Playing With Fire

Liana walked into the hotel, her steps echoing in the empty hallways as she headed towards the kitchen. Once there, she began preparing the dishes that were due to be served to guests. As the aroma of spices and sauces filled the air, Thomas entered the kitchen and greeted her with a warm smile.

"Hey there, Liana. Busy day, huh?" he asked, pulling on his apron as he prepared to assist her with the cooking.

"Yes, it's quite the day," Liana responded, not looking up from her work.

Just as Thomas was about to speak, the kitchen door swung open, revealing Lucas. Both Liana and Thomas stopped what they were doing and turned to greet him.

"Good morning," Liana and Thomas greeted respectfully, her tone deferential.

Lucas nodded in acknowledgment, but his expression was stern.

"Time is money, and we don't have much of it. Liana, go and serve the customers in room 202, and you, Thomas, clear the table in room 291, the customers just left.” he commanded and they nodded.
