CHAPTER 25: Different Side of Him

I couldn’t even properly walk for days because of the rough sex we had. He let me stay in the house while he was working. Good thing Claire called that she would visit me here. I wouldn’t feel bored and lonely anymore. I already asked Killian’s permission about it and he agreed.

“It looks like you had a wild night, Cass.” Her voice was playful and full of humor. She laughed so hard as she followed me to the kitchen.

I felt the heat spread through my cheeks. I felt suddenly embarrassed at what I heard even though I should get used to it. There should be nothing to be embarrassed about because sex is normal for a couple, but of course, it should still have consent.

We decided to bake to pass the time like how we used to back in college. The countertops were a mosaic of scattered flour, vibrant bowls, and various baking tools. Claire and I stood side by side, both grinning in excitement.
