I walked into the spacious room holding hands with Mira who was frightened to be alone.
I looked at the man who was sitting behind the desk. He was the same guy I had fought with when we first attacked the Redmoon pack. Was he the Alpha? He was younger than expected, I was hoping to see someone older, someone who looked like the man who killed my father but he was different. The man standing in front of me was breathtakingly gorgeous. He had a very angelic face that felt so unreal almost as if he was incapable of doing any harm and his body was finely built. He caught me staring and I coughed which planted a tiny smile on his face.“ Alpha Troy Hunter, I suppose,” I said.“Correct, and you must be Blue Winter, the Alpha of Moonlight pack,” he replied.I nodded slightly. His eyes noticed Mira and he looked at her in shock then at me.“ I did not know you had a child.” He said genuinely taken aback.“I don't. Would that have made any difference,” I asked irritated.“No,” He seemed relieved by my answer.“Why am I here?”“ Straight to the point, I see. I can appreciate that,” he said leaning back on his chair, his stares never leaving us. “ You committed a crime against my pack, you dared to attack us,”“And I don't regret it,” I snarled.“ I see, that is why I am going to hold you all as prisoners. But since I'm so kind……..”“Kind” I hissed “If the definition of kind is you, the world is in for a lot of trouble”He ignored my statement and continued “I'm willing to release your pack members, as a gesture of my goodwill”“And what do you want in return?” I asked skeptical.Troy's shoulders straightened, his gaze unwavering. “I want you to stay. To stay here with us,”“Why? Of what use am I to you?” I questioned.“ You will find out soon enough.” He answered firmly. The idea of staying with a pack I had sworn to hate was a bitter pill to swallow. I looked down at the little girl and I knew what I must do, she was safer at home with her mom than here.“ If you release my people and keep to your word, I will stay,” I answered.“ Then, it is a deal,” he cheeredExiting the room, I found Alex and the others cleaned up and dressed in new clothes.“Blue, you are back,” Alex greeted, hugging me and placing a soft kiss on my cheek.“How are you feeling?” I asked, hugging him back. It was a relief to see he was recovering well.“I'm okay,” he replied, releasing me.“What happened in there, Alpha Blue?” one of the men inquired.“Yeah, something feels off,” Alex added. “Alpha Troy released everyone, cleaned us up, and even fed us.”“ He said he had no intention of holding us captive any longer and I wonder why?” the other man added.“I’m staying behind,” I said, answering their curiosity."He released everyone except you, Why?" Alex asked, his face suddenly burning with anger.I met Alex's gaze briefly. "I offered myself in exchange for your freedom."“Then I'm staying with you,” Alex asserted.“No, you will go with the rest of the pack.”“No, you are going with the rest of the pack.”“ You can’t keep treating me like this, I’m going to stay with you, who knows what these people are capable of doing to you,” Alex said.I gently cupped Alex's face with both hands and looked into his eyes softly. “I need you by my pack's side. You will be my eyes and ears, Alex. You are the only one I can truly rely on.”“ What if something bad happens to you?” he complained.“I won't let my guard down, this could be the perfect chance for us. Having me here will help me understand their strengths and weaknesses. So, when we attack again, we will have a better chance of winning”He wrapped his arms around me in a protective embrace. “I just don't want any harm to come your way,” he murmured.“ I will be fine,” I assured him.“ Are you all done with sympathy?” Troy said, irritated as he walked into the room. His demeanor had changed, he was burning with anger. I barely had time to wonder why.“ They will be leaving soon, I want you to make sure that everyone arrives safely back home and make sure Mira here is united with her mother.” I pointed to the little girl.“We will take care of that,” Troy replied.“Alpha Troy,” Alex spoke up, “I have something to discuss with you.”“Go on.”Alex stepped forward. “I want to meet with Blue twice a month to make sure she is okay.”Troy's fists clenched, his anger barely contained.“I insist,” I added.Troy's brows furrowed, and after a moment's hesitation, he agreed, “Once a month.”“And if anything happens to Blue, I won't hesitate to take action,” Alex warned.Troy's eyes darkened, and in a swift move, he closed the gap between them. His hand wrapped around Alex's throat, pinning him against the wall.“Don't test me. You, humans seem to forget your place,” Troy's voice was dangerously low.“That's enough,” I stated firmly, my gaze shifting between them. “Alpha Troy, you promised that you will keep them safe. Remember that.”Troy's jaw clenched and his grip on his neck eased slowly, Alex’s eyes bore into Troy's, his challenge still clear. As the tense moment passed, I turned away, my attention directed towards the window. I watched as the carriage carrying my pack members gradually disappeared from view. Suddenly, a young lady approached me with a soft smile.“ I have been assigned to show you to your room”“Thank you,” I responded,“I am Mary,” she introduced herself “ The beta's mate."I offered a polite smile. “It's nice to meet you, I'm Blue.”