Lost in Mind

My steps stopped right at the shore of the lake, staring blankly at the few corpses of Uncle Danial's subordinates and the water that was a silent witness to the unstoppable struggle. I did leave Axe alone beside the tree, but I wasn't crazy enough to actually leave.

Or in other words, I just wanted to calm my feelings for a moment. After all, there was nothing I could do but wait for him to open his eyes.

No, it's not that I don't care. I also needed some time alone just to release the tightness that kept hitting my chest. It breaks my heart to see Axe weak like that, he's not the Axe I know at all.
