CHAPTER SIXTY-SIX
ACE’S POV
Varieties of beautiful flowers are blooming in the entire hall, expensive decorations that have got everyone gushing.
Everything looks posh and I’m impressed. Our mothers did a great job organizing this wedding. It’s indeed the talk of the town.
The flock of journalists aligned outside with their myriad of cameras makes it look more of a red carpet show than a wedding.
I scan the mighty hall that is actually filled with people and everyone is so quiet and elegantly dressed. I spot a few of my uncles and cousins who keep making funny faces at me every time our eyes meet. I’m going to get properly laughed at , after this ceremony.
I always bragged to them about being the last person who is going to get married among them, but here I am, about to get married the first.
RIP Ace.

CHAPTER SIXTY-SEVEN“What the actual hell is doing on here?” Alora asks astonished the moment I walk into in the living room with Sophia cuddled up in my arms.Seven soon left the hospital for an urgent business deal and there was no one else with her and I couldn’t just leave her there. My house was the best option at that moment.“Not now Alora”“I don’t want her here!” Alora screams furiously and I look at her in awe. The feud between them runs deeper than I thought“Look, there was no one at the hospital to look after her or better still take her home, I couldn’t just leave her there”“Yes you could?, I won’t care if she rots there!”“Alora she is carrying your niece or nephew, you need to be a bit considerate towards her rig
CHAPTER SIXTY- EIGHTASHER’S POV“Breakfast is ready” Alora announces as I walk into the diner.“Good morning Princess”“Good morning”“Where is Luna?”“In the kitchen” I go over to the kitchen where are fine Luna washing dishes in the sink and when she turns and sees me, she acts like she hasn’t and concentrates on her plate.“Good morning Luna” I greet calmly as I approach her.“Good morning” she greets back not even sparing me a glance.“Alora must have told you what happened yesterday”“Yes, she did”“Luna, all of this was sudden, I don’t even know how it got to this level, Sophie and I…&
CHAPTER SIXTY- NINEACE’S POV. THREE MONTHS LATER.Sophia didn’t survive the surgery, but she brought forth the most beautiful baby girl I have ever seen in my entire life and we are all doing a great looking after her.Luna moved in with me, so the baby spends most of the time with us since Luna is her mother. Once in a while, she spends the night with Asher and Alora. So far, everything is moving smoothly, even though we all wish that Sophia was alive to complete the circle.Sophia wasn’t bad at all, the only thing that made her the way she was, was her obsession with me. When she was pregnant and lived at Asher’s house, I saw a total different person in Sophia and I was impressed.Asher brought the good girl in her and I wish she was here with us.Anyway, we love her, but God l
CHAPTER ONE.LUNA’S POV.“Luna, I understand that you are going through a tough time but you can't keep shutting yourself out on everything. Sulking won't do you any good and you know it" My best friend, Alora advices, and I know she's right. She's always right, but I just can't bring myself to chill right now. I just ended a three-year relationship with my boyfriend... I mean ex-boyfriend. He was a workaholic and I didn't like it at all. If he wasn't canceling dates, he was postponing or forgetting them. I've had to spend the night on his couch countless times because I was waiting for him to show up on our planned date which he never showed up. I had put up with that attitude for the years and when I realized that he wasn't even trying to change or at least make-out time for me, for us, for our relationship, I called it off. He had been in Germany for over two months and I broke up with him over text and voice mail. I'm done with his negligence and absenteeism in my life. I deserve
CHAPTER TWO.LUNA’S POV.I open my eyes and graon in pain as I feel my head hurt like it had been hit by a truck. I sit up straight on the bed and scan the bedroom. It's not mine. I would never have black drapes, black carpet and a black duvet. The events of last flood my mind and I lie on the bed covering my face with the dovet as I groan in frustration. Ace and I had quite a drinking spree last night and ended up spending the night on his bed. This is just crazy. I retrieve my phone from the nightstand and when I unlock it, I'm not surprised to see thirty missed calls from Alora. I bailed on her last night and I know she's going to kill me when I get home.Just then, a door opens and Ace walks in with a towel tied around his waist. His wet hair is ruffled and I swallow hard when my eyes fall on his well formed eight packs. The droplets of water trickling down the abs drive me insane and without warning my mind travels to what happened between us last night. The way he had handled
CHAPTER THREE.LUNA’S POV.“Thank you so much for the heart attack! There's something called a cellphone Luna and you've got one, a very good one at that. One phone call would've saved me all the trouble."Says a raging Alora when I step into the living room. I'm dead meat."I'm sorry.""I said to go out and have fun, not to unleash the whore in you.""I couldn't help it, Alora please let me explain.""I'm all... " She suddenly halts and looks at me from head to toe. "Whose clothes are those you have on?" She asks as she stands akimbo."Um... It's part of the explanation.” I purse my lips together."Ok then, commence." She says as she makes herself comfortable on the couch. I walk helter skelter around the living room wondering how I have to start telling to her that I had a one night stand which was actually a memorable one with the famous Ace Damon. When I'm done narrating to her the events of last night and this morning, Alora is staring at me like I suddenly turned into a ghost. I
