A quiet entry

“Plane crash my foot.” Emily cried, hitting her foot against the table. I could see she was angry but therapy must have paid off because she wasn’t bitter.

I rubbed her back again because it was all I could do. I hated feeling useless. Being useless wasn’t a feeling I could afford now because I just remembered something. I hated that something could still come up at a time like this.

I had thought the worst had come and gone. Why? Why did this have to show up now?

I remembered I had thought her name was Familiar. Emily Fitz. Now it all began to make sense. Someone was playing a game with Emily’s life and I was only a pawn.

Not anymore though.

“My mother is a lying murdering bastard.” Emily cried hitting the table with every word she said. I pulled her away before she hurt herself. Bitterness was starting to show. Looks like Dr. Sasha still had more work to do.
