Catherine’s POV:
Midnight called out to me when I was about to close my eyes in a state of shock.
Startled, I let my eyes wide open and didn't blink, not even for a second. I furrowed my brows as I was seeing him reach out to grab my face in slow motion. I looked at the man’s unbelievably large hand and instinctively took a quick step back with just a millisecond.
My eyes were still wide open, watching his every move and warning myself of the next possible target he would aim at.
He swung his fists across my face but I dodged it immediately. I myself was confused at how well I was managing this one on one fight. It was as if my body was movin
Alpha Damien's POV: “Alpha, Hunter is dead.” The old man standing in the position of gamma reported to me along with several other werewolves from the pack who attested to the incident. Although they affirmed me his demise, me and my wolf still couldn't believe it. Hunter is known for his outstanding fighting skills as well as his ability as a warrior who surpassed many in the whole of the United States. Who, or what, living creature could possibly do this? To end the most skilled warrior as Hunter, someone who had never been defeated, and never been placed in his demise, until not long ago when he died in my territory. I stared blankly at the Gamma, who was wearing a complete business attire with a black tie that wrapped him aro
Catherine's POV: “Catherine, Luna!” A gentle but manly voice forced its way into my mind unexpectedly. This voice...Just when I was left alone in the Stygian’s darkness, deeply fixed in my own thoughts as I let my legs run tirelessly through the dark forest, I was abruptly placed in a state of surprise as well as confusion at this very moment. “Drake?” I answered through the mindlink. My head immediately turned to the direction where I heard his voice as my eyes scanned the area in search of Drake’s face, and figure.
Catherine's POV:The bear didn't seem curious at all. Rather, it looked mad as hell, eyes raging and sharp-looking teeth were showing. With the way it supported itself with its back legs as it wailed my way, I can tell that it's probably my scent irking it off and it definitely hasn't come here to welcome us with a big, fat, cheerful hello.Bears don't like our kind. Bears and werewolves have never been friendly with each other ever since the beginning when we’ve come to existence in this small world. The latter is a pretty popular, documented fact. They take one look at us and declare us a threat and we werewolves were never allowed to wander into bear territory in small numbers. These monsters are unbelievably strong, unyielding, gigantic, and more than capable of taking on werewolves like me, as long as I’m smaller in size and lacking the necessary combat skills to fight them
Catherine’s POV:As if willing to protect me with his life, Drake blocked the bear from me with his wolf. I couldn't see the look in his eyes right now but I was sure he was glaring murderously at the roaring bear who was flashing its golden teeth on us as I heard Drake’s thundering growl. Blood gushed out of my stomach and weirdly, I wasn't healing fast. If I were even healing at all, it was like the healing process of mortal human beings, slow and ridiculously painful. Snow white skin replaced all the fur that was once protecting me from exposure and my paws were no longer there as my hands cams into full view. The next thing I knew, I was naked. But my mind expressed little concern to that as it was more concentrated
Catherine's POV:His eyes grew more and more cautious of me as they traveled from my face down to my naked body, throwing a mix of intense lust in those piercing blue eyes, consequently making me realize my fully exposed state. The sudden change of look in those eyes only made the air around us feel even more awkward as it gets. My eyes frantically searched for my treasured backpack, which I just found lying among the debris scattered by that thundering bear on the solid ground of the earth. From the corner of my eyes, I noticed Drake turn his wolf around and his eyes away from my body, making me sigh in relief as I walk towards my bag, knowing how he’d just saved me from embarrassment in such a situation as this.I reached out for my bag and glanced at the monstrous bear lying four feet right ac
Catherine’s POV: Although I couldn't see his smile, I could taste his curiosity and excitement as I told him about the seal, about the scenes or flashbacks I saw in the memories of Grecietta, about my fight with Hunter, and about the inexplicable, powerful force I was able to conjure when I saw the bear threaten his life, even those instances where I lost control over my body as Midnight held the reins while I crouched my back staring into empty space in pure darkness. “Can you try doing it again?” Drake asks ad I hesitate.Opening my hands and raising them in front of my face once again, I tried to conjure up that incredible, invisible, and powerful force I was able to
Catherine's POV:“Drake...”I whispered, eyes wide in shock. I could feel all the hair on my skin stand up as his breath brought warmth on my neck down my body, and I found it oddly difficult to move. The smell of his scent invaded my nose as quickly as he pulled me in.“Please...just tonight...” he pleaded. His voice cracked and I could easily tell he was desperately holding back tears. I sighed and let my body relax in his warm, comforting embrace.“Okay.” We stayed like that for a long time
Catherine's POV: A soft, feminine voice reached my ears, but my view was apparently blocked by Drake’s wolf. He wouldn't let me see the source of that voice coming from the outside. “YOU HEARD HER. STEP INTO THE LIGHT NOW! WHAT ARE YOU HIDING?!” The man yelled, too loud for my ears, while the other woman's voice sounded more pleasing and less aggressive. Drake growled at them fiercely, unwilling to move as he landed his large, firm paws on the surface with his back turned against me. “Drake, let's go.” I urged him. “Can’t you see, Catherine? They’re rogues, and there are about twenty of ‘em. Stay back, luna...please!” he responded with a growl, not directed to me but the the ones he called rogues. But I just knew deep in my heart that w

NARRATOR Catherine woke up feeling Damien's arm laying freely on her waist. She did not want to wake him up with her moving around so she stayed. Damien's face was now clean and smelled like fresh shower. But the damage of the wolfsbane had extremely damaged his sight forever, making it impossible for him to ever see again. This made Catherine's heart crumble. However she thought that if this was the price they had to pay to be together again, she would make it all worth it. She would help Damien get back on his feet. She would feed him until Damien leanrs how to feed himself. She will bathe together with him every day so that he knows he is never alone and that Catherine is there to guide him all the way. She would make him see all of her through the other senses he had not lost. Let his fingers trace every inch of her so he will remember the lines and curves of her body that craved so long for his touch. His embrace. The feel of his skin brushing against hers. The heavenly
CATHERINE's POV I woke up from a dream. A nightmare where I was stranded in darkness. Far away from my home. Far away from my loved ones. I found myself hugging my knees in the dark, unable to see or hear anyone on earth where I came from. I was crying. Crying so hard and loud yet no one seemed to have heard me sob and scream and grunt and cry. The place I found myself thrown into after feeling my last breath disappear into the wind, was starting to cave in on me and I was horrified. Is this the end? I waited for what felt like forever in this dark hole of abyss. All of a sudden, I caught two bundles of light that were coming forward towards me from the corner of my eye.
