Chapter 6 - Water under the bridge

Chapter 6

Aiden has always been a resourceful man even though he grew up with a golden spoon in his mouth he always knew how to get things that he wanted even though he knew had access to them they had been times when he didn't have his parents and he didn't have his money to flash around and that was during boarding school when he had to learn how to be the kind of man he is today .

He wasn't always this way because you are sent to a military school where he was bullied and made fun of because of his status everyone in his family had gone through the school system, and he was the one who didn't manage to make it through so he decided to go to normal School he had ,had about as much as he could take when it came to doing things by the rules and he almost always got into trouble he only stayed a year at the military school and had a chat with his parents when he had a chat with his parents he told them that he wasn't cut out for the military school that everybody in the family went through and he wanted to go to a normal school if not a normal school and other private school or an institution where he could learn and get his education because he wasn't blending well with the other kids . After a year of negotiating with his father and he showed him the scars that he had incurred while being at the school his father understood why he was adamant about leaving the military school so after he left the military school they decided to put him in a public school but it was the worst decision they had made .

Everything has started well for him and he had good grades and he was doing every sport that was on the curriculum. Not a lot of people wanted to mess with them because of the kind of influence he had and his last name. His stint at the public school also lasted for a year reason being that he got involved with the wrong people make the wrong decisions he wanted to be popular and he wanted to be accepted into a clique, that was the most popular in school, but as luck would have it here did do the whole initiation retro and he got accepted into the fold I started gaining more popularity than the leader of the group because he had more money than him and he had more connections than him ,and when that was happening the leader of the group decided to frame him for something he didn't do.

The leader of the pack of the clique he was fast becoming popular in organized " Gym candy" also known as steroids and drugs that were banned . The other guys in the group liked him and when they tried to warn him about what was going to happen he was oblivious to the fact that it was really going to happen and he went on about his day as normal. However the leader of the pack decided to call the cops on Aiden and he was the one who took the fall for a crime he didn't commit .

There wasn't no drugs policy rule in the public school that he went to was doing so well and it was that one incident that tarnished his name and not only that it also dragged his family's name in the mud he couldn't get over what had happened to him and no matter how much she wanted to plead his innocence nobody would believe him because he had a bad reputation and he was associated with the troublemakers clique . When is that found out he sent the family lawyer to go deal with the mess that he had created and he paid the school has money to keep the whole incident quiet , he was then expelled from the school and when he arrived home from school on that day he was punished for something that he didn't do even though he plead his innocence nobody would believe him and that resulted in him going to a boarding school where nobody knew him or his family.

The third school he ended up going to was the same school as his cousin in South Africa. Braden was the only person he seemed to get along well with and rightfully so because they were like brothers. Aiden had completed his High School in South Africa and as soon as he was done he returned home to the states where he obtained his degree.

As soon as I was done eating breakfast with his cousin, he had it upstairs to his hotel room and made an important call it was a call that he needed to make because he needed a favor from a friend and that friend has always been honest with him he's never lied to him, in fact he had done business with him many times before and they had a good relationship and if he had any chance of finding the person that he wanted to find he would be the first point of reference.

He dialed the number and the phone on the other end rang;

" Rossi ? "

"Hi Dante it's me I meant to speak to you about what we discussed this morning before I went down for breakfast did you manage to speak to your friend because I know for a fact that she is your friend and you have been stalling me it didn't take awhile to figure that out because everybody has been declared and you seem to be the point of reference so there's some of the truth as to what is going on? "

"You don't waste time do you ? "

" No I don't and you know exactly who I'm looking for it's the same person that my cousin is looking for her and he hasn't caught on your bulshit so please do me a favor and don't beat around the bush because we both know that you owe me for what you did with my girlfriend without telling me the truth is that I know that you slept with my girlfriend while I was going out with her and that was before I broke up with her which is breaking bro code."

" I apologized for that."

" I know that's why I'm calling in a favor you could really use someone at your corner right now and I'd like to believe that we are good friends right and we are good friends who do business with each other but this time it's personal favor ."

