Marrissa's point of view

The morning had not even started, but somehow, I had managed to make a complete fool of myself before the day had even properly begun.

I sighed heavily, setting my coffee cup down with more force than I had intended. “God, Marrissa, you are such a big fool!” I whisper under my breath. How could I let myself get caught like that? And the defense I came up with? Utter rubbish. My inner voice was not going to let me live this one down.

It had all started when I woke up and rolled over to see Morgan lying next to me. He looked… peaceful. A total contrast to his usual self—no scowling, no sharp retorts, just a man lost in whatever dreams his subconscious conjured up. I could not help but stare. I wondered what he had been like as a boy. Was he ever sweet, ever innocent? Did someone love him before life hardened him into the insufferable person I knew now?

My thoughts drifted to my baby. I wished—hoped—he or she would take after Morgan in looks because, objectivel

Marrissa's point of view I stared at the card in my hand, the sleek black rectangle shining in the light. I could not believe it. This… this was like a ticket to luxury. To everything most people dream about. Yet, as I held it, it felt strange—too heavy for what it was supposed to be. I did not agree to marry Morgan just because of the Thornhills’ money or their status. I was not that kind of person, and I hated the thought of anyone, even Farrow or Morgan, assuming that about me. I was not someone influenced by shiny things I could not afford. “Mama raised me better than that,” I whispered.Still, a voice in my head whispered persistently, *Marrissa, this is not eljust about you. It’s for your child.*I closed my eyes for a second, trying to push down the conflict rising in my chest. As much as I wanted to be better than this, better than letting someone like Mr. Thornhill buy me, the truth was harder to ignore. My child deserved the world, and sometimes the world demanded sacrific

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    Shopping the luxury way

Marrissa's point of view It was another slow, boring morning at Morgan’s house. Staying there was becoming suffocating, it was more like a cage than a home, and that made me so restless. So, I made the decision to go to work—not because Morgan wanted me to, but simply because I could not stand wasting another day sitting in his over-decorated house. As soon as I entered the company,I saw Glow. She was strolling into the company like she was on a runway, wearing a ridiculously skimpy dress that made her look like she was advertising for something… illicit. I did not even bother acknowledging her existence. I walked past her as though she were invisible. "Typical Glow," I thought. She scoffed loudly as I passed, her attempt at getting a reaction failed woefully. I only laughed instead, quietly to myself. I was not in the mood for unnecessary drama. Not today. Still, the sight of her irritated me. "Who dresses like that on a weekday morning, to work, for that matter?" I thought, sh

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    Perfectly every arrangement

Marrissa's point of view I felt so relieved and happy the moment I stepped into the house, and realized Morgan was not back yet. I danced my way to my side of the closet, carefully placing the items I bought inside.I smiled, imagining the shock that will be on their faces when I walk in with Mr Thornhill. The very thought of Morgan or Glow finding out about my plan before then sent a shiver down my spine. They must never know. Not ever. I tucked the dress into the back of the closet, behind a row of old coats Morgan would not even glance at. Satisfied that it was safely hidden, I headed to the bathroom to freshen up. The cool water on my face felt like a reset button, but even as I stood there, one nagging question refused to leave me alone: “How on earth am I going to leave this house and attend the Governor’s party without Morgan noticing?”Morgan was not the kind of man to overlook details. He knew my schedule better than I did most days. The last thing I needed was him—or wor

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    So fucking angry

Farrow’ s point of view The morning started as a complete disaster. Nothing—and I mean nothing—was going my way. I stared at my phone, my knuckles white from gripping it too tightly, and shouted, “I said get me the dress I ordered *immediately*!” My voice shook with anger as I paced the floor. “Ma’am, we are really sorry, but the dress is no longer available. It was purchased—” “Shut the fuck up!” I screamed, cutting her off. “I do not care how you do it or where you get it from, just get me the damn dress—or trust me, you will regret it!” Before I could finish my rant, the line went dead. “What?” I hissed, staring at the screen. “Did she just hang up on me?” My chest was heavy with anger as I stomped my foot on the floor. I threw my phone onto the couch and folded my arms, glaring at nothing in particular. “The audacity,” I whispered through clenched teeth. “The fucking audacity.” I took a deep breath, but it was not helping. I was so damn angry. So many things annoyed m

Farrow’s accomplice point of view. How dare that lousy, ungrateful, insensible Farrow hang up on me? And not just hang up—no, that was not enough for her—she had the nerve to tell me to “fuck off.” Her words echoed in my head, each syllable twisting the knife of insult deeper into my chest. I threw my phone onto the table with enough force to send a jolt through the wood. For a moment, I just sat there, staring blankly at the screen, boiling in rage. My hands went to my hair, pulling through the strands as I tried to calm myself. How could she? After everything I had done for her, after everything I had sacrificed, was a single favor too much to ask? A common invitation, a simple task—and yet she made it seem like I was asking her to part the damn Red Sea.And this is the woman who claims to be high and lofty? The “most respected lady in Paris”? What a joke. “Old fool,” I whispered under my breath, the words slipping out before I could stop them. Now, I know what you are thinking. W

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    Meeting the goddess in me.

