Morgan's point of view

“What’s this?” I asked, my tone colder now.

“It’s none of your business,” Marrissa snapped, reaching for it, but I held it out of her reach.

“Marissa,” I said, “Is this what I think it is?”

She said nothing, her eyes fixed on the floor.

"Are you trying to kill an innocent child?" I asked. I could see the tears swelling at the back of her eyes.

“Don't fall for it, Morgan," my inner mind said.

“Oh how you disgust me,” I said, my tone sharper.

She raised her eyes to look at me and I saw something flashed, anger, pain, sadness, but I didn't care.

“Satisfy my curiosity Marrissa, why would you want to hurt something as cute as a baby?” I asked, my tone softer.

“Could it be because you are involved with so many men that you are not sure who the father is?”

“Or that you enjoy your immoral lifestyle so much that you feel bearing a child would disrupt your business.....”

Marrissa didn't let my words drop before landing me a slap.

“How dare you, she fumed, you have no right to pour out such rubbish sir, you know nothing about me, nothing about my situation, so please keep your annoying assumptions to yourself,” she said, anger blazing from her eyes.

“I see the truth hurt,” I said, smirking.

“This is not over,” I said, storming out of her office. I banged my door as I went into my office.

“How dare she play the victim? How dare she pretend to be innocent? How dare she try to kill a child that could be mine?’

I hit the wall hard with my fist, thinking of what to do next.

“No..... I can not let her do this until I'm sure the child isn't mine,” I whispered, walking out of my office.

“What now?” She asked, as soon as she saw me.

I could see she had been crying, but the truth is her tears do not matter to me, not now, not ever.

I picked the bottle up again, and staring at her, I said.

“You are not allowed to hurt this child, you do not make such decisions yourself.”

“How is that even your business,” she screamed.” It is my personal life and my decision. You have no right.”

“I have as equal rights as you regarding this child, Marrissa. I would never let you hurt my child,” I said in hot anger.

She paused,” what...did you just say your child…?” she stammered.

“Oh, I see you suddenly have amnesia, or you just hit your head, and suddenly you forgot the night we spent together, right?”

“What.....so you are the stranger that took advantage of me?” she said.

“What? Take advantage of you?” I asked, laughing" Don't flatter yourself, Marrissa,

“Even if you danced naked in front of me and a billion dollars was attached to your head, I would never be with someone as filthy as you,” I replied.

I saw her flinch, her eyes turned red with anger.

“So.....what happened then? Did I rape you?” She asked.

I paused, not knowing how to reply.

“Let's just say it was Ill-fate, one I curse so much and will never repeat itself.”

Marrissa stood still.I could see that my words cut her like a knife, but she didn't break down.

“Well, the feeling is mutual, Morgan. I curse the day I had an encounter with you, but trust me, nothing in the universe will bring us together again,” she said firmly.

Now her words cut me deep.

“This baby is mine, and we don't need you…”

“It's not your call,” I said.

“I know if word about this shameful act gets out it will ruin my reputation, so this is what I'll do.”

“I will write you a check of 10 million dollars. You will leave the country, have the child but make sure not to infect him or her with any STD. When I'm ready, I'll have a DNA test and if it's my child I'll take him from you.” I said.

The room was thick with tension, the air heavy with the weight of words that had just been exchanged.

Marrissa stood in front of me, her arms crossed tightly against her chest as though she were shielding herself from my cutting remarks.

Her eyes were red, tears threatening to spill, but she held them back. I hated her tears.

Not because they weren’t real, but because they could soften anyone else. Not me. Not anymore.

“I don’t know what kind of man you think you are, Morgan,” she said, her voice trembling, “but you don’t own me. You don’t own this child.”

I scoffed, pacing back and forth, barely able to keep my anger in check.

“Ownership? Don’t twist this, Marrissa. I have a right to know. I have a right to protect my child. If there’s even a chance that baby is mine, I won’t let you destroy it.”

She laughed bitterly, a sound that chilled me more than her tears. “Protect? You think this is protection? Barging in here, throwing accusations, throwing money at me like I’m some commodity you can buy off the shelf? Let me tell you something, Morgan, you are not the hero of this story.”

