It was hell. Literally hell. Killian was giving me a hard time with my work. The works of other people were given to me making me feel frustrated. I didn’t have a choice since he was the boss and even though he was my husband, I didn’t have the power over him.

I was really tired and exhausted from all the work he had given me. I felt like I was not his secretary anymore. The reason why he was doing this? I didn’t know!

Was it because I confessed?

I let out a loud breath and closed my eyes as I leaned my head on the chair I was sitting in. I didn’t know that things would end up this way. He really wanted to get rid of this feeling I had for him, ha?

As if it was easy to unlove a person who you ever loved for the first time.

“I have somewhere else to go. Just commute for now.” It was Killian who talked. He was on my side here in the elevator.

My lips parted before I pressed them tightly and refused to say a word. I was so tired to give a damn anymore, all I wanted was to

Heart thorned. My mind was messed up. My whole being weakened. I wiped the tears that were falling from my eyes and sighed deeply. My heart felt so heavy and clenched. I looked at the families who were having their bonds here in the park while I was just sitting here with a broken soul. My lips broke into a bitter smile. They looked so happy and alive. How I wished I had that kind of family. “And what is a beautiful lady doing here?”I heard a familiar voice making me look where that voice was coming from. I saw Mr. Rossetti sitting on the bench beside me. My lips parted and my eyes widened. “What are you doing here? Are you following me?” I asked, accusing him. He squinted his eyes and stared at me. “Did you cry?” My lips parted before I avoided his gaze. “W-What? I’m not.”“He is such a jerk for making a beautiful lady cry.” He was shaking his head and chuckling like he couldn’t believe it. I pressed my lips together and didn’t say a word. I just stared at nowhere. Good thing

I woke up on a different bed. It was Killian’s bed. I didn’t realize that I fell asleep here. I looked around the room, but he wasn’t there. I immediately rose from the bed and fixed myself. I wanted to cook for Killian. I smiled to myself as I finished all the food I cooked. After changing into decent clothes, I went outside the house. Our driver drove me to the company. I was really nervous as I hurriedly went to the Killian office, and there he was, busy with his work. Good thing that woman wasn’t here anymore. “Good morning, Killian!” He raised his head and met my gaze. I smiled at him widely as I went closer to his table. He was just eyeing and waiting for my next move.“I cooked this.” I was beaming with happiness as I put the tupperware on the table. “You should have your breakfast.”“I’m not hungry.” His voice was cold and distant. He went to his work again and didn’t glance at me. I took a deep breath, even though I knew how tiring this would be. I wouldn’t give up. “But

Killian went back to his usual treatment. Cold and distant. I was really hurt and disappointed, when in fact I should get used to it. It was just that... I thought something would change after that night we shared. It was a week that passed since I hadn’t talked to him.As I entered the building, I was greeted by their unusual stare, and they were watching something on their while looking at me with... pity in their eyes. My forehead creased at what was going on. I went to Killian’s office but he wasn’t there. I called him but I got no answer. Oh, God... something was wrong. I heard my phone ringing, making me look at it, and I saw Claire calling me. I immediately answered it.“Hey, what’s up?”“Oh, God! Are you okay, Cass?” Her voice was in a hurry and full of concern. My forehead creased in confusion. “W-What? Of course, I’m fine...”“You must have seen the news.” “What? What are you talking about, Claire?” I got really curious and confused about what was happening today. I hear

Love really does make you stupid, blind, and reckless. I never thought I'd come to this, pacing back and forth in my room, my thoughts a tangled mess. It had been days since I left the hospital, and Killian was still nowhere to be found. He was never home, and it was eating away at me, making it impossible to share the news I carried inside me. Anxiety gnawed at my insides, my nerves frayed with every passing moment. I knew this stress wasn’t good for the baby, but it was like I couldn’t stop spiraling. Claire’s calls were the only thing keeping me tethered to reality, but every time she asked how I was, the truth was a bitter pill to swallow. I tried calling Killian, again and again, but he kept rejecting my calls, the silence louder than any argument we’d ever had. A knock on the door made me pause, my breath catching in my throat. “Mrs. Lannister, someone is here to see you,” a voice said from the other side. Confusion furrowed my brow as I made my way downstairs, only to f

The office had become both my sanctuary and my prison. Every morning, I walked in with the hope that today would be different—that Killian would glance up from his desk, his gaze softening. But every morning, he remained as cold and distant as ever, a wall of ice that I couldn’t seem to thaw. I couldn’t let go. The divorce papers sat untouched on my desk at home, a reminder of the inevitable, but I wasn’t ready to give up. Not on him. Not on us. So, I kept trying. I poured all my energy into every small gesture, hoping he’d see how much I still cared. Today, I had chosen his favorite lunch—pan-seared salmon, the way he liked it, with a side of roasted vegetables. My hands trembled as I packed it up, adding a note, a simple “Have a good day. I hope you like it, Killian.” Maybe he wouldn’t read it, but I had to try. I carried the lunch toward his office, the usual nervous flutter filling my chest. What if today was different? What if this small act was enough to remind him of what

