Chapter 167

As Alex stepped out, he began to call Clara’s line but she wasn't picking up.

He had called more than twenty times now and there was no answer. He knows this was too sudden and the only thing he can do is to send a message.

Maybe if she received a text from him, it would give a clue of what the call was about.

Alex composed a few messages, deeply apologizing and telling Clara how he loves and cares about her.

“Clara, your phone has been ringing for a while.” Sophia, who was bothered tried to wake Clara, but this time, she was truly asleep.

Sophia made a turn to head back to the living room, but when Clara’s phone rang again. She decided to see who it was.

“Alex?” Sophia mumbled to herself.

Curious to know more, Sophia picked up the phone and read all that Alex said, she was so touched. She tried to wake Clara one more time but she was deep asleep.

So the next time the phone rang, Sophia picked it up.

“Sweet, you need to forgive me. I will explain in person. Where are you?” Alex asked,
