ALARIC

The voices become louder, Alaric trying to move hearing Azalea speaking; his eyes opening as he sits up looking around the room confused.

“Where’s Willow?” He glances around, everyone shaking their head.

“I’m sorry, Alaric, she’s gone. Someone saw Camille run out the back, and Dan was carrying Willow.” Gwenael looks at him.

“You were under a spell; as soon as we came in we could feel it. It took a few minutes for me to lift it,” Azalea says as he jumps up and gets dressed.

“Where, which way? Who’s following?”

“Alaric, she is gone. Azriel followed but had to stop, there were too many waiting for Dan.”

“Right, well, get everyone together and let’s go. Why are you all just standing there?” Alaric walks to the door impatiently, frowning.

“Because the witches have already turned on us, Alaric, half the wer

Remember exactly who I am and why that ring is on your finger; remember whose baby you’re carrying, and what happens next.” He stands up, Willow looking around the room, everything swarmin

“Hey.” Willow glances up to see Marcel, her eyes dropping to the floor as he walks towards her. “I didn’t think she would hurt you. I may be a monster, but I do have some morals.”“Just the wrong ones apparently, as look, I’m stuck in here, pregnant, with what, one meal a day? Just waiting for you to decide that now is finally the time to kill me.” She wishes they were going to kill her. She knows how it is, Monventla are ruthless, especially at the start.“I will see to it you get more food, and you won’t be killed, just turned. Turning you will mask most of your magic and make your plan fail so things can go back to how they were.” His hand moves towards her, Willow drawing back. “Do it yourself then, cloth and water is there. I’ll get someone to bring you some food.” Turning he walks out; Willow watching him suspiciously before picking up the cloth and cleaning the blood from her fac

Alaric sits alone, looking around himself miserably. Everyone is avoiding him and he honestly can’t blame them. His head shakes as he feels tears filling his eyes. He can’t do it, and he won’t. The werewolves would hate him. Not only that, but he’d rather die than do it again. He can’t live through losing someone else; it was hard enough the first time, but again? The sound of his phone ringing draws his attention and he picks it up without looking at the screen, holding the phone to his ear.“What?” He doesn’t want to hear it; no doubt it’ll just be another werewolf telling him that he has no choice.“Alaric!” His eyes snap open when he hears Camille’s voice on the other end, a slight bit of hope building within him. Maybe she’s going to help now? “Just letting you know, Willow is dead. They killed her.”Alaric shakes his head. “She’s dead? No, they woul

Only the wolves should be able to hear! Alaric, do it now, or the pack will. Alaric looks between everyone, his head shaking.“No.” He moves, putting himself between Willow and the wolves. “If she’s different, how do we know she’s like them? Getting up he walks back to where he left her; when he gets to the field he sees her sitting alone.“Stay at the house; I’ll figure out somewhere else to stay. Azalea deserves to be able to stay there still; she won’t be able to if I’m there.”“Azalea is already staying with the witches. I told her she’s safer away from me.” Alaric’s words are flat, emotionless.“You said no matter what happened you wouldn’t do that! Ala

You left yourself and you came back like- like that, of course I’m on edge. This could all be a game and a trick for all I know; you could be faking your so-called feelings to destroy us all.” He can’t just trust her like that, not when she looks so much like Yasmine had when he’d had to kill her. Willow simply nods and continues to cook. They sit and eat in silence, not even the noise of the TV to permeate the room as it remains resolutely off. Her mind wonders to Yasmine. Was she destined to be the one? Was she meant to be Willow, and something had just gone wrong in the process? Was she the one destined to love Alaric, have his child and bring the worlds together? She thinks about what she’d be doing now had Gwenael not told Alaric she was safe. Would she be alone without any help? Would Alaric have eventually killed her? She can’t imagine a life without Alaric, and yet she can’t understand why it has to be her when Yasmine was the same in every way. Sure, Yasmine had known she was a witch from the start, she had fallen in love with Alaric and hated that the witches turned on her for it. She wanted revenge on them for it. Was that it, though? She feels her head shaking, what if Yasmine was meant to be the one, but she was so full of hate and sadness from the witches hating her for loving Alaric that it made her turn into one of them and Serliciaus had to come up with a second option?&ld

  • Bound By Magic Or Fate? ( book one)   Broken Reality

Willow finds herself waking up, early, almost too early – or it would be, if she actually needed to sleep. She slips out of bed, careful not to disturb Alaric, and walks downstairs, grabbing the laptop to start looking through websites. She would love to go out and shop properly, but she’s still in hiding from the people who think she’s dead, so if they see her alive – and as a vampire, no less – will cause a war. Plus, if Zander is right, any physical activity like shopping is likely to push her into labour, and she’d rather prolong that for as long as she can. She finds herself shopping online for hours, lost in a magical wonderland full of cots and pushchairs and playpens, and before she knows it six o’clock hits and Alaric walks down looking at her confused. He’s still in the worn jogging bottoms he’d slept in, and his hair has been artfully mussed by the pillows.“Guessing you didn’t sleep?” He walks

Willow nods, lifting the spell as he unlocks the door. Standing to the side, Zander walks in; his body stopping as he stares at Willow shocked.“Don’t freak out, please. I hid it with a spell until I knew how people would react.” Willow smiles at him.“I’m freaking out, Willow, I left and there was nothing there and now you look about nine months gone! How is that possible?” Zander stays standing at the door, Alaric sitting down.“I put a spell on it, and it turned out to be such a good spell that there was a lot I didn’t even notice, Zander, like how it isn’t actually one baby but two, and like how they’re growing really quickly.” Willow looks at him wait
