Few days later, Liana was busy attending to the customer when Tony showed up. As soon as she saw him she bowed her head down to avoid him, he smirked and walked past her. Not long after she was done attending to the customer Lucas called her then informed her Tony wanted to see her, she frowned when she heard his name.
“Oh shit” She mumbled.
“What did you say?” Lucas asked and she shook.
She went to meet Tony. Getting to his office, he met him sitting on his chair comfortably, she scoffed and greeted, he responded. Tony looked at her smiling.
“Come here” He ordered but she refused.
He frowned and stood up, he pulled her closer to himself, they stared into each other’s eyes. After staring at themself for some minutes, Tony snapped his finder drifting her out of her review, she blinked her eyes twice then moved back. She bowed her head down and he lifted her chin up.
“Are you drooling on me?” He asked.
She scoffed and turned her head away from him. Tony smirked at her, “You must be drooling at me, are you falling for me already?”
She didn’t say anything but her answer in her mind: “Why would I fall for you brat? You are not even my spec, i just want a real love”
Tony could not read her thought and continued to stare at her, “ I guess she is already in love with me, she should better get rid of her feelings for me because she is not my spec”
“Are you in love with me?” He asked.
“No!” She turned to look at him in the face.
He didn’t want to marry but because his parents were forcing him to marry and he had no choice than to do what they asked for. He stood up and moved his mouth closer to her lips. He whispered into ear, she frowned and left his office angrily. As soon as she got downstairs, a lady and a man walked towards her.
“Hello, how may I help you?” She asked.
“Can we get a room?” The man said as he wrapped his arm on the lady’s neck.
“Sure” She replied with a nod.
She told them the room and they took one of the rooms. She watched as they went upstairs, she went to the kitchen. Getting inside she met Thomas serving dishes, she walked towards him.
“Who owns the food you’re serving?” She asked.
“Thomas, you have five minutes left to go and serve the food” A deep masculine voice accused from behind them. They turned to see Lucas standing next to them, Liana smirked seeing him. Lucas glared at them and left, as soon as he left Thomas took the food and left the kitchen. Liana rubbed her hands on her hair and she sighed out loud.
“Fuck!” She groaned in anger and frustration when her mind drifted to Tony.
Not long after, she heard some voices outside, when she got outside she met a man yelling, it was a man she served some horse ago, she glanced at him.
“I asked for chicken and waffles and you served me Macaroni salad. Is that what I asked for?” He yelled.
“I am sorry…”
“Don’t fucking apologise! I don’t need your apology, go get my orders” He insisted, glaring daggers at her.
She nodded and went inside the kitchen, she frowned as she prepared the dishes. She was preparing it when Tony entered the kitchen, she glanced at him when she saw him.
“What were you thinking? Wait…Are you thinking about me?” He asked but she ignored him.
He moved closer to her and turned her to himself, he was about to kiss her when she pushed him away, he smirked and left. Immediately Tony left, Lucas entered, he walked towards her with a frown.
“Do you want to ruin the hotel?” He frowned.
She didn’t hear what he said because she was lost in her thoughts.
“Are you deaf or something is wrong with you?” He scolded her, raising his voice at her.
“I am sorry” she finally said.
“Next time this happens, I will deduct money from your salary and that is a promise” He said and glared at her then he left.
As soon as he left, she bowed her head down and sighed. She was worried because she doesn’t want Lucas to deduct any money from her salary and the fear of losing her job too. She’d really stressed to get the job and there is no way she could get another paying job like this one. She served the food and carried the tray of food, she left the kitchen and went to the room the man was staying in. She knocked on the door as soon as she got in front of the door. She knocked twice but there was no response, she was about to knock again when the door opened, a woman was standing in front of her.
“Oh, i am sorry. I thought this…” she didn’t complete her statement when the woman collected the tray of food.
“It’s here” The woman said and she nodded.
She left.