“If you don't mind me asking, Is your natural hair color blue?”I shrugged “Yes, it is”A slow smile curved her mouth “Wow, I like your hair.”“Thank you, Mary.”“This is your room,” she said as she opened the door.A large, finely carved wooden bed stood at the center of the room, dressed in luxurious linens that matched the gold and peach walls with a large window framed by heavy curtains allowing the streams of daylight.Mary concluded, "If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask." With those words, she departed, leaving me in the privacy of my new room.I stretched under the soft covers when I got startled by a figure standing in front of my bed. My heart raced as I quickly sat up, and there he was. “Alpha Troy,” I said as I managed to compose myself, my heart still racing. He offered a faint smile. "Good morning, Blue."“What the actual fuck.” I cursed. “Is this how you welcome people here? Walking into their room without any warning?”“You were sleeping so peacefully, I did not want to disturb you.” “ Then you should have waited outside this room.” I frowned. He nodded at the possibility “Yes, I suppose I could have. But I thought you looked too adorable, sleeping with your mouth open and drooling.”“You are unbelievable,” I muttered, feeling a flush of color rise to my cheeks.“ So why are you here?" I asked. “ I wanted to talk to you personally before I leave for my duties.” “ About what?”“ Well since you will be staying with us for the time being, I want to make sure you are properly settled in, there is no point in treatin
I readied myself for my first day working with Alpha Troy Hunter. Although the situation that brought me here was not ideal, I was determined to use this opportunity to gain insights into the Redmoon Pack.I arrived at the designated location, and just as I expected, Troy was waiting for me. He greeted me with a nod. "Morning, Blue.""Good morning, Troy," I responded. He informed me that today's plan involved a tour of the pack's training area. As we strolled along, I could not help but notice the training grounds were conveniently close to his house. The training area was even more impressive than I had anticipated. It stretched widely and was well-equipped with various obstacles, weights, and training dummies. Sounds of effort, grunts, and the occasional clang of weights hitting the ground filled the air.As we entered the training room, my eyes widened at the sight before me. Hefty men, each one of them looking like they could lift a building, were engaged in various training act
TROY’S POV.Since the day Blue joined my pack, I have felt a lot happier, but I can not shake off my concerns. Seeing as Blue does not know I am her mate. Sometimes, I am itching to tell her, but deep down, I know that is a terrible idea. Our first meeting was not exactly friendly, and I did keep her here against her will. But was that a bad idea? It was the only way I could think of to keep her close. When I saw her hugging and being all affectionate with that human, Alex. It stirred up this feeling of jealousy in me. I have heard the rumors that they might be dating and it looks like it might be true. The thought of them together was making me angry. It took everything in my power not to get rid of him that day, but that would put me in a bad position and Blue would hate me forever and the last thing I needed after searching for my mate for a long time was to get rejected. It was not just the hug, it was the way he looked at her like they shared a secret world I could never be a par
Troy and I found ourselves in the training area again, but this time, it was different. He had called me here for our first joint training session. As we stood facing each other, the warmth in his eyes was hard to miss."Today, we will work on your combat skills," he announced.Following his guidance, I settled into a defensive stance. His eyes lingered on me, studying every motion. His first punch came swiftly; I managed to block it, though his speed caught me off guard. The session continued, with Troy patiently leading me through various techniques.“ You are too tense, you need to relax,” he said as he walked towards my direction. As Troy came closer to me, I could feel the air change around us. His steps were slow and precise, and I sensed his attention fixed on me. My heartbeat quickened, and it became hard for me to catch my breath. Everything seemed to move in slow motion as he stopped right in front of me.Standing there, Troy's hand gently rested on my shoulder. His touch sen
As the sun went down, I stood in front of my mirror, thinking about how I looked for the pack's yearly festival. I took a deep breath and came out of my room. The place was full of energy, with the smell of food and the sounds of people having fun. I looked around and saw Troy with some pack members. He noticed me looking at him, smiled, and walked toward me. Even though I was annoyed with him, I still felt nervous and happy."Blue, you look stunning," he said"Thanks," I replied, my tone guarded.“Shall we?" he asked, extending his arm for me to take.I placed my hand on his arm as he guided me around the venue, showing me the different attractions.Suddenly, a young boy around six years old rushed toward us, excitedly exclaiming, "Alpha Troy, look at what I made!"“Look, I drew a picture of you because you are my favorite person in the whole wide world,” he announced proudly. He proudly displayed a crudely drawn picture of Troy, which was barely recognizable. I struggled to suppres
