Chapter Fifty Six

Enemies:

The world was quiet, soundless. The noise inside his head was loud, screaming at him. He was restless, his thoughts relentless. What was taking James so long? Why hasn't he got his plans together? One question spun over into another. Jonah found himself pacing the length of his bedroom. The floor not even making a creak as he wore away its hardwood surface. It was the middle of the night and he couldn't sleep. He ran his fingers through his blond hair frustrated.

Arkyn gathering was one day away and James had yet to make moves. Jonah doubted Stonewall was really with James, they have been on the fence since James had someone from his pack first approach them and he knew this simply by having his own investigation. James on the other hand thought for sure they were with him. Jonah didn't bother to burst his bubble. He neededJames to think he was invincible. He needed him to keep the same energy and attitude he had. He had never seen war or death. He was young and naive.
