Chapter 48 I Need You, Alana

**Alana's POV **

“Argh!” I knocked down the fifth soldier in combat. I can't believe that I could defeat them, even with weapons in their hands.

“Is that all you've got? Bring me more!” I ordered, looking at the rest of the soldiers. None of them were willing to step forward, and this surprised me a great deal because I had expected them to come at me.

“What now? Aren't you going to defeat me? I thought you all said I was only a woman without strength?”

“But that's all you are,” the soldier named Taylor said, walking up to me. I don't understand him. Ever since the first day he saw me here at the fields he seemed not to like me. I'm yet to know why he held such prejudice against me.

“What's your problem with me, why don't you tell me, Taylor?”

“Problem with you? You must be mistaken,” he said with a laugh.

"I don't have an issue. Maybe you're the one with problems, from the look of things."