CHAPTER FOUR.ACE’S POV“You have been talking to your mum about us, haven't you?" She asks with a frown."No babe, it's my decision. I really want us to get married. I want us to start our own family already.""Like... You wanna have children?""Sounds cool right?" I ask with a smile."No it doesn't, this is not cool." She denies flatly."Why not?" I ask confused."We already had this talk the other time you were hell bent on impregnating me. I'm not having kids until I'm twenty-six. I still have three more years to go.”"Come on, love.""I'm serious Ace, no kids until I'm twenty six.”"So, what I really want doesn't matter to you?""Provided I'm the one to carry the pregnancy for nine months while you get all the congratulations, it doesn't!" She says firmly and I bow my head down in dissapointment.I'm twenty-six years old and financially stable enough to raise children, but the woman I will love to have my children with is not ready. All I can do is wait. Three years won't kill me
CHAPTER FIVE KYLE'S POVI completely loose it when Luna shuts her eyes and her hand slides away from mine. I watch blankly as the nurses take her into the emergency room. I'm about to call doctor George, but I stop when I see him rush into the emergency ward with other doctors. I walk helter-skelter about the corridor, totally confused and frustrated. She was perfectly okay yesterday. She had taken down all the financial records of the day and presented to me and she didn't even show any sign of ill health. We even had dinner at our parents place and she had entertained them with complains about how I always beg her to put on my cufflinks every morning in my office.I love my baby sister despite the fact that she annoys the hell out of me sometimes. I have adored her from the day she was born. I was five years old. I can still remember how I cuddled her in my arms and refused to let her go when my father took me to the hospital. Every night at home I would sneak into her bedroom and w

CHAPTER SIXTY-FIVELUNA’S POVWords cannot begin to describe the way I feel about myself right now.I’m nothing but a looser.Just within the twinkle of an eye, I lost my baby and the love of my life and in a few days time, he’s going to get married to someone else. This is worse than nemesis. No matter how much I try, it doesn’t seem to me like I will ever be able to get over them. The thought of loosing Ace to Sophia stabs my heart every time I think of it.How I wish things could be different.I lost the son, it’s so unfair that I have to lose the father too. I wish I could just snap my finger and everything turns out the way I want them to be.I just want to be with Ace.A knock on the door snaps me out of my thoughts and I go to open it.
CHAPTER SIXTY-FOUR“Oh boy!” Alora exclaims.“Thank you very much Mr. Clarkson”“You’re welcome”I quickly hang up and hand the phone over to Alora. I don’t know why but I’m suddenly very hot. I quickly take off my tux jacket and toss it aside. This can’t be. This totally can’t be.I had a one night stand with Sophia?“She is officially a whore to me now” Alora condemns.“Do you think she knows it was me?”“I don’t know Ash, I really don’t know”“If Ace finds out about this, nothing will stop him from calling of that wedding”“Yeah, even the fact that she’s pregnant…” she suddenly stops and gasps loudly.&ld
CHAPTER SIXTY-THREEASHER’S POVI park my car in the garage and alight from it. I walk to the front door and ring the bell. Just Alora and I live here now. Luna’s parents insisted on taking her home after the miscarriage and there was nothing I could do.I miss her.I miss her dearly. Her sweet melodious voice that always caused blood to sing in my veins anytime she spoke, her charming smile that lightens my entire day. She’s my perfect queen.I’m going to spend the night in her bedroom, that’s what I’ve been doing these past weeks.I miss cuddling her, kissing her forehead and preparing her breakfast every morning before going go to work.I miss her so much that it hurts. The front door is opened by Alora and the moment she sees me, her face lights up. I wonder why.
CHAPTER SIXTY TWOACE’S POVI can’t feel anything, I can’t hear anything, I can’t see anything. Everything seems blurry, the voices around me sound like I’m in a distant world away from every one else. This all feels like thirty different kinds of wrong. This is worst than a nightmare, it’s a nemesis. My unborn child is dead and his mother is there fighting for her life.Like damn! I can’t loose both of them. If the baby is gone, God should at least save Luna for me. I’d go crazy if anything should happen to her. That girl has got my heart. All of it and I love her from here to the moon and back.Right now every one is impatiently waiting for the doctor. The news of the accident spread like wild fire. Her mother has been wailing ever since she got he
CHAPTER SIXTY-ONEKYLE’S POVI finally get Alora to sleep after several minutes of her wailing and cursing. I clearly understand her pain. Alora and Luna are more than just best friends, more of twin sisters who have got a special connection. They met in junior high school and since then, they have been inseparable.I don’t just see her as my sister’s best friend, she is my baby sister too and I love her to bits. I’m so happy that she’s alright, I don’t know what I would have done if both of them had to be in that same critical condition. Now that she’s here, I feel like everything is going to be alright.“Sweet dreams sweetheart” I say as I plant a gentle kiss on her forehead and exit the ward. I walk to the outpatient ward where I find Ace sitting helplessly on the floor. He’s not crying, he just has on a very blank expression and I can&rs
