Chapter 159: Everyone Is Acting

It had been a whole month since the wedding, and Elaine and Aaron had finally returned. Stepping onto familiar soil once again, Elaine felt a small surge of excitement because another new journey in life was about to begin.

Luke came to pick them up at the airport. Their grandfather wanted them to return to the old estate, where a family feast had been prepared, awaiting their arrival. Since it was a family banquet, Lionel would undoubtedly be present.

Thinking about this, Aaron wrapped his arm around Elaine's shoulder and asked in a soft voice, "Are you okay with this?"

Elaine smiled and replied, "Of course!"

Aaron held her hand and said, "Let's go!"

Aaron was absolutely right; since it was a family banquet, every family member would be present. Ralph Brown was seated at the head of the table, with Trevor, Mavis, and Lionel on his left, and Vincent and Lilian on his right. Both families didn't particularly like each other.

Aaron and Elaine entered together, and Ralph Brown immediatel
