Chapter 4

Whether it's luck nor fate, this situation is an opportunity. Despite it's not rightfully belong to me, I must accept it fully!

“I can write my name here,” I said and reveal the excitement. The admission here isn't such complicated, and as long as you have the paper sealed, you are the rightful owner of it. But the doubt appear just an instant, I thought, “This paper not yet stained by the named Willyeah, so I can still stain it with my name. Is it really possible?”

The black figure is long gone somewhere, and said to have the headache for a sudden. It's such a suspicious in itself but I don't get a damn and be thankful for the opportunity that this person brought upon.

The admission in my hand is a first step for power!

I waited for quite a time, and making sure nothing is out of ordinary before I bite my finger and paint the admission slip with my name. The black figure sure resting already, and the pub so silence and so wide for only housing myself this very moment.

There's a room right at the end of the golden stairs, and the black figure go there and disappear. I am curious for unknown reason, however the opportunity in my hand is stealing my attention from it. Before I thought of immerse deeply to curiousity, I left the pub with unsighty expression.

The quite a shadow of darkness is yet to disperse as I open the door of the pub. Or perhaps there's no end to the darkness, only the barely light slowly surround the pack unlike before I force to enter the pub.

“Whatever,” I sigh to my heart and force a smile. “The curiousity can wait, however the opportunity would never. I must do this as soon as possible!”

The admission gives me the exact location of the academy, and it lead me to the decision of reaching the academy asap. It can be said I have no other choice than get myself there and stay away from any suspicion if ever have here at the silence of the night. The guard of a mate still came to mind now and then, which the other reason I push to stood up and get my ass away from this border!

“There's no use of thinking what's already happens. I must as well push forward and achieve what's fated for me,” I clasped my hands tightly as I murmured the words. The coldness of the air slowly blow and surround me, to shiver me. However, it accompanied by the warm I can't still figured out what the cause of.

Since the moment I enter the pub, the unnatural become natural. Afterall, this place is beyond ordinary, so I must expect the unexpected. There's no way for a civilian like myself to walk alone and strolling around without a reason!

“This admission is enough reason, right?” I doubted it and cautiosly scan for a possible hindrance. It possible that some guard might stop me anytime, and the academy is not yet came to view for a careless journey if ever!

With that in thought, I head the smallest mountain with cautious and more determine. Walking this path, the academy must reach after reaching the two summit. The smallest mountain is not that hard to cross, however it filled with trap all over the place.

“I wonder how that black figure do it so fast?” I instantly regretted the thought that came to mind. That black figure is no way of weak and I'm suppose not to compare myself to it, yet here I am and feel so small to ever compare.

Not only the admission is filled with info and with a warning to the possibility of trap in the mountains. However, this only prove how I so behind from this world of shifters. I barely even shift!

“As long as you protect your heart...” Dad always reminds me that it's no wrong to have not yet shift, but the important is for my heart to withstand every misery and pain.

I can only sigh and continue being cautious. Dad is a family, of course he would tell those words without blinking. He either serious or what, dad knows how to hide his deep emotions. He's hard to read, and that is what power really is.

The summit of a small mountain is the ground of the biggest mountain that I must cross to reach the academy. To think it literally, the two mountain is connected to each other. But there's more possibility other than that simplicity.

“It says here that crossing the secluded area is harder than expected, and no one in its right mind will do it to reach the academy?” I almost fall to my knees when the information is barely skim by my cautious of an eyes. I already made this far to only realize it!

Somehow, the black figure darkly voice came to mind, “Ponder the info therein, and I hope you learn your lesson the last time. Don't be rash, alright?” The black figure reveal a softest expression, and the darkened face just slightly reveal an innocent light.

But I'm so immerse to the opportunity to even recall everything, and his words didn't much gives a hint of my predicament.

Until this moment!

Just as I recalled the words, the ear piercing cry rung my ears and boil my blood into chaos. I look cautiously as ever while panting harder. The way the cry pierce through my ears, I felt the dread slowly rosing inside me, as if the cry is everywhere and I can't even certain to that very means!

“No way...” I clasped my hands tightly, barely reminded by something. The cry is no way of dread itself, but a warning for some unknown that is living undetected in the mountain!

Naturally, this is expected by dad, and he has been teach me almost all the ferocious being that is deadly in the mountain. That include the unknown and neverseen!

I shook my head bitterly when nothing is produce for my mere mind to hold. I roared, “Dad sure expected it, but I'm not!” I shut my eyes tightly, and feeling the surrounding. I do everything to calm myself, breathe in and out as I murmur softly, “However, I believe the learning is within me. Though I forgot the exact words and step dad said long time ago, I can definitely survive by extinct...”

But before I even open my eyes to reveal the determination, the cry shook the mountain, and the sound of a clashing boulders rashing down from the summit is loudly hear and tremble the land as if to crumbled.

I feel like the world spun to no end, and my heart shook the same as I look up and meet the deeaded of sight!

The trees from the summit down to where I stood is bowed down in a flash and destroyed altogether to creates a one single line. I barely dodg the pressure that is approaching, and the boulder is getting my heart heavy for the sight of it nearing in a flash!

I smashed by the branches of the trees while I try to dodge. The arrival of a flash of dreaded sight cause blood to paint my white dress. I was hit to the hard rock, yet I don't think I am severely wounded!

Before I clear my mind to what is the stain is, I'm instantly soak in dirt that cover the redness in it!

I move so slow and the boulder so fast to invade, giving way to rise the dread in my heart. Yet, the way the situation is develop, the pure color of white of my dress soak to redness, and then to a dirt!

This isn't the first time I feel so weak and so lacking of senses! However, this is the first time I let myself fall to the dirt, and fail to realize whether I wounded or what. I look down everything below me, atleast the lowly existence of ordinary. But this time, the dirt is cover the red stain, and somehow I feel like nothing is severly damage and I'm just tainted by dirt all over!

“Am I just seeing things?” I touch every part of me while still on the ground, feeling the hardness of the earth.

The cry is gone and the boulder boom to the foot of the mountain. I even seem to hear a splash after the boom, and the water submerge everywhere.

I thought it's nothing, until the entire mountain soak in water the instant I look up. Whether a rainfall or cause by the boulder down below to smash to the body of water, I'm not certain.

And I can only gulped while slowly lifted my head to peak through the bottom of the line that is done by the ravaging boulder. And my eyes widened to ever notice the unbelieving!

There down below the small mountain... is the pool of blood that slowly rising!
