Destiny Brought Me Closer To You

Jina's POV

"So,why do you play so hard to get when you are actually this cheap?"

My hands loosened suddenly as I heard these words coming out of Derek's mouth.

I was hugging him tightly while he was crazily kissing my neck and my ears. My whole body was burning with passion as I never felt like that before. I thought, I was having an orgasm for the very first in my virgin life...

"What...?"

I asked with astonishment after what he said in the middle of everything...

Derek held my two arms and made me stand infront of him. I still could not believe what I just heard. I could clearly see his smirk on his face as he was looking quite curiously at me, from top to bottom at my disheveled appearance.

I struggled to get my arms freed from his grip and quickly buttoned up my dress. I looked back at him with a complete disgust in my eyes.

"What did you just say?"

I asked again,my eyes burning with rage.

"Why are you doing this to me? Why have you taken me to this party? Are you playing with me? "

I screamed with utter disgust. "You a**hole!"

I threw my purse at his face and plumped on the ground while crying. I looked at him to say something,,,at least something that would explain the whole messy situation.

"Listen, I didn’t mean to hurt you...." I looked at him and saw his counfused look."Actually,,,It was a bet..."

Derek turned back and sat on the ground a little farther away from me.

"A what?" I said with a cranky voice. "Explain this to me otherwise I am gonna call the police and report you for trying to rape me!"

I screamed and threw my shoes away.

"Well,,,actually, it was a bet on you,,some of the boys think that,you are a lesbian and don't have any attraction for boys. So,they bet on you to find out if you actually can be seduced by me or not...." Derek looked at me directly at that moment. "Well, I was against it at first,,,but you made me curious too! You know, girls go crazy over me at high school,but you are different.This makes no sense,right? I mean,,I was also thinking that,may be, you don't have any interest in boys until few moments ago I found out...Girl! You were so enjoying it,weren't you?"

Derek chuckled at me. "So,why do you always play so hard to get with boys then? Anyone can have a blast with you at anytime and you’ll also enjoy it,won't you?"

I couldn’t believe what I just heard out of his mouth. That dirty scumbag!

"Sorry,I messed things up in the middle of our peak moment. So,should we start allover again?"

He tried to get closer to me as he was talking. His hands slowly reached underneath my gown to my pantyhose.

"Damn!you are so wet!"

He whispered to my ears and brought his lips closer to mine to give me a french kiss.

"Ouch! Are you crazy!"

Derek shrieked out as he quickly moved his lips away from mine.

I was laughing hysterically. I bit his lips so hard it was bleeding.

"You a**hole! Who gave you the permission to kiss me after all that? Who gave you the permission to bet on me at first? Hah? You and your dirty a**hole friends? Who do you think you are to play with me? Just get the hell out of here! Don't show me your face ever again!"

I sprinted out of the room while bursting into tears.

"I don't believe! " Yumi said with disbelief. "Yeah,Derek is a playboy, everyone knows that,,,but what he did to you,was utterly disgusting! "

She was patting me from behind while hugging me.

"I'm feeling so cheap! He said,I'm a cheap girl!"

I was sobbing so hard that I was almost hiccuping.

"No you are not! What that dirt bag said,doesn’t define your identity! "

Yumi said sharply.

"You know what's the most disgusting part is? I had a little crush on him for a while... And I'm feeling so disgusted with me right now that I want to kill myself!"

I said angrily. "There's no point. Let's go back to the dorm. I don't wanna be here anymore. "

I dragged her hands to get out.

"Yeah,you need to rest right now. And don't think too much. Everything's gonna be just fine,trust me!"

"Err,,Jina?"

Yumi was looking at me with concern as I was seating on my bed bending my knees to my chest.

"Didn't you sleep last night? It's still so early!"

She yawned loudly.

I raised my head and looked outside. It was still somewhat dark.

"I think, I need some rest..."

I said while looking at the dark.

"Yeah,you should." Yumi said.

"No,I meant,,,I need to rest for a while. I need to go back to my parents."

I said while looking at her eyes.

"Hey,,it's the middle of the semester,, are you crazy?" Yumi sprang up on her bed."You can go there at the semester break!"

"I need to focus! I need to freshen up my mind! I really need a break! At least for a week!"

I sounded desperate.

"If you are thinking about last night and are planning to escape, then it's a huge no-no from me! Girl! That Derek bullsh*t has nothing to do with your life! Come on! Forget! Nothing happened! Cheer up!"

Yumi said loudly as if it would clear away everything that happened.

"It has nothing to do with Derek... Probably a bit.. But I need at least a week off to clear my mind away from everything. I wanna heal myself being at the countryside. And, after coming back,I wanna start allover again! I wanna find my courage and confidence to start a new chapter of my life. And I'm gonna make Derek and everyone regret about what have they done to me!"

I said with a strong and confident tone.

Yumi said nothing but stared at me for a second.

"Err,,,Is that a revenge plot you are planning inside of your head?"

She started biting her lips. I knew that gesture. She always did that when she was nervous.

"I can't say!" I laughed looking at her face. "I'm gonna take the night bus tonight. I'll take a leave for a while from the cafeteria - will you fill me in this week when I'm gone? It'll be of much help!"

"Okay! Okay! I'll." Yumi said, "I coul have given you a haircut if you wanted to start afresh!"

"Ha ha ha,,,a haircut doesn’t always solve anything Yumi! Now,move away and give me a hand. There’s a lot to do today!"

Suddenly I became cheerful enough to laugh away everything. The thinking of going back to the hometown for a while already made an influence over my mood.

I was listening to my favourite song with headphone on, closing my eyes, looking outside at the darkness from the moving night bus away from everything...

I didn’t tell my parents that I was coming. They would probably freak out because it was the middle of the semester. I was gonna give them a surprise.

I closed my eyes and tried to sleep a bit. It was gonna take a while to reach my destination. I would probably reach there the next morning. I yawned and leaned my head against the bus window. I needed to rest for a bit...

"Watch out!"

I was almost half asleep when I heard a loud shrieking voice of the driver. The bus was going through a road in the middle of the woods.

"Did you see it?"

"Yeah! I saw him too!"

"What was it?"

"A man?"

"An animal?"

"Was someone hurt?"

I heard murmurs of the passengers though I had no idea what was going on. Our bus stopped suddenly and I looked at my phone. It was already 3 o clock in the morning. So,I had been asleep for about 2 and a half hour already!

"Everybody's alright?"

Our driver asked.

"Yeah."

Everyone replied vaguely.

"I'm gonna go and check outside if anybody’s hurt!"

A middle aged man with a huge moustache went out of the bus.

"Excuse me,,,miss,,what's wrong? What happened actually? "

I was curious and asked the lady seating by me.

"I'm not so sure either,,, It seemed like, a shadow,,or, was that a man or some animal ? No idea,,it just came out of nowhere infront of the bus... I'm praying no one is hurt..."

She said in a shaky voice.

"Well, I saw nothing outside. Okay, Mr. You can drive on."

The man came back and gestured to the driver.

I didn’t know why I felt like that,,but I had a feeling that someone or something was watching us from so close... Was it just me?

Was it just me that noticed a pair of glowy green eyes staring at me from the woods? Or,was it just my hallucination?

I tried to shrug off the feeling and put on my headphone again. Whatever it was,I was so far from it... Or,was I so near?
