It had been a week since Lena left. The school building had been renovated and the attacks had lessened. Alpha Lance had marked it safe for school to begin but there were securities back on duty. Life was starting to go back to normal but a whole lot of people were missing and grieving so the school was mostly empty today.

Luke was beside me and he was talking to Dylan. The excitement that used to begin a school day had vanished and the school was scantily filled with students talking like they had to trek from the other pole to attend school here.

I also felt the same way. I felt weak, tired and frustrated at everything that had been happening.

If anyone told me this was how depressing an apocalypse was, I'd have laughed them off. There were no zombies running around. Just one demon traumatizing a Pack as powerful as this. It was ironic.