“And you are?” I shot back. “Don’t act like you’re some saint, Marrissa. You’ve lived your life recklessly, carelessly, and now you want to sweep the consequences under the rug.”

“Recklessly?” she repeated, her voice rising. “You think you know me? You think you understand my choices, my struggles? You don’t! You have no idea what it’s like to live a life where every decision feels like a trap. So don’t you dare sit on your high horse and pretend you’re better than I.”

“Oh, spare me the sob story,” I said, waving her off. “You’ve always been good at playing the victim. But let me tell you something—you don’t get to decide the fate of my child without me.”

She glared at me, her hands trembling as she pointed a finger in my direction. “Your child? You don’t even know if it’s yours, Morgan! And frankly, with the way you’re acting, I would not want it to be.”

Her words stung more than I cared to admit. My jaw tightened, and for a moment, I was at a loss for how to respond. The night we spent together—it had been a mistake, a collision of poor decisions, but it wasn’t something I could erase.

And now, standing here in the wreckage of our lives, I can not tell if I was more angry at her or at myself.

“Let me make this clear,” I said, my voice low, “I don’t care how you feel about me. What matters is the child. If there’s even a sliver of a chance that it’s mine, I’ll do whatever it takes to ensure that child is born. Ten million dollars, Marrissa. Take it, leave the country, and have the baby. We’ll figure out the rest later.”

She looked at me like I had just slapped her. “Do you think I care about your money? Do you think throwing cash at me makes up for anything? You don’t want a child, Morgan. You want control.”

Her words cut deep, deeper than I was willing to admit. “And what about you?” I countered. “You’re not exactly winning any awards for selflessness here. You were ready to end this child’s life without a second thought. What does that say about you?”

Her face crumpled then, the tears finally breaking free. She wiped at them angrily, as though furious at herself for letting me see her cry. “You don’t know anything about my reasons,” she said softly, her voice barely above a whisper. “You don’t know what I’ve been through, what I’m still going through. You think this is easy for me? You think I want to be in this position?”

For a moment, I felt bad. There was something in her voice, in the way her shoulders slumped, that made me hesitate. But my anger was a roaring beast, and I couldn’t let it go. “If it’s so hard for you, why not just take the deal? Ten million dollars, Marrissa. You could start over, rebuild your life.

“You know your poor ass will never see such money again.”

She laughed bitterly again, shaking her head. “You really think money fixes everything, don’t you? That’s the problem with men like you, Morgan. You think the world revolves around your bank account. But this isn’t about money. It’s about a life—a life you barely even care about, as long as it doesn’t tarnish your precious reputation.”

I clenched my fists, the tension in the room almost unbearable. “I care more than you think,” I said through gritted teeth. “I care enough to fight for that child, even if I have to fight you to do it.”

Her eyes locked onto mine, a storm brewing within them. “You want to fight me? Fine. But let me tell you something, Morgan. If this child is born, it will grow up knowing one thing: that its mother fought tooth and nail to give it a chance at life. And you? You’ll be nothing but a footnote.”

Her words hit like a punch to the gut, but I didn’t let it show. Instead, I stood my ground, my gaze unwavering. “We’ll see about that,” I said coldly. “Because this isn’t over, Marrissa. Not by a long shot.”

I turned on my heel and stormed towards the door.

Opening the door, my heart stopped when I saw who was standing at the door.

And not just that, Tom proposed to me last month, and our wedding is at the end of the year! Oh, I'm so excited. Every pain, every effort, every sacrifice was worth it. Marissa's point of view The alarm clock rang for the millionth time, giving me a splitting headache. I got frustrated by it, grabbed it, and threw it against the wall. It shattered on impact, but I couldn't care less. I just wanted a peaceful sleep. But it seems the universe had other plans as my phone started ringing. Groaning, I stretched my hand to the nightstand and picked up my phone. I answered it without looking at the caller ID. “Hello,” I said grudgingly. “Marissa, it's Monica. You're so late. Why aren't you here by this time? Mr. Morgan has been waiting at the airport for a while now, but you're nowhere to be found. Shoot! I jolted up from the bed. The presentation. My eyes flung at the wall clock. Oh boy! I was already 10 minutes late. Not exactly late for the meeting because it was not going to start for another 2 hours, but I should have been at work by now. • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    My sweet vengeance

