104: Dream Comes True

Avery’s POV

The car came to a stop and my heart started thumping loudly in my chest, no matter how hard I tried to calm myself down, it was still so futile. I wondered what could ever go wrong.

I smothered my jeans which were so straight because I felt so anxious. Jamal opened the door and held my hands protectively while I stepped out of the car, “Careful, don’t hurt yourself okay I'm here to guide you.” his voice held so much affection I could literally jump off a plane if he asked me to right now.

“Thank you.” I muttered. Jamal pulled me close to his side while he slipped his left hand around my slender waist. His skin sent hot shivers down my spine, but then I kept trying to control my emotions and hormones.

I heard the soft clicking of keys, “Now let’s go inside.” he said, guiding me while I took careful strides into the building.
