CHAPTER 21: I’m Sorry, Darling

I didn’t know but after the family reunion, Killian was avoiding me. I knew that he wasn’t a social person, but this time it was different. He totally ignored me. He never talked to me. I tried to recall what I did when I was drunk at that family reunion, but I couldn’t remember anything!

“Here’s your coffee.” I smiled at him as I put the cup on his table.

He nodded without looking at me, he was just focusing on his paperwork. I bit my lower lip and sighed deeply. It was a heavy feeling and it was really weird to feel like this for him. I told him his schedule for today before I got back to my office.

My stomach growled in hunger after hours of sitting in my chair. I stood up and went to his office to ask him for lunch. We usually eat together and he would just ask someone to buy us food.