Marrissa's point of view Oh yes, guess what day it is today. You guessed right—it’s the Governor’s birthday party, and I can not even begin to describe how excited I am. It’s the event of the year, where every rich and important elite gather under one roof, dressed to kill, chatting and laughing with champagne glasses in their hand. Everyone who matters will be there, including me, of course . But, do you know that Morgan Thornhill, my so-called husband, had not called or texted me since he left town. Not even a quick “how are you?” or a courtesy beep. Nothing. I could tell you it did not bother me, but it did. A little. Okay, maybe more than a little. Still, I have decided to return the energy. Let him enjoy his time with Glow, his precious little distraction. I pushed the thought of him aside and slid out of bed, heading straight to the bathroom. Today was not about Morgan or anyone else. Today was about me. Did I tell you I booked a session at ‘Doll Society Salon’? Yes, the Do

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    The Governor's birthday party 1

Farrow's point of view I looked at myself in the mirror, carefully perfecting my lipstick and making sure every detail of my makeup was flawless. The reflection staring back at me screamed elegance and beauty, but I was not satisfied. This was not what I wanted. Normally, I would have had my makeup done by one of the best makeup artists in the city, someone who knew every contour of my face and could enhance my features with a mere flick of a brush. But today was different. By the time I called her, her schedule was completely booked, leaving me no choice but to rely on one of the maids in our household, Jane, who had only a little knowledge of makeup. Can you imagine? My maid touching my face. Awkward did not even begin to describe how it felt. I had made sure to scream at her multiple times, insulting her for every little mistake and reminding her that she was only being given this privilege because I was feeling generous. Truth be told, she was not bad. In fact, she was surpr

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    My elegant arrival

Marrissa's point of view The moment I stepped out of Mr. Thornhill's sleek black car and walked towards the entrance of the banquet hall with Mr Thornhill by my side my breath caught in my throat. I stopped in my tracks, and looked around.Could this be real? Could a place truly be this beautiful? Everything around me felt like a dream—no, not a dream, a painting, crafted by the most talented artist alive. The chandeliers, enormous and dripping with crystals, glittered like constellations. The soft, golden light they cast reflected off the marble floors, which were so polished I could almost see my own reflection. The walls were adorned with intricate gold leaf patterns, catching the light in ways that made the entire place glow. Velvet drapes hung elegantly from floor-to-ceiling windows, their deep crimson hue adding warmth to the grand space. Even the scent in the air—roses and a faint hint of something woody—felt deliberate, as though it had been chosen to complement the splendo

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    Victory at last

Farrow's point of view The night air felt colder than usual, or maybe it was just me. I stood a few steps away from the gates of Morgan’s mansion, wrapping my arms around my body. After Morgan threw me out of the mansion, his guards had stationed themselves at the gate, making sure I had no way of getting in, but I smiled, if only they knew who they were dealing with.Morgan must have thought his words and actions would break me. He thought I would run away, hide from shame and humiliation. But he didn’t know me at all.I am not the kind of woman who gave up. I am Farrow. And I am going to get everything I want, everything I deserve. Especially the Thornhill name. That name isnt just a symbol; it was name that brings security, power, and a life of luxury. A life I am meant to have.I rested a hand on my flat stomach, it is flat for now, but it would not be forever. How I intend to go about it is still a mystery to me but hat part didn’t matter yet. • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    Party continues

Morgan's point of view I sensed trouble the moment I saw Farrow walk into the hall. It was not just the way she carried herself, all poised and confident, as if she had just won some grand victory, it was the look in her eyes. A dangerous glow in her eyes told me she was up to no good. But nothing could have prepared me for the utter nonsense she spewed out next. "Pregnant," she had said, smiling like she just made a happy announcement. And just like that, everyone in the hall became confused. As for me, I almost laughed. No, I actually did laugh. A bitter, humorless sound that barely made it past my lips before anger flooded in. I would never father a child with Farrow Hudson. The very idea was disgusting. Unthinkable. Especially not now that everything is fine with me and Marrissa. But the scary thing is, even as my mind screamed that it was not possible, a whisper of doubt crawled its way into my thoughts. What if—just what if—she was telling the truth? I shook my head v

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    Thrown out

Farrow's point of view The hall suddenly fell into a suffocating silence, one that shocked me.Just some moments ago, there had been soft music playing, everyone was chattering happily, and some were even making toast, clinking their glasses gently, but now… nothing, everyone just looked sad and worried. Every eye was on me. Some wide with shock, others narrowed in disbelief, and a few whispering behind cupped hands.I felt the weight of their stares pressing down on me, but I didn’t understand why.I laughed loudly, the sound of my laughter hollow in the quiet hall. “What?” I asked, raising my hands slightly, as if the answer would materialize out of thin air. “Why is everyone looking at me like that?”No one responded. The silence dragged on.“Why is everyone sad?” I asked again, my voice rising just a little. “This is supposed to be good news, not… not whatever this is. Why are you all staring at me like I just said something awful?”Still nothing, no one responded. “Okay,” I s

