Minutes passed, and the ones still standing— about 10 of them and haven't attacked her yet— finally realized they had no chance. One by one, they dropped their weapons and fell to their knees, surrendering.

Nyxoria sheathed her sword back, dusting off her hands as she looked at them with a smirk.

"Smart choice," Nyxoria said. "And I wasn't even putting my all into this fight," She smirked, looking down at the kneeling Bloodfogers. "I'm proud of you all." She added. She stepped forward, her boots crunching against the dirt floor.

"Now, tell me where you’re keeping the hostages—or should I force it out of you?"

The Bloodfogers didn’t waste a second. They scrambled to their feet and gestured for her to follow.

Nyxoria did, keeping a cautious eye on them as they led her deeper into the cave. The further they went, the worse the smell became—a putrid mix of blood, decay, and something else she couldn’t quite place.
