The joy in Clara’s heart knew no bounds. However, she never mentioned to them that she was homeless.

She discovered that the manager had assumed that she had come here early and slept just to get the job.

Clara began to mingle with other colleagues and even tell them secrets to make them sell out fast.

She kept declaring that she knew that this was her destiny. This was what she was made for. This was her dream job. This was what she liked and not some sort of contract marriage. Where she would sit idle and do nothing.

All her colleagues began to like her as if she was some sort of celebrity. Everyone tried to make friends with her. Clara could only hope for better days ahead.

Elizabeth was able to come up with mini apartments. It was never her intention to surrender Annie to the authorities, just that Annie dared her to.

Watching how everyone around them had ended up, Elizabeth only hoped for a better life.

She would save part of the money and open a thrift shop or a provision store.
