Chapter 5 - You slept with who?

Chapter 5

Kelly took a sip of the Chai tea that Dante

Came with and smiled at him. She didn't really feel like telling him what was really going on with her relationship and the relationship was non-existent, because they hadn't made it official and they weren't official but she was at a place where she knew she wanted to be in a relationship with this person that she wasn't sure if they were both in a relationship or if it was something that he wanted because in all honesty when she left the morning before she knew that being with Aiden Storm who's going to be like a dream because she knew very well that she didn't fit into his world and knowing what you know is right now about what was going on in his life if you wanted to help him but she was just reluctant to make any move because she didn't want to make the wrong move.

The morning she left she didn't even leave a note. She wanted to leave a note telling him that she had enjoyed the conversation and what had happened between them the night before but she got cold feet and ran. On the way back home she wanted to herself whether or not he would do the same thing on her wedding day that's if she was going to get married but now that she's not getting married she doesn't have to worry about running away and not marrying the person that she doesn't love you anymore she already did truly love Cody , but what she believed was relationship turned out to be a lie and she just can't get over the fact that she was duped but she has to get over the fact that the person she was going to marry or the person that wanted to marry her was not going to marry her anymore because she didn't do it for him and that was okay but at least if he was honest about the way that he felt then they wouldn't be in the situation.

Kelly also partially blame herself for a relationship failing , because she knew that anytime she had a problem with her boyfriend not coming home tonight before or an article coming up saying that he was getting comfortable with a couple of girls that she didn't approve of she ran to the one person she thought she could trust and that was I now non-existent best friend Melissa.she had learnt a lesson and she had learnt her lesson the hard way that you had learnt a lesson that if there's a problem with the person that you're with and you don't tell them directly then you end up telling someone who actually wants the person that you're with and that's what her best friend did she took everything that she told her in confidence and used it as a blueprint to get her man.

She needed a fresh start and she also needed to make sure that she is somehow tracked down the guy that you left the morning before because she wasn't the type of person to start something new and enjoy it and not want to continue it she just need to sort herself out emotionally so that she wasn't the right headspace and with everything that was going on ,she just needed to process the fact that she was betrayed firstly by the man that she thought that she loved and her best friend that she thought she trusted making home crawl back into her shell again .

On the flip side she couldn't stop thinking about Aiden. She couldn't stop thinking about how comfortable she felt around him and how he felt with him compared to how she felt when she was with her ex .It felt as if he knew how to communicate with her how to talk with her how to make her speak her mind and make her comfortable sharing how she truly felt I felt as if she had found someone that was absolute for her compared to how she felt when she first met her ex- at a show that she was covering for a competitor magazine before she was recruited to work for the magazine that just fired her. She had given a glowing review about the set that Cody had played.

Cody called her and pursued her relentlessly until she agreed to go on a date with him she was reluctant at first because she knew deep down and had got that he was more famous than she was because she was just minding her own business and doing a job until he came into her life and turned it all upside down in a good and bad way the bad was the way things had ended they ended the way that she didn't expect to have her heart broken publicly .

The good part was the way he was supportive and always there for her when she needed some encouragement , but it came at a cost…

As soon as Dante was done setting up breakfast and making sure that she was comfortable he took a seat next to her and they both started eating.

" If you were not a best friend I wouldn't tell you anything but you've been there for me when nobody was and you are here for me now so what is it that you want to know about MR Storm? "

Dante looked at Kelly and chuckled. He knew who she saw last night and if she was with last night because he had a dozen years everywhere he had hired a couple of people to keep an eye on her and make sure that she was okay and whatever she needed she got because they were friends and he didn't want to let go of her even though her boyfriend wanted her to cut everyone out he was the type to stay attached but detached at the same time so he you what was going on and then you everything but he had his reservations when he found out that her best friend's boyfriend was cheating on her .

" Everything. How is it that after you've broken up with one person that you thought was your whole world and the one person that you thought was going to ask you to marry you and be all that , mind you, including people I know ,decided to propose to someone else and leave you heartbroken."

" I bet all I had and again that I must and I'm picking up the pieces and I'm trying to be quiet about it, but I cannot be quiet about losing out on love and the game I'm talking about is this relationship getting I mean letting go of him was easy and now that I've got a start from scratch it feels as if I need to discover who I am without him because he made me give up so much."

"I didn't give up on you and neither did Braiden Storm . "

" After everything that happened yesterday I just want to take a breather and just breathe and remember what it's like to just be me and not be under the scrutiny of people who wants to know what's going on with my life and I get the feeling that it might happen but at the same time I just need to talk with the guy that I was with last night ."

" Aiden Storm ."

" The one and only . I don't know him from a bar of soap and the more I talk to him last night the more I wanted to get to know him but I want to get to know him on my terms when I'm not going through a breakup or I want to rebound I mean I don't want to have this thing where it was as if using him part of me feels as if he is a keeper because he has proven he is . "

" What I would give to be a fly on the wall when you're talking to that man because he has such a broad mind but it's a shame about what he is going through or did he tell you what he was going through because if he did then he really does like you ,and if he had opened up to you and anyway last night then you're lucky person. "

" Do you know what the funny thing about this is?"

" Enlighten me . "

" You know who I was with last night. You also know that he is looking for me and I bet he's gotten in contact with you because he's looking for me and you do business with him so what's the purpose of your visit unless you're here she just helped me get over my messed-up relationship but of course it's no longer a relationship because it's non-existent anymore which makes me single."

