Chapter 158

“Mandy, you should consider yourself lucky Clara is helping you out.” The manager finally teased before leaving. Clara had declined to rest and that would even only make him admire her more.

Because of her thoughts, Mandy didn't even hear what the manager said. Who knows how much her anger would have multiplied if she did?

She only noticed the manager smiling at her and smiled back not knowing the last thing he had said.

Clara and Mandy were the only people serving while others were resting, they were busy for like three hours, and gradually, the crowd vanished.

“Hey,”

“Hey.”

“You good?” Clara asked and Mandy nodded.

She only remembered that they were having an emotional conversation before now.

When they were done, they went back to their normal position to rest. Mandy continued to tell Clara false stories from where she stopped.

It was finally closing time and everyone was heading back to the house. As usual, they kept hailing Clara again about how she leaves last, yet comes first