Morgan's point of view I was surprised to see dad’s call early the next morning. “Good morning dad”, “Morning son, where are you?” *Am at home ”,what's up?" I asked. "There is an important project I want us to discuss now, I was you to come over this morning ”, dad said. “Can't we discuss it some other time?”, I asked. “No”, he replied immediately.“Okay, I'll be on my way, but please I need it to be brief, I promised to stay with Marrissa today”, I said before ending the phone. I sat for a moment wondering “why dad didn't wish me a happy birthday," has he forgotten about my birthday? “ I scrolled through my messages and no message came from anyone.Anyways, Marrissa gave be the most wonderful birthday gift already, one that surpasses anything anyone could give me. I smiled as my mind went back to all Marrissa said and did yesterday. I couldn't help but smile again,” I'm the luckiest of all men”, I said standing up to get ready. • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    Surprising Morgan

Marrissa's point of view I slept like a baby in Morgan's hand. My heartbeat was matching his, I felt so blessed being loved by a name like him. I woke up in the morning and looked at myself in the mirror, the necklace hanging on my neck was so beautiful, “I'm sure he spent a fortune on this”, I thought to myself. I looked at the engagement ring and smiled. “I can't wait to show it off at work”, I whispered. The buzz of my phone startled me. It was a message from Kathy. “Oh shoot !I need to get back to the mansion. It was the day before his birthday party and the decoration of his house would begin very early tomorrow. I went downstairs and saw him in the kitchen. I stood at a corner watching him cook. “It's lovely watching you cook”, I said walking towards him. “Hey darling, Good morning, " he said , pecking my check. "Hope your night was splendid?" , he asked. "Very” , I said smiling."So Morgan, I was thinking we should spend the day at home, I would ike to host you today”.

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    A surprise for my love

Morgan's point of view I suspected something was going on, the excitement surrounding Marrissa was something else. I asked her what her excitement was about, and with a smiling face she said nothing. Of course, I didn't believe her, I saw her on a number of occasions discussing with Kathy and Siri, always whispering and giggling. I asked Kathy and Siri what's going on, and they said nothing was going on. I gave up. So that afternoon, I took my phone and dialed a number. “Hello Mark”. “Hello Mr Thornhill”, he replied on the other line. “Is my baby ready for pickup”, I asked. “All set sir.” “Okay, I'll be right there”. Taking my keys, I drove to Imperial valley. “Good afternoon Mr Thornhill”, the secretary greeted, smiling seductively. “Hey Jane, how's work?”, I said, walking into Mark's office. We shook hands and I sat on a chair facing him. “Your baby is ready and I must say she is dazzling to behold”. I smiled, “I can't wait to see her”, I said. “Did you put the stuff I asked f

Marrissa's point of view The ride back home was a joyfull one. Morgan would not keep his mouth shut, he kept talking in excitement about how surprised he is.“You deserve it son,” Mr Thornhill said and I nodded. He thank me for the millionth time that evening. When we got to Morgan's mansion, Mr Thornhill took me aside and whispered something in my ears.”We need to give Morgan a surprise birthday party soon, he has a lot to celebrate. I couldn't get to sleep as my mind raced with everything I needed to do to make Morgan's birthday party a big celebration. The next day,I got to work and immediately got to the office.I made a list of everything I'll need for the occasion. Farrow's point of view I wiggled my legs in joy, holding my wine glass high.“Congratulations to us,” I said, dancing in joy.Morgan just won the WBA award and that makes us automatically richer.“Oh yeah,” I danced, watching him go up the stage to get the award.“Go baby,” I screamed. And there he was, my Morgan Thornhill, standing tall and powerful, accepting the award on behalf of Thornhill Enterprises. His suit was sharp, and his presence alone was commanding. But suddenly,my happy mood turned sour, bitter even. But it wasn’t Morgan that made my blood boil. It was a name he just called.Marrissa. What! Why the fuck does he need her on stage. Why praise her, she is a goddamn secretary, she is doing her job.I can't understand this. She stood by his side, her arm looped through his like she belonged there — like she was the one meant to stand next to him in that moment of victory. She smiled up at him, her wide and stupid mouth, like a mindless sheep just happy to be petted. I c

Marrissa's point of view Today is the big day.The day we have all been waiting for. The WBA ceremony.Of course I looked my best as usual. Okay scratch that, but I did look beautiful thanks to Morgan. We rode together as a family, I, Morgan and Mr Thornhill in one of his limousines.Morgan held my hand all through the drive and he kept stealing glances at me and anytime our eyes met he winks at me.I blushed in embarrassment, feeling like a high school girl again. We got to the venue right in time for the red carpet. The red carpet shined beneath my heels,it was like a river of scarlet that seemed to stretch endlessly ahead. Cameras flashed, reporters murmured while moving everywhere, the entire air buzzed with that familiar mix of excitement and tension. The WBA ceremony is not an ordinary award ceremony. It is an event when the most powerful companies in the industry fought not just for recognition, but for dominance. And yet, as I stepped onto the carpet, I felt every eye shift