Meanwhile on the other side, Tony was in a restaurant with Liam. They were busy chatting when a lady ran inside, she mistakenly hit her body on Tony and juice splashed on him. He stood up and fumed in anger.
“I’m…sorry” The lady muttered.
“Sorry? Why are you so stupid?” He said in anger.
“Anel, what happened?” A deep masculine voice said.
She turned back to see her boss, she immediately bowed her head down, the man turned to Tony, he was shocked to see his shirt was stained, he turned to Anel and glared at her.
“We are very sorry, sir” The man said.
“Just sorry, my shirt was stained and all you could say was just sorry” He yelled.
His tantrum attracted the attention of the other customers in the restaurant, disrupting the serenity of the place. The people began to murmur, Anel bowed her head down in embarrassment, she didn’t know what to say again so she just kept quiet.
“Tony, it’s okay” Liam said.
He glared at them and left the restaurant with Liam angrily.
Next Morning, Liana was in the kitchen preparing the dishes when Lucas came in, he informed that Tony wanna asked her to see him in his office. She groaned hearing his name, she left whatever she was doing to meet him. Getting inside his office, she met him busy with his phone, she bowed her head down standing in front of him. Tony glanced at her and rolled his eye ball.“Liana, i want us to be in a marriage contract” He said and she looked at him.“So now, he is proposing to act as his wife” She muttered as she continued to stare at him.“We would only be in the contract marriage for a few months so that i can settle everything with my parents” He said.“No, you must be joking…How can i be in a contract marriage with you” She said in disbelief and continued, “You are my boss”She looked at him for a longtime with hundreds of thoughts rushing through her mind. “How could I be in a contract marriage with this pervert? It was all so confusing. He is my boss and moreover he doesn’t love
The next morning, Liana yawned as she opened her eyes. She took her phone and gaped when she saw so many missed calls from Tony, immediately she called him back, and luckily he picked the call. He informed her to meet him at Starries hotel so he can do some shoppings for her. After she was done speaking with him, she hung up then went to the bathroom to take a bath. Some minutes later, she came out from the washroom and quickly got dressed. She was busy putting on her sneakers when her phone rang again. She decided not to pick the call since it was Rosee that called her. She took a glance at the mirror and scurried out of the room. As soon as she got outside, she flagged down a cab and got in. After a while she got to her destination and hopped out of the car, she ran into the hotel and was surprised to see Tony standing in front of her.“You are thirty minutes late” Tony muttered loudly for her hear She immediately apologised, he nodded and smiled. Liana was surprised when he smil
It’s weekend, Liana was in her room sleeping peacefully when her sister rushed in calling her name. She groaned as she forcefully opened her eyes. She yawned and got on bed then rushed her out of the room immediately she heard what she said. Getting outside she met Tony standing in front of his car, she composed herself and walked slowly towards him.“Good morning” She greeted and he responded.“Go and dress up… I want you to visit my parents today” He muttered as he stared at her.She nodded and went back inside to take her bath. After she was done bathing, she came out from the washroom and quickly got dressed. As soon as she was done, she scurried out of the room, Tony was stunned when she came out, she called him but he was lost staring at her so she moved closer to him.“Am I that pretty?” She whispered in his ear, smiling. He scoffed and looked away, he smirked as he opened the car door for her, she hopped into the car. The drive to the Mansion was so silent nobody spoke to them
Liana woke up early the next morning and looked at the clock. When she saw what time it was, she jumped out of bed and rushed into the bathroom to take a shower. After a few minutes, she emerged from the bathroom and quickly got dressed. Without stopping to look at herself in the mirror, she hurried out of the room and down the street. She spotted a cab and flagged it down, giving the driver her destination address. Some minutes later, she arrived at her destination and got out of the cab, sprinting into the hotel. She pushed open the door and hurried into the kitchen. Lucas was there already, and he nodded at her as she entered. He informed her that Tony had called for her. Liana felt her heart skip a beat, and her hands began to tremble. "What should I do?" she whispered, her voice shaking.Lucas smirked, then she left the kitchen and headed towards Tony's office. When she got there, she saw a woman sitting on Tony's lap, smirking as if she knew what was going on."Boss, you asked f
