Chapter 40 Stephan Is Alive

**Alana's POV ***

As soon as I said the words, the wolf which had been hiding immediately jumped out of the woods.

I moved backwards and stood on high alert, ready for battle.

But strangely, this wolf didn't attack me as any enemy wolf would do. Rather, he walked around me. I could tell that he was cautious, but at the same time, it doesn't look like he was going to attack me.

This made me even more curious. I don't remember seeing such a wolf before. I walked around as well, looking at it.

Though he's in his wolf form, I wasn't scared of it.

"Well aren't you going to attack me? I remember that's what others would have done. Just then, he paused and slowly moved back.

What was he trying to do now? I watched him suspiciously, and suddenly, I noticed it was shifting back into its human form. I stood dead on my tracks, watching it transform until he fully became human.
