Max ran his finger down her face as she looked up to him. “Yes.” He said softly. “Loni and her husband went to the hospital and got to spend some time with the boys. They wanted to know what was going to be needed for the two of them so they could set up the rooms for them. Deanna they will get all the love and attention they could ever need there. This is the best gift you could give to four people. Loni wanted you to know that she expects not wants you to be a part of the boys lives. You are their aunt and now cousin by marriage.”
“Not another relation.” Deanna said. “I am just their aunt slash sister.”
“Deanna everyone understands why you let go of them. It wasn’t because you didn’t love them or want them. It was that you wanted the best for them.” Max said as he gave her a squee
The next day began as a complete blur of activity for both Max and Deanna. The start of it was the company that she had hired to open the letters wanted them to come and pick up the money. It was reaching into hundreds of thousands of dollars at that point and they didn’t want it at the building any longer. Deanna called and would have an armored truck come transport it to the bank sometime today. That was an easy fix for everyone involved. They made it to the lawyers and Deanna went in to get the keys for the house. She was in there for a little longer than she had hoped as they needed to go over a few more things about the case against David. He had gone radio silent while he was in the hospital. They were afraid he was trying to figure out how to break out though the police were not going to let that happen. He was the mos
Deanna sat back and waited for Max to say something or do something but instead he was lost in his own thoughts. He seemed to be taking this harder than she was. I understand that might be hard to hear but honestly it really is.” Kit said. “I had such a hard time accepting it when Randy used the bomb at the courthouse. It had been one year since Max and Deanna Anderson found out about the death of David Watson which marked the ending of the saga of the Watson’s and the drama of the insanity that the family had caused. It was almost fitting that they were back at the Watson family house opening it to the public on the anniversary of his death. All of the kids were around them as they gave the first tour of the house. She was getting better for herself as she talked about it more and more. Though Max was still a professor for the police academies he had slowed down his work schedule to help her out more around the house. The six children they had took nearly all of her time as she helped guide the

Deanna Anderson stood in the front hallway of the house she shared with her husband of six months, waiting for him to come home from teaching at the local police academy. She was looking at the portrait of their wedding day that he had selected from the hundreds of photos that his cousin and her new company had taken. They had four albums from the day. Every one of the pictures was something special to the both of them. They had enjoyed the day for the new beginning in their life together as man and wife.It was a moment of peace in the house as the triplets and baby were taking their naps, and Deanna could have a moment to herself. It was a rare thing for her during the day. She looked at the photo next to it as well. It was the one taken on the day she had graduated from college, which was five months ago. There were two photos in that frame. One was just her, and the other was that of her with the family t
After dinner, Max and Deanna watched Tv while the four children played in the area they had made for them to play. It was just a corner of the room, but it held all the toys for the two older girls and Henry. Michelle sat in her bouncy car and would jump and get mad at the others if they took her plastic teething keys. They were her favorite thing to chew on and often her go-to thing to throw at her parents when they displeased her too much by not hurrying with her bottle.Michelle was the one of the four who had a temper. At least as an infant, she still had one when someone displeased her. Often the only thing that would get her out of one of her moods was either a bottle or Max talking to her. She would smile at him with her toothless grin, and her whole face would light up when he spoke to her and told her about the elves she must have come f
Deanna knew that over the next few days, things would be busy as the case was headed for trial in the next two weeks. Though it seemed like forever at some points, she knew it would fly by. No one that was involved with the case wanted to put any added stress on her. Not only because she was very pregnant or the fact her husband was one of their own, but it also was the young woman who was always front and center in helping to build the case was the shining star they all needed. She had helped at every turn without thought to herself or her own mental state. Though Deanna answered all the questions and anything that was asked of her, there was a block on some of the time she had lived in the house. It always seemed like it was right there, but she just couldn’t remember too much from her childhood. There was nothing that could be said about her family other than every one

The next day they were getting the boxes ready for the first wave of things to be moved to the new house. Everything was set and they would be meeting in the morning with the lawyers who would have already bought the houses that were side by side. Deanna had thought about giving it to Mitsuhide and Kit well before she actually said it to Max. He knew that Mitsuhide would have his own issues with it but in the end he would accept it and they would have new neighbors. The thought of having a friend that close by was a god send to both men for the what if situations they knew they could run into with having so many little ones around. It would be good to have them close for that but also they would have each others back. Max still worried about David’s fans running about and that one of them could try to get to Deanna. Having Mitsuhide next door with his talents with a gun would be mind easing for h
The couples settled into a nice rest of the day with no talk of the craziness of the families they came from. They all tended to the children that were playing in the yard or taking a nap somewhere on the patio or inside. Life for one day was good as Deanna sat back and thought of everything that she should be doing. Instead she was enjoying talking to the couple and learning more about them. She was for the first time really starting to enjoy herself and she knew she was feeling better because of the mindset she was in. That was when she knew she could really just be herself with them and they would not judge her even on a bad day.Max was watching closely as his wife was sitting there and her mask was coming off more and more. He loved to see her this way. It was the person
Max and Mitsuhide were outside watching over most of the kids. The youngest set of twins were still inside. Mitsuhide was watching Max closely. “So how bad was it?”“What?” Max asked surprised he looked at his friend.“”When she woke up. I know you said she glossed over it but.” Mitsuhide said. He knew how bad everything had really been that day. Though he understood why Max had to get the answers that way no one thought it would affect Deanna like it had. The reaction she had to try and leave wasn’t something he or Max could have seen coming. Nor was the one that she was in labor. Even after watching his own wife go into labor he didn’t see any of the signs in Deanna.