As night fell, Liana finished tidying up the kitchen and was about to leave when Tony walked in. She was taken aback to see him, knowing he would likely cause trouble again. She wished she could find a way to get out of the situation. She ignored him and turned to leave, but he grabbed her hand and pulled her back, turning her to face him."Are you ignoring me or trying to avoid me?" he smirked."Please let me go," she managed to say, but he only tightened his grip. "You're not going anywhere," he said, his voice hard. "You belong to me, and you're not leaving."Liana gasped in pain and tried to pull her hand away, but he held on even tighter. She felt a flash of anger and fear, and her heart began to race. "I never belonged to you," she said, her voice shaking. "And I won't stay here if I don't want to."Tony's eyes flashed with anger, and he slammed her against the wall, pinning her arms to her sides. "You have no choice," he said, his face inches from hers. "You're mine, and you're
Liana walked into the hotel, her steps echoing in the empty hallways as she headed towards the kitchen. Once there, she began preparing the dishes that were due to be served to guests. As the aroma of spices and sauces filled the air, Thomas entered the kitchen and greeted her with a warm smile."Hey there, Liana. Busy day, huh?" he asked, pulling on his apron as he prepared to assist her with the cooking."Yes, it's quite the day," Liana responded, not looking up from her work.Just as Thomas was about to speak, the kitchen door swung open, revealing Lucas. Both Liana and Thomas stopped what they were doing and turned to greet him."Good morning," Liana and Thomas greeted respectfully, her tone deferential.Lucas nodded in acknowledgment, but his expression was stern. "Time is money, and we don't have much of it. Liana, go and serve the customers in room 202, and you, Thomas, clear the table in room 291, the customers just left.” he commanded and they nodded. As soon as he left, Th
Liana looked down at the mess, her mind racing as the man continued to glare at her. She knew this wasn't good, and she braced herself for his reaction."Do you have any idea what a mess you've made? How am I supposed to enjoy my meal now?" the man seethed, his voice rising in volume."I'm so sorry, sir, I will get a replacement dish right away and u will make sure this area is clean as possible" Liana stammered, trying to contain her own emotions."Well, you'd better hurry up, young lady. You're costing me valuable time," the man snapped.Liana bit her lip, her cheeks burning with embarrassment. She scurried back to the kitchen, the tray still in her hands, the remnants of the macaroni and cheese now strewn across the dining room floor."Liana, what happened?" Lucas asked, with a frown.Liana tried to explain the situation to Lucas."I tripped over this kid who ran in front of me. I tried to catch the tray, but it was too late. What am I going to do? I messed up the customer's meal,
As Liana spun around to face her attacker, her heart skipped a beat as she recognized Tony's dark, brooding features. She quickly pulled away from him, apologizing profusely, but before she could escape, he grasped her hand. "You know if you leave now, you can't leave forever. Our marriage is in a month," he said, his voice low and ominous. Liana's jaw dropped. "Marriage? I thought you said we were..." she began, her voice trailing off in confusion. "My parents want us to get married” he said. Tony's revelation left Liana reeling. "But...my mother..." she began, her thoughts scattering in a million different directions. Tony shrugged, his expression cold and indifferent. "Your mother isn't my concern. My parents want this wedding, and you'll do as I say." Liana's anger surged, her voice rising with each word. "You can't just force me into this! I'm not some toy you can manipulate as you please. I'm a human being, with my own feelings and desires. Tony, his voice d
