❤️ The King's Anger (2) ❤️

"We didn't act quick enough. I'm sorry I disappointed you, Oberon," Vyr muttered, his voice low and full of regret.

King Oberon let out a loud snort. He shoved Vyr aside like he was nothing, moving over to the reading table in the chamber. He sat down casually, crossing one leg over the other, his gaze sharp and cold.

"I gave you this throne you sit on," Oberon hissed, his tone laced with venom. "And all I asked in return was Nyxoria. Don’t forget that with just a snap of my fingers, I can take everything away from you."

"I know," Vyr whispered, lowering his head, feeling the weight of Oberon's power pressing down on him. "I can't disobey you, Oberon. Everything I am today is because of you. I would never betray your trust."

Vyr swallowed hard, trying to explain himself once again. "I wasn’t expecting Tharros to take her to his castle today. I thought before he made his move, you would’ve had time to make yours. He took me by surprise and I am very sorry."

❤️ Nyxoria's Game ❤️Nyxoria saw herself walking towards a mountain, her legs moving on their own like they knew exactly where to go. She didn’t feel tired or in pain, which was odd considering what had happened. But what made her chest tighten with anger was the reminder that Tharros had defeated her. She clenched her fists. She hated the thought of losing, and she wasn’t ready to accept defeat, not to him or to anyone else.As she got to the top of the mountain, she saw someone standing there. As she moved closer, she realized it was a woman facing her, it was as if the woman was expecting her. Her face was hidden behind a black veil, and her long, light brown hair fell all the way to the ground, swaying gently with the wind.Nyxoria stopped a few feet away, her eyes narrowing.“Who are you?” she asked, her voice firm."Who I am is not important but just so you know, I am not your enemy."Nyxoria raised a brow, crossing her arms. “Really? If you’re not my enemy, then why are you hid

His heart was racing, something he hadn’t felt in a long time.“Please tell me you’re messing with me,” he said, his voice low, almost pleading. He climbed onto the bed, cupping her face gently with both hands. His thumbs brushed her cheeks. “I didn’t hit you that hard, I know I didn’t, right?” He was trying to convince himself more than her.Nyxoria opened her mouth to speak once again and when no words came out she frowned, looking frustrated, and pushed his hands off her face roughly. Before he could react, her fist landed hard on his shoulder, very hard. It was a real hit, and strong enough to knock Tharros off balance. He stumbled, losing his footing, and fell off the bed with a heavy thud.He rubbed his shoulder as he looked at her in surprise.Nyxoria got down from the bed and was looking around the room like she was trying to figure out where she was."You’re in my chamber, in my castle,” Tharros said, standin

His lips stretched into a grin, and that annoyed her even more. She glared at him, but he was already writing on the parchment. He handed it over to her."Your stomach just growls, which means we are both hungry. Where do you want to eat? Here?"Nyxoria snatched the quill from his hand, her face scrunching up in irritation. She quickly wrote back and shoved the parchment toward him in anger.“I’m not eating here or with you. In fact anywhere that doesn’t have you is fine.”Tharros read it, chuckled, and shook his head. She opened the second door and found it was a bathroom.Sighing in relief, she went in, undressed, and took a quick bath using Tharros’s soap.
