I watched Jewel as she entered her house.

“Today, I will get to the root of the matter.” I tightly clenched my fists on the steering of my car.

It was in this house that I overheard the plot she had with her stepmother.That was one of the reasons I treated her like trash.

I was afraid of what she might do to me should I get closer to her. And at the same time, I never wanted my opinions of her to change when she does according to her stepmother's plans.