In the quiet hours of the morning, Liana dutifully cooked breakfast for her mother, patiently waiting for her to finish eating and take her medication before leaving for work. She embraced her mother, offering a final goodbye as she stepped outside the house."Take care of yourself, Mom," Liana said, squeezing her mother's hand."And you too, my darling," Ms. Victoria replied with a warm smile. As Liana made her way out, she was greeted by her sleepy younger sister, Sarah."Hey, Sarah. Don't you have a lecture today? " Liana said, noticing her sister rubbing the sleep from her eyes. "Yes, sis," Sarah responded, yawning. "You're off to work?"Liana nodded, "Yes, please take care of mom while I'm gone. Have a great day at school, okay?""You too!" Sarah called out as Liana dashed out the door.Stepping into the bustling city streets, Liana quickly hailed a cab.As the cab pulled away from her home, Liana stared out the window, lost in thought. She considered giving Tony a chance, since
At night, Liana sat with her mother, talking softly when her phone buzzed. Glancing at it, she saw a message from Tony."Come outside," the message read.Liana stood, her heart racing, and peeked out the window. Tony stood beside his car, alone, his phone in hand."What does he want now?" she wondered."Liana, what's wrong?" her mother asked, concern etching her face."Mom, I need to meet Tony downstairs," Liana replied.Ms. Victoria nodded, her expression softening. "Alright, darling, just be safe."Liana nodded, her heart still pounding as she made her way outside. As she approached Tony, she tapped his shoulder."Hey, you're here," he said, lifting her up and carrying her to his car.Liana was surprised and confused, her mind racing. "What are you doing, sir?" she asked, her voice trembling.Tony removed a stray strand of hair from her face, his expression suddenly serious."Can't I make my girlfriend… happy anymore?" Tony asked, his hand caressing her cheek.Liana's heart skipped
In the afternoon, Liana stirred from a deep sleep, groaning as she stretched. She glanced at the clock, and realized she had slept for so long. Just then, a knock at the door disturbed the quiet of her apartment. With a curious frown, she moved to answer it and was met with the unexpected sight of her mother, Ms. Black, and Rose."Mom? Why are you here? I thought you were still in the hospital." Liana asked in surprise, concern evident in her voice. Ms. Black smiled and stepped forward, her movements still slightly cautious, a remnant of her recent illness. "I'm doing much better now, darling. The doctor discharged me this afternoon. I wanted to come and tell you the news in person."Liana's eyes lit up with relief. "That's wonderful, Mom. I am so happy to hear it. How are you feeling now? Anything I can get you?" She moved aside to let them enter. Rose and Ms. Black took a seat on the sofa, and Liana's mother glanced around the apartment before turning back to her daughter."I'm
"Liana and Tony exchanged glances, then turned to their respective mothers."Mom, we have plenty of time to plan this wedding," Liana said.Tony nodded in agreement, adding, "That's right, there's no rush."Ms. Victoria and Ms. Black looked at their children before Ms. Victoria responded, "You may feel that way, but the sooner you marry, the better. You're both old enough to settle down, so it's time to start planning."Tony gave Liana a pointed smirk as he glared at her. She kept quiet, knowing that arguing with either of their mothers would be pointless."Liana, come outside. I want to talk to you," Tony said, standing up and leaving the ward.Liana followed him, aware that he was upset about the conversation they had just had. They walked to a secluded area of the hospital grounds, where Tony turned to her, his eyes blazing with anger. With a quick movement, Tony grabbed Liana by the throat and pushed her against the wall, his face contorted in rage."Do you think you and your moth
As the sun rose, Ms. Black bustled around the kitchen, preparing breakfast with the maids. Suddenly, the familiar ring of her phone pierced the air. One of the maids dutifully retrieved it, but the caller had already hung up.Ms Black furrowed her brow, she checked the missed call list, finding her husband's name glowing on the screen. She dialed him back, and to her relief, he answered right away."Hello, darling," she cooed, stepping out of the kitchen for privacy."Hello, love. I was about to call you back. I'm afraid I won't be home today, my business meetings are taking longer than expected. I'm sorry." Mr. Black replied, his voice warm and familiar. Ms. Black sighed. "That's alright, dear. I understand. But if you can wrap things up quickly, maybe you could make it back tonight?""I'll try my best," he promised. "How is our son doing? Is he up yet?""He is still in bed," she said.A flash of concern crossed Mr. Black's voice. "He should be up by now, don't you think? Go and mak