Morgan's point of view I strolled to the coffee maker and made myself a cup of coffee before resuming standing, looking outside the window. It was rather too late for a morning coffee, but I was too angry and needed something to calm me down.I almost froze to death at the airport. Okay, granted, I only waited for about 15 minutes before calling another driver, but that still counts; I shouldn't have to wait at all, not for anyone, especially not for my employee.I arrived in New York early to have a meeting with Farrow Russo, an Italian American supermodel. I wasn't particularly interested in her, but I tried to make Russo Industries a partner. I wanted it to be my first success as the new CEO. The Russo industries have a large audience in Italy and Spain, the two countries we're still trying to grow our audience in. Partnering with them would be hitting the jackpot. I only wanted to win Farrow over because her father kept shoving his single daughter in my face. He dotes on her.

Morgan's point of view “What the fuck just happened?” My eyes turned red with fury. “You are a fool who doesn't know how to respect women. How dare you try to molest me?” She yelled. What! I just saved her... But that still didn't excuse her behavior; how dare she?“I just saved you from those men, and I'm rewarded with a slap.” I huffed. Just when I thought my day couldn't get any worse. First, my father threatened me because of one lousy employee and now I got hit by a drunken woman I had just saved. I blamed everything on the employee. She had ruined my day from the very beginning. I hissed loudly as I thought of that. “She will definitely pay for all this, I swear.” “You know I caught my boyfriend cheating on me with a broad, handsome man." The drunken woman's voice jolted me out of my murderous thoughts. I turned to walk away. I wasn't keen on hanging around her, not after she slapped me. My head throbbed as the memories of last night resurfaced—the bar, the whiskey, a group of men trying to assault me. I didn’t remember any other thing; I held my breasts while taking away the strand of hair that covered my face. "Yes! " Then the stranger who came to my rescue. Oh God, the stranger. I tried to remember what had happened—every single moment; however, it felt like nothing brushed through my mind. "Damn!" 'I sighed in frustration, simultaneously massaging my temples. How come I couldn’t remember anything that had happened? I soliloquized. My eyes roamed around the room, but he was nowhere to be found. The bed was empty, and the sheets rumpled and tangled from our encounter.“Wait, it wasn’t like I didn’t remember; I did remember, but there was something about his face that I couldn’t catch. • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    My painful decision

Marrissa's point of view I could barely sleep throughout the night. Every time I closed my eyes, nightmares clawed their way into my mind, dark and fearful. Disturbed thoughts kept me tossing and turning, leaving me wide awake for most of the night. By the time morning came, I felt like a shell of myself. My head throbbed, the pounding headache so intense I thought it might split open. But I didn’t let it stop me. My mind was made up—there was no turning back now.Bringing a child into this world without proper planning is a sin, I told myself over and over as I got ready. The words became my mantra, my only comfort. I convinced myself that I was doing the right thing, even though something deep inside me screamed otherwise. But I ignored it. I dressed quickly, pulling my jacket tighter around me as if it could shield me from the weight of my decision. Then, I stepped out into the brisk morning air, heading to the pharmacy a few blocks away. The pharmacy was small and familiar. I

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    Definitely a second hand virgin

Morgan's point of view I leaned back in my chair, rubbing my forehead with the palm of my hand. The week had been hell, pure and simple. Every second grated on my nerves, and everyone around me seemed determined to drive me over the edge. Marrissa’s absence only made things worse. With her gone, I was forced to work with a temporary secretary who couldn’t get anything right. Every single task she handled ended up a mess. I was sick of cleaning up after her, sick of explaining things she should’ve figured out by now. But that wasn’t what bothered me the most. Marrissa had vanished without warning, and her silence burned me more than I wanted to admit. She hadn’t told me she was leaving, hadn’t given any notice. Her phone was off most of the time, and when it wasn’t, she ignored my calls. It was like she’d disappeared from the universe completely. I got up and started pacing my office, trying to shake off the frustration that had settled in my chest. The questions wouldn’t stop

Then I realized I had not eaten properly.