" That's not a bad thing and he did call me to look for you and so did your other best friend who are not mentioned right now because he messed up by not checking with you if you had broken up with that good-for-nothing loser and he is a loser because he doesn't deserve you you never deserved you so you're better off without him and I know it's gonna hurt for a little while but you'll get over him."

" I don't know I just don't I don't know how to begin again after what happened and I just walked out on a very sweet person because he was the most understanding and caring person I ever come across the more long time and he was there for me when I needed him the most and I feel like I've used him and not exactly thank him properly for what he did for me because Aiden saved me when I thought I was going to have a mental breakdown publicly."

" My daughter misses you right away but she's not with me she's with her family in the states and I think that she should stay there for a while, need I remind you; you were there for me when I thought I couldn't go through with letting her go and I had to let her go and it was the best thing I could do for her it's not that I don't talk to her but it's more or less like I feel like I'm missing a part of me. "

" You know what now that I think about it, lying to my boyfriend and telling him that I needed to extend my stay at a location that I was booked at was the best thing I could ever do . "

"He still doesn't know that you extended your trip a couple of months ago because you were with me and he doesn't know the history that we have all he did know but I didn't know how deep it went and I can't thank you enough for being there for me and also being there for me when my heart was broken by the one person that I thought I loved and she didn't love me back."

" It's her loss Cleopatra needs to figure out whether or not she wants to be with Angelo and to come think of it, you were the one who set up the whole kidnapping scene and you were the one who made her hate you because you did something so underhanded I understand why you did what you did but those two are connected in more ways than one and it's not the type of connection that I had was that good-for-nothing Rockstar."

"I wanted to enjoy breakfast with you , but just a heads up; Aiden is using every resource he can to find you . I wanted to have some time with you so it will redirect them for about a day or two and his extended his trip although he needs to go back home and sort out a couple of things he decided to stay a bit longer he's even willing to work from his cousin's Hotel until he does what he came you to do. "

" Truth be told you are more resourceful than he has and thank you for giving me at least a day or two warning before he finds me but knowing him he is going to find me anyway and he's going to want to visit my hometown which is where you are right now and why do I get the feeling that you're about to drop a bomb. "

" You know me too well. I'm just irritated that he got to you before me. "

" Rossi ? "

"You know what I miss having you around and I'm having a get-together tonight so can you please just come through and have a good time I promise you there won't be any press. "

" There's no such thing as free breakfast and he must have twisted your arm to the point where you want to see me to get out after I've just gotten back into town but I'll tell you what I will come through tonight because you asked me to and there better not be any surprises. "

" The truth was that Aden called me a couple of hours ago asking for a favor and he got me out of a very sticky situation after I lost it before you came through to come be there for me when I lost my daughter to her mother, I'm still getting over what happened and the only reason I lost was because Michelangelo made sure that I paid for doing what I did to him and Cleo."

" We all have our bad days and we all have our bad moments I'm just happy I could be there for you as a friend and at least lie to that and that I considered a boyfriend who are now to come to think of it know that he still smells of milk he'll never grow up he's got Peter Pan syndrome or maybe he'll grow up once he realizes that the girl that he is with loves the status and not the person."

Dante gave Kelly a hug from the side and she turned to give him a proper hug .

" I missed you . "

" I missed you too . "

" On a serious note . How is your heart?"

He pulled back and looked at her

" It's Black and blue and I'm still asking myself if my heart can feel again after it's been beaten up from all the punches and kicks that I've gotten from everything that has happened for the past 24 hours I'm feeling a bit numb but I think going to your " get together" is a welcome distraction. "

" I'm sorry I didn't tell you when I found out about Melissa and Cody . "

"I get that you didn't want to interfere,but a part of me is asking whether or not you did it out of selfish reasons or there was more to the story. "

He leaned over to kiss her forehead

" Feelings wise it's premature to tell you my reasoning behind why I did what I did but I'm just happy that you are no longer with that man and I'm so sorry can you ever forgive me? "

" Dante it feels as if you are keeping me in the dark . "

"Everything will become clearer in time but I just need you to believe that; I care . "

" I know . "

" Did you ever tell Cody what we did …"

" It's irrelevant now and you need to acknowledge that you did a bad thing but I'm not in the same circle as Cleo. However I do know that she has a forgiving heart but what you did was unforgivable if you had done the same to me…"

" I wouldn't, I've known you longer than I've known Cleopatra and she might have been my high school sweetheart but you've always been my friend and you've always been there for me and you for always taking care of me even when I pushed you away and you were always do you get me in ways that others don't and that's why I just couldn't let go even when Cody made you cut off some of your friends ."

She gently placed both of her palms on Dante's face because he was looking down.

"You are asking me how my heart is and to be honest with you my heart we'll recover from whatever the hell happened yesterday but I can see that you are still going through a difficult time because in the same week that Michelangelo attacked you you lost a lot of things . "

" My father wants nothing to do with me but yet you still love me when I thought I was unlovable and I will eternally be grateful for that. I'm just angry that Cody broke your heart in front of the whole world and proposed to your best friend who I hope is no longer your best friend right? "

"No. It's okay to cry . "

Dante hugged Kelly and started crying . She hugged him back and held him close .

" I should be the one comforting you but you are the one who's doing the opposite qI haven't had time to talk to anyone about what happened and even though I lost a couple of people I didn't lose you and I know how to run my business but I'm just happy that you're back."

" So am I buddy. Talk to me. "

"How do you stop feeling?"

" You can't . "

" I wish I could."

" You can't feel the good without the bad ."

" I slept with Lea . "

She took a deep breath and looked at Dante calmy .

" Aiden's ex who's now pregnant with Aiden's father's baby. "

" Yes . "

" Oh my word ."
