CHAPTER 26: Meet His Mother

Killian still didn’t make me work and just let me stay at the house. He would have a business trip next week, and he would bring me with him; that was why he said that I should prioritize resting.

I didn’t protest anymore. I went outside the house and asked the maid to help me water the flowers I bought. It was a beautiful morning and I felt productive today. I also helped the maid cleaning the house, especially changing the curtains.

I should be resting but I was not used to doing nothing. I was alone in Killian’s room and cleaning it. I changed the sheets of his bed and also the curtains of the room.

Seeing everything was cleaned was making my mind at peace. The maid called for me to have a snack. I was happily eating in the yard of the house; there was a set of tables and chairs there. I noticed that there was a car entering. My forehead creased because I knew that it wasn’t Killian’s car.