Tony was discharged from the hospital that night. As he made his way to the exit, accompanied by his mother, they were greeted by the sound of footsteps. Ms Black turned around and spotted Sarah approaching."Sarah, what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be with your sister?" she asked, her eyes fixed on her."I thought you might need some help, that is why I am here" Sarah replied. Ms. Black nodded, though her expression remained stern. Tony, who had not said a word thus far, shot Sarah a glare before climbing into the car, settling himself into the passenger seat."Go back to the ward, we are leaving," Ms. Black told Sarah, who nodded in acknowledgement and disappeared back inside. As the car pulled away from the hospital, Tony's expression darkened. He turned to his mother, rage simmering within him."I need to teach Liana a lesson," he thought, "I will make her pay for abandoning me."As the car sped along, Tony's mind worked feverishly, plotting his revenge on Liana. The drive
Liana sat outside her mother's ward, her heart heavy with guilt and sorrow. Tears streamed down her face as she blamed herself for not realizing her mother's medicine had run out. Sarah came and sat next to her, patting her back in a comforting gesture.Minutes later, Mrs Black arrived, noticing Liana's puffy eyes from all the crying. She sat down beside Liana and said reassuringly, "Liana, please don't worry. Your mom will be alright. Don't blame yourself.”As Liana looked up at Mrs Black, her voice trembled as she spoke, “But if I had been there for her, if I had noticed the medicine, maybe she wouldn’t have fallen ill.”Mrs Black gently held Liana's hand. “Liana, your mother is a strong woman. She doesn’t want you to worry about her, and that’s why she didn’t tell you about her medicine. She loves you, and wants you to focus on your life. You are not to blame for this.”Liana listened, her head bowed, and her shoulders shaking with quiet sobs. She knew Mrs Black was right, but she
Liana was stunned to see her sister with Mr. Black, she wheeled Tony's chair closer to them. In a hushed tone, she asked, "Sarah, what are you doing here?""Liana, mom collapsed after you left the house this morning,” Sarah explained in a shaky voice. “She has been admitted here."Liana’s eyes widened in shock. "What? How? I need to see her. Now!"Sarah continued, her voice breaking, "The medicines were finished. She didn’t want to trouble you and tried to hide it from you. But she has been coughing up blood, Liana.” Sarah's eyes welled up with tears, and she turned away to hide her tears.Mr. Black’s heart went out to the girls, his expression solemn. “Liana, let's ask the doctor if we can see her,” he suggested.Liana nodded as she followed Mr Black and Sarah to her mother’s ward, leaving Tony behind.Liana's heart thundered in her chest as she neared the door of her mother’s ward. Just as she reached for the door handle, a nurse appeared, stopping them in their tracks.“I’m sorry,
As the afternoon sun streamed through the hospital room window, Liana rested her head on her arm, dozing off in a chair beside Tony’s bed. Tony, however, was laying down, his fingers tapping away at his phone screen. The quiet peace of the room was broken by the sound of the door opening, and the cheerful voices of Mr. and Mrs. Black filling the air.Mrs. Black approached Tony, her gaze softening with concern, “Feeling any better, dear?”“Yes, mom… when will the doctor discharge me?” Tony asked, eager to return home.Mrs. Black smiled reassuringly, “Soon, my boy. But let’s not rush it. You need to get your strength back.” She then turned to Liana, gently shaking her awake.Liana groaned, her eyes fluttering open. “Oh! Mrs. Black, I didn’t realize you were here. I’m sorry for falling asleep,” she apologized, blushing slightly at her lack of awareness.Mrs. Black patted Liana’s shoulder, a warm smile on her face. “Don’t worry, my dear. Resting is important too. Now, both of you must be