“Hey, Blue, what are you doing here?" Mary's voice sliced through the air as she swung the door open, her unsteady steps causing her to stumble backward. It was clear she was intoxicated.I glanced up, attempting to mask my surprise. "Uhmm… Nothing much," I stammered, my fingers fumbling with the scattered files. Her giggles danced through the room, laced with a teasing edge. “What are you up to, you sneaky little bitch” she taunted, her hand poking at my cheek."You are drunk. Let's get out of here," I suggested, struggling to regain my composure while arranging the last few files."Nah, not really," she replied in a sing-song manner, her words wavering with her intoxicated state."Why did you come here?" I asked, steadying her with my hands, my heart racing as I prayed to the moon goddess that we should not get caught."I saw you leaving the party. I called your name, but you did not answer. So, I followed you here," she whispered quietly and then giggled.Shit, I thought to myself,
ALEX POV.Today I was finally going to meet the girl of my dreams. She does not know this but ever since as a little child, I have always had a crush on Blue. She was the prettiest girl I have ever laid eyes on. I had never met anyone with natural blue hair till I meant Blue and I was completely struck. One vivid memory from my childhood that has always stuck with me was when Alpha Winter took me in as a child, I was constantly bullied by the other kids because I was human while they were powerful werewolves. I remember one day when I was being kicked and beaten by a group of kids my age. Blue stepped in, scolded them, and threatened them, telling them to run away and never touch me again unless she will see he to it that they were greatly punished. She knelt beside me, and I can still recall the first words she said, "Are you okay?" This was the closest we had ever been. Before that moment, she barely acknowledged my existence, and I had thought she despised me but I was wrong. She
I heard a knock at my door."Come in," I replied, and to my surprise, it was Mary. I had not seen her since that night when she had a bit too much to drink."Hey there, I have not seen you in a while, so I thought I should check up on you," she said cheerfully.I yawned and stretched on my bed, feeling quite sleepy. “I'm really tired. Can you give me a few minutes to rest?" I said as I dragged the duvet to cover the rest of my body. "Blue, it's way past noon; I can not do that," she replied, pulling the covers off me.I pleaded, "Please, I'm feeling really tired."She gave me a puppy-dog look and said, "I wish I could leave you to rest, but I have no one else to hang out with, so I need you."Suddenly, a cute little boy rushed into my room."Mommy, Mommy, can I have one of the cupcakes now?" he asked with excitement.Mary smiled at him, her voice gentle. "Not yet, sweetheart, but soon." The little boy pouted and then ran off to play, his disappointment clear on his face.Mary turned
Chapter 138 – Blue’s POVThe world outside felt eerily calm as we prepared to set out. Emily’s sobs echoed in my mind as I stood by the window, staring into the night. It was the calm before the storm—a silence that weighed heavily on all of us.Troy’s presence beside me was steadying. He placed a hand on my shoulder, his grip firm and reassuring. “We’ll get him back, Blue. We’ll bring Nathan home.”I nodded, steeling myself. “And we’ll finally end this madness.”Emily sat nearby, her face pale and drawn, clutching the last remnants of hope she had. Her brother’s life hung in the balance, and we couldn’t fail.Troy stepped forward, the sword from his uncle’s chest now sheathed at his side. “This might be more than just saving Nathan. If Emily’s right, this man—the one behind all of this—could be tied to the secrets of the cult. He might even be the one who’s been orchestrating the attacks against our pack.”I swallowed hard, the weight of his words sinking in.“You don’t think…?” I he
TROY’S POV.I opened the door letting Blue inside. It was the room where my dad had kept some of his possessions before he died. I have not been inside here for a while and I felt nostalgic.“What are we doing here?” Blue asked, “You never wanted me in this room,” “Yep but I think it’s important now,” I said walking to where there was a pile of boxes, and underneath was an old wooden chest. I removed all the boxes out of my way and brought out a sword from it, carved by the finest blacksmith, and showed it to Blue. “What’s that got to do with anything,” Blue asked, placing both hands on her side.“It belongs to my uncle,” I said. “ Okay, and? Do you intend to use it to fight off the enemies? Because we have to know who they are before we can fight them.” “Look,” I said while showing Blue the fine craft design embedded on the swords. “You see what is written here?” Blue eyes widen in surprise as she reads the words “Deep in the assay,”“Exactly,” I answered proudly and carefully

