was not capable of protecting herself, but she needed to live, she would get on living until the day she tore these people who killed her parents.
