Chapter 70

We sat in the car as it glided smoothly on the road, but I wasn’t concerned about what was happening around me. All I was concerned with was trying to compose what I was going to say to Alex when we got home.

It was too late because before I could process my thoughts, the car stopped in front of my house, and my heart rate picked up just looking at it. All of a sudden, it felt a little strange.

The little garden I have been taking care of has started growing back. “Careful,” Alex said as he helped me out of the car.

“Just lean on me, and I will help you.” He said, and I leaned toward him, letting him lead me inside.

I watched as he was taking charge of everything, even inputting my code, and I was in awe. How did he manage to know all these things? I couldn’t remember telling him. Maybe it was Jeremy.