" You're going to disregard the fact that I think that I might like her too aren't you ? "

" That's where the difference lies. You might think that you like her but I know for a fact that I do like her and I'm making my move and you're not going to stop me so this is what's going to happen you're going to invite me to your party today and you're not going to tell Kelly to come through. "

" I can't force her to come, she's been through a public breakup and the last thing she wants to do is go out but I already asked her today . "

" What was her answer ? "

" She told me that she would come through which gives you exactly three and a half hours to make it the side I will send you the coordinates and you can spend the night at my house we are friends after all and we've been with each other for a very long time and thank you for forgiving me for doing what I did with Lea ."

" It's water under the bridge. I also need to ask you one more thing before I decide to take a road trip with my cousin down to the coordinates that you sent me."

" I'm all ears buddy ."

" I don't want to let it slip to my cousin that I have eyes on Kelly. So what you going to do is you're going to send me all the information you have on her that you think I should know that includes her education history and what she's done before because I really do like her and it's the first time in a long time that I've spoken to somebody of the opposite sex who just gets me and I get them ."

" I understand. "

" No you don't. I kind of have abandonment issues and I don't like to be left alone I'd like to wake up next to the person that I really like and apart from the fact that she decided that it was okay to walk on me I forgave her when I woke up and found out that she had left me if it was any other woman I would have made sure that they knew I was angry but I'm not angry at her."

"She will be at my party no doubt about that and I guess that will make us even because she's my best friend and I don't want her heart to get broken and I don't want you to do the same thing that Cody did . "

" You know that I'm not that type of guy and you do know that she picked up then I get off alpha male vibes so she knows what she's dealing with . "

" She wouldn't tell me anything about your conversation last night which means that she and some level respect your privacy so I get what you mean I understand but you need to understand that if you mess up not only is your cousin going to be mad at you but I'm going to be mad at you too and we're the only friends you have that know who you really are. "

" Standard . Send me the information I asked for."

" Will do. Is there anything else that you need from me because I am done apologizing about what I did. "

" No. Thank you for being a great friend and thank you in advance for giving me the information that I asked for."

" I already sent it to you while we were speaking. "

" Thanks, see you later bud . "

Aiden hung up his phone and searched for his assistant's number. He dialed his assistant's number and he picked up on he fist ring .

" Boss , how can I help you ? "

" How far are you from South Africa? "

" I was just in Cape town enjoying my vacation but I am in South Africa so what do you need me to do and when do you need me to be where you are? "

" I need you to just draw up an advertisement and when I tell you to publish it and I will send you a word to publish it just publish it so that it gets to the right person and just tell them that they were on your emailing list and that the position they are going to apply for it suited for them . "

" Mr Storm what are you up to because he can't be creating positions for people that you don't know you're not going back home after you take off from South Africa need I remind you that you are going to the United Kingdom and it was your father that told me to make sure that you get there and you don't mess anything up because he's depending on you to do what he wants you to do and besides you told me that you needed to prove yourself to your father this is your chance so what are you doing creating a position out of the blue basically out of thin air for someone that we don't know."

"you know for an assistant you ask too many questions and if you want my friend and someone that we've trusted for a long time I would have already told you that you're fired for not doing what I asked you to do but I'm asking you to do something for me and I'm asking you to email this person the specific advertisement so that you could respond because she's qualified for it. "

"You do know that the company only hires people then and it's always been company policy but if you're outsourcing that means that you're doing something that your father hasn't done before which could be a game-changer anyway so I will draw up the advertisement what exactly am I doing up there if it was meant for and who exactly am I doing it for so that it looks professional and it doesn't look like somebody just decided to create a position for someone so that they could have them close to them because I can tell what your voice that you're not the person that you want me to create an advertisement for. "

" Must you always be so specific but I will send you the information just now and when everything is done just let me know so that I can tell you when to send what I need you to send. Are we clear? "

" Crystal clear. "

Aiden placed his phone down and took a deep breath . He knew that he was breaking many of the rules that he had set and he didn't care .