When I woke, the hospital room was eerily quiet, the beeping of machines the only sound. My body felt heavy as if the weight of the world was pressing me down into the bed. I blinked, trying to make sense of where I was, but the haze of pain and confusion made it hard to focus. Slowly, the memories came rushing back—the blood, the pain, Seria’s cruel smirk. My hand instinctively went to my stomach, and that’s when I realized. The baby. I gasped, sitting up too quickly, a sharp ache shooting through me. Claire was at my side in an instant, her eyes red-rimmed, her face a mask of heartbreak. She grabbed my hand tightly, squeezing it as if trying to hold me together. “Claire,” I whispered, my voice trembling. “The baby…” Her lip quivered, and tears filled her eyes again. She looked over at the doctor, who was standing at the foot of the bed with a solemn expression. The doctor’s words came out slowly and gently, but each one cut through me like a knife. “I’m sorry. You lost the

The plane touched down in Paris, its wheels skidding lightly on the runway as Claire squeezed my hand, her eyes searching mine for some sign of hope. But I still felt numb. The ache in my chest hadn’t disappeared during the flight, and the thought of starting over in a foreign city made my head spin.“Hey,” Claire said softly as the plane taxied to a stop. “We’re here. Paris, remember? Fresh start. New beginnings.”I offered her a small smile, but it didn’t reach my eyes. The city outside was bathed in morning light, the Eiffel Tower just barely visible in the distance through the airport windows. This was supposed to be a new chapter, but all I could feel was the weight of everything I’d left behind. The baby. Killian. The home we had built together. But that was all gone now. There was no going back. The airport was bustling, a sea of people rushing by us as we gathered our luggage and made our way through customs. Claire had arranged for us to stay in a small apartment in Montmartr

I hung up the phone and stared at it, feeling the weight of their rejection settle over me. But at the same time, there was a strange sense of freedom in it. I was no longer tethered to their expectations, no longer bound by the need to please them. I had lost so much already—my baby, my marriage—and now, it seemed, my family too. But I was still standing.Claire found me sitting on the couch, my phone clenched in my hand, my face pale.“They called, didn’t they?” she asked softly, sitting beside me.I nodded, my throat tight. “Dad’s angry. Because of the divorce. Because I’ve ‘embarrassed’ them.”Claire’s expression darkened, and she reached for my hand. “Screw them. They don’t know what you’ve been through. They don’t deserve you, Cassandra.”I let out a shaky breath, feeling a rush of gratitude for Claire. She had been the only person who had stood by me through all of this, never once judging me for the decisions I had made. She had seen the pain, the loss, and still, she remained

I couldn’t shake the sense that something was off. Killian had been quieter than usual, his gaze distant even when we sat side by side. His words, when they came, felt like placeholders for thoughts he wouldn’t—or couldn’t—share. Every glance told me he was keeping something from me. I didn’t need to ask why there were men stationed outside our house, their figures half-hidden among the shadows of the trees. The last incident had rattled him. He was being careful, protective as always and I totally understand it.“Killian,” I murmured, my fingers brushing the cool surface of the window, “Can I go outside? Just for some air?”He looked up from his laptop, his eyes softening as they met mine. For a moment, his guard slipped, the edges of his face relaxing. “Alright,” he said, closing the laptop with a quiet snap.He stood from the couch, moving with the silent precision that had become his second nature. We were now lying on our bed, resting from that intense lovemaking. The warmth of Killian’s body pressed against mine was a welcome contrast to the cool breeze drifting off the ocean. His hand traced lazy circles on my back, his touch gentle and soothing in the aftermath of our passion.I closed my eyes, resting my head against his chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat. My mind felt hazy, lulled by the steady rise and fall of his breathing and the sound of the waves crashing against the shore. It was peaceful here, with him, in a way that I hadn’t felt in a long time. Like everything that had been chaotic in my life finally made sense when I was with Killian. But just as the calm began to settle deep within me, a familiar knot twisted in my stomach—a reminder of the memories I couldn’t reach, the pieces of my life that still felt so distant and broken. It was as if there were parts of me hidden behind a thick fog, moments I couldn’t quite touch, and that scared me m

