LENA.

It stood at about nine feet tall, almost reaching the second strata of the canopies the trees had made. I couldn't even tell its width because it was so large, almost the size of a Godzilla. What in the moon goddess' name was this?

Its skin was made from scales, strong enough to be forged into a sharp blade and thick spikes jutted out of its spine. It had a relatively small head, compared to the large body I was seeing and its eyes were a fierce shade of yellow.

A thick, scaly tail swished from one side to the other, cutting through threes like a chainsaw. I watched in shock, laced with wonder at how sharp the tip of its tail was. Sharp enough to cut through thick tree trunks.

It roared again, the sound coming from deep within and sending leaves flying in different directions and branches bending in unnatural positions. I didn't need anyone to tell me that staying put was equivalent to saving my life.