DAMIEN'S POVThat was the last bit of strength I had within me which I sacrificed to save my only son. I don't care how weak my body gets, or even how much I bleed from the corners of my eyes, or how I can't seem to see anything but darkness all around me. What matters most was that they're safe. I felt my head being settled ln something really soft and warm.Hercules purs and we closed our eyes to rest. But seconds after I heard gunshot. My ears rang as it was too close to where I was. Catherine's scent. I sniffed the air. My eyes grew wide when I smelled her scent blended with that of gunpowder. Was she shot?!At that moment I forced my body to rise. Get up and help my mate. But I couldn't. I can't see a damn thing after Sam gave th
CATHERINE'S POVI let Samantha's lifeless head drop down to the cold tiled floor, motionless. Furious for what she had done to my mate and our family, I let my fangs sink into her head, only deeper and more sharp. Her body that was just standing straight up not too long ago was now lying on the floor with a missing head. Soon her unmoving body was surrounded with a pool of her own vile blood. Her hand was stretched out, releasing the syringe she had used to inject Damien's eyes which was rolling on the floor, empty. I squinted my eyes and the enhanced senses had allowed me to know exactly what it was. Wolfsbane. I growled, and my blood boiled in hatred and disgust.Damien's continuous groans and cries abruptly pulled me out of my raging state and made my wolves whimper at the sounds he was making. We then immediately rushed forward to his aid. Because his hands, neck and entire body were chained against the wall, he could not rub his eyes and can only scream out the agonizing pain. I p
CATHERINE'S POVMy wolves were seething in anger. I felt my claws and fangs descend as I watched Samantha step forward and closer to my mate."Wake up." She order Damien like some animal pet that she felt belong to her. Only, he isn't. Damien is my mate and never will be hers.Gritting my teeth, I turn to Demiana, reaching out to her and Drake through mindlink.'Why is she here? This will sabotage our plan!' I had told them.'We'll find another way, Cath.' was Demiana's reply.'We need to think of some way, to get him away from Samantha' Drake said, his eyes still fixed on Damien and Samantha on the other side.
CATHERINE'S POVWe were in a closed room. Something like a storage room that we stumbled upon when we took a flight of stairs hidden on the floor. At first it was covered by the carpet but Drake spotted the markings and revealed a way."Are you sure this is going to work?" I ask Demiana. She didn't look at me but swinged her chanel bag to her side, bringing out some more of the clothes she packed earlier from the pack house. She had proposed we disguise as Samantha's close friends. That way we can get close to where Damien was without being caught. Well, hopefully."It will Catherine. It has to." Was her only reply.Sighing, I wore the tight leather pants and red sexy silk top before I slipped on the long b
DAMIEN'S POVHercules used to tell me to cling to hope. What is hope? Everything I have had been ripped away from me completely. I was once unyielding, unbeatable, indestructible. I was mighty strong and not even all the other alphas joined together could bring me down or make me kneel at their feet. One thing I didn't see coming, that meeting an innocent looking human girl like Samantha has cost me so much. My mate. My only son. My pack. Now I'm left with nothing but myself. I don't have anything and anyone in my pitiful life anymore. Not even my own wolf. I lost him after three years in this fucking shithole. I tried reaching for him, calling to him, but he never came back. Two years ago...I was chained to a large metal chair. My hands and knees were forced down and locked so that I wouldn't be able to get up. Ffight back. Maybe do something other than blink and let out low growls that weren't helpful either wa
LILITH's POVCharlie suddenly closed his book right after his mom exited the room. He then brought out a photo hidden under the small couch and I lean over to look at it.My eyes widened the moment I saw who he was looking at in the picture."Do you know him, Lily?" I frowned as he called me with that name again. Apparently he liked the sound of it rather than my real name, Lilith. He preferred it short and simple to speak.I press my lips together and stare at the curious lad.Should I tell him? Oh no, what if Luna Catherine didn't want me to?"Have you asked your mom that?"Charlie shakes his head, dropping his gaze
