"It isn't what you think!" Kathryn couldn't tell Lewis about the fake marriage. She was reminded of Jessica's concern. So, she knew she wouldn't escape being told off if Lewis found out about it.

But she couldn't not tell him either, since Lewis was making her take Chris to see him.

When she thought of all the troubles lying had brought her, Kathryn didn't dare to lie again. "We're in a fake marriage." She told him everything she'd told Jessica.