EMILY’S POV. Humming a turn mindlessly, I strolled along the lonely part leading to my house. It was a shortcut that I had not used in a while but today I decided to take that lane because I was exhausted and needed to rest. While walking I noticed an unusual sound and I turned around to see a man standing beside me. He was wearing all black and wore a mask too, so I could only see a part of his face. “Hey, “ I said trying to hide my fear, it was strange to see another person walking in the same lane because it's usually quiet and nobody uses it as much. He did not say anything, so I kept walking fast and trying to be on high alert. The man eventually caught up with him. At this point, the hair on the back of my neck was standing and I did not know if to run or pretend to be brave. So I choose the latter.“Are you sure you did not take anything from that room,” he asked.“What are you talking about?” I asked, walking faster, trying to get away from this creep. “You know exactly
BLUE’S POV. I went upstairs to tend to my crying babies. I entered the room to find Troy was already there, gently rocking one of the babies side by side and whispering soothing words to both of our little ones. I placed my hands on his shoulder, thankful for his help before going to carry the other baby to breastfeed.I settled into the nearby rocking chair, cradling our second baby close, and chuckled softly. “They like having a lot of attention, don’t they?”He nodded, his gaze shifting between our babies. “They do,” he said, and then smiling softly, he continued ” They are just like their mama, always wanting all of my attention,”“What do you mean?” I pouted, “I definitely do not disturb like this kids,”“Whatever you say, darling, whatever you say,” he responded and kissed my forehead. “They took after their father, not me,” I protested. “I was a sweet little girl growing up and never cried over nothing,” I said proudly.“Even that statement sounds like a lie,” he said cockil
BLUE’S POV.“Hi, what brought you here, this early? I hope you are okay,” I said to Emily as soon as I walked into the office where she was. I noticed she seemed uncomfortable and bothered about something.“Good morning, Blue,” she greeted, “I am sorry for disturbing you but there is something that I need you to see,” “What is that ?” I asked, curious.“It does not look like much at first sight but I think it holds the answers we have been looking for and hopefully it will help us trace the people who experimented on Alex,” Emily said, then unzipped her backpack and brought out some drawings with strange drawing and a green book which looked like something I have seen before. “Where did you get that book from?” I asked while pointing at it. “My brother gave it to me, he said Alex had lent it to him before his death,” she paused studying my reaction, and then continued, “At first glance, it looks like it has nothing to do with anything that has been happening lately and just any regu
BLUE’S POV. “Sabrina, Sabrina,” I called out, turning around in the darkness, the place was void and empty and I had been calling her number for what felt like hours even though it was just a couple of minutes. “Sabrina,” I screamed. “Stop being a coward and fucking answer me, Sabrina,” The atmosphere changed and I immediately knew that Sabrina was nearby. “Stop shouting I can hear you quite alright, I am not deaf,” Sabrina said in a soft sing-song manner. “Then what took you so long to answer me? Cause I would have sworn you were going deaf,” I spat in anger.“Easy there now Child, your anger is too much and we don't like it when. People visit our arena with that much anger, it disrupts the balance of my realm,” she said calmly. The way she sounded calmly made me even more angry.“What do you want Child,” she asked softly, “I am guessing I already know why judging from your anger but I would like to hear you speak for yourself,” “Why did you not inform me earlier, you said you w
EMILY’S POV. I walked up very early in the morning clutching tightly the bag which contained Alex’s drawing and potentially the evidence we needed. I heard the bag tightly throughout the time, afraid that it might disappear or someone would come to steal it from me. I needed to speak with Blue as soon as possible and I went into the shower for a long bath to calm my tired nerves. I got out of the shower and dried my hair when I noticed something was missing. I looked around and the bag was nowhere to be found. I started to panic. Had someone broken into my house when I was bathing? I quickly searched the entire house when I saw Nathan, my younger brother holding the paper in his hands and the other scattered on the ground.“Nathan, what are you doing ?” I shouted at him which startled him. He turned to look at me and immediately he saw my angry expression and said “I am so sorry Emily,” he asked. “What the hell is wrong with you,” I scolded, while arranging all the paper together
EMILY’S POV. “Don’t even try to lie to me, Emily, I have known you long enough to know when something is bothering you,” Veronica replied, looking at me intensely.“Nothing is on my mind. I am fine,” I responded while wiping my hands dry. “Is it about Alex, because if it is, you know you can talk to me,” I responded. The mention of Alex, felt like she put a dagger through my heart and I could feel the intensity of the pain I had been trying so desperately to avoid and I started crying again. Veronica walked up to me and started hugging me and patting my back. “Is okay sweetie?” he whispered into my ears as I cried into her shoulders, “let it all out?” I sobbed uncontrollably into her arms for what felt like forever. “I don't know if I would ever stop to feel this pain?” I sniffed and I lifted myself from her warm hug to look at her. “I don't know if this pain would ever go away, Veronica. It hurt too much,”“I understand you,” she said as she tucked a loose strand of my hair be