Killian’s hands were rough as they slid down my bare skin, his touch igniting fires wherever he grazed. The cool sea breeze against my heated body did little to calm the flames that roared to life under his grasp. His lips never left mine, devouring me with a hunger that matched the wild beat of my heart. Before I could catch my breath, he broke the kiss, leaving me gasping as his eyes raked over my body, dark and possessive. There was an intensity in his gaze that sent a tremor through me, making me feel both vulnerable and powerful all at once. He didn’t speak, but the way his eyes burned into mine told me everything—he was going to take his time with me, here, in the open, where the only witness was the sky and the sea.I tried to catch my breath, but he gave me no time to recover. In a swift motion, he knelt before me, gripping the back of my thighs as he spread my legs. My back pressed against the cool stone behind me, but the chill was a welcome contrast to the heat radiating be

Killian stood at the stove, his back a perfect canvas of lean muscle shifting with every subtle movement. The sight alone made heat coil in my belly. He wasn’t doing anything particularly provocative—just cooking—but there was something undeniably sexy about the way he moved. After what we’d done in the bedroom, hunger for food should’ve been the only thing on my mind, yet here I was, craving him all over again.I slipped off the stool, my bare feet silent on the cool floor as I approached him. Without a word, I slid my arms around his waist, pressing myself against his warm, solid body. The scent of him, a mixture of the sea and something uniquely Killian flooded my senses. My heart gave a telling lurch, a reminder that while parts of my memory were still missing, my body recognized him. This was my husband, the man I loved, even if I couldn’t remember every moment we’d shared.Killian hummed, a low, content sound vibrating through his chest as he leaned back slightly into my embrace

Killian’s lips found the sensitive skin of my neck, leaving a trail of heat in their wake as they traveled lower. Each kiss was slow and deliberate as if he was savoring the taste of my skin. My breath hitched when his mouth dipped to the valley between my breasts. The warmth of his tongue against my skin sent a ripple of electricity through me. I couldn’t stop the soft whimper that escaped me, my back arching as if my body instinctively sought more of his touch. My toes curled, the pleasure so sharp it felt like I was experiencing it for the first time. The way he moved—every kiss, every lick—left me trembling, desperate for more.“Killian…” His name came out in a breathless moan. His lips closed around my nipple, and I gasped, a jolt of pleasure mixed with the sharp sting of his teeth grazing the sensitive flesh. Pain and pleasure blurred together, sending shockwaves through me. My fingers dug into his hair, pulling him closer as if he could drown the ache that was building inside

I woke to a heaviness weighing down every part of me like my limbs were anchored to the bed. My skin felt too tight and burning hot, and my muscles throbbed with a dull ache that wouldn't let up. A groan escaped my lips as I blinked against the harsh light spilling through the room, trying to adjust to the brightness that stabbed at my eyes. Through the haze, I saw him—Killian—moving across the room with quiet grace, his hair damp from the shower, a wet towel in hand. He hadn’t noticed I was awake yet. I tried to speak, but my throat was raw like sandpaper had scraped against it.“Killian…” The word rasped out of me, barely audible. Even my own voice sounded foreign. At the sound of his name, his head snapped in my direction, concern clouding his dark eyes. He was at my side in an instant, gently easing me back onto the pillows when I tried to sit up. “You need to rest, darling,” he murmured, his voice low and soothing, like a warm blanket wrapping around me.I nodded weakly, too ti

Even though Killian had tried to explain his reasons for bringing me here, a nagging feeling lingered in the back of my mind. I couldn’t shake the sense of being trapped, of having no control over my own life.As I walked along the shoreline, letting the cool water kiss my ankles, I noticed a small boat anchored a little ways off the beach. The soft murmur of waves and the distant cry of seagulls pulled me from sleep. The light filtering through the white curtains was warm, bathing the room in a golden glow. For a moment, I lay there, disoriented, the remnants of sleep still clinging to me.I wasn’t in the hospital anymore.Sitting up slowly, I looked around the unfamiliar room. The bed was large, covered in crisp, white sheets, and the wooden beams of the ceiling were high above me. The air was fresh, salty, with a gentle breeze rolling in from the open window. The room itself was simple yet elegant—polished wooden floors, a small seating area, and a door that likely led to a bathroom.Where am I?I swung my legs over the side of the bed, feeling the cool floor beneath my bare feet. The feeling started subtly—just a slight discomfort at first, like someone was watching me. It was easy to dismiss at first. Paris was a bustling city, after all. People were always around, rushing past on the busy streets, tourists snapping pictures, locals darting in and out of shops. But as the days wore on, the feeling intensified.Every time I left my apartment, I couldn’t shake the sensation of eyes on my back. A chill would creep down my spine, and I found myself glancing over my shoulder more than usual. There was never anyone there, of course—just the usual crowd, strangers passing by without a second glance. Yet, the unease lingered.I tried to tell myself it was just paranoia. After everything that had happened—leaving Killian, losing the baby, moving to Paris, starting a new life—it was only natural that I’d feel vulnerable. The memories of Seria’s cruel words still gnawed at me, and I was dealing with my own demons. But this was different. This wasn’t just in my head.Cla
