DAMIEN'S POV
That was the last bit of strength I had within me which I sacrificed to save my only son. I don't care how weak my body gets, or even how much I bleed from the corners of my eyes, or how I can't seem to see anything but darkness all around me. What matters most was that they're safe. I felt my head being settled ln something really soft and warm.
Hercules purs and we closed our eyes to rest. But seconds after I heard gunshot. My ears rang as it was too close to where I was. Catherine's scent.
I sniffed the air. My eyes grew wide when I smelled her scent blended with that of gunpowder. Was she shot?!
At that moment I forced my body to rise. Get up and help my mate. But I couldn't. I can't see a damn thing after Sam gave th
CATHERINE's POV I woke up from a dream. A nightmare where I was stranded in darkness. Far away from my home. Far away from my loved ones. I found myself hugging my knees in the dark, unable to see or hear anyone on earth where I came from. I was crying. Crying so hard and loud yet no one seemed to have heard me sob and scream and grunt and cry. The place I found myself thrown into after feeling my last breath disappear into the wind, was starting to cave in on me and I was horrified. Is this the end? I waited for what felt like forever in this dark hole of abyss. All of a sudden, I caught two bundles of light that were coming forward towards me from the corner of my eye.
NARRATOR Catherine woke up feeling Damien's arm laying freely on her waist. She did not want to wake him up with her moving around so she stayed. Damien's face was now clean and smelled like fresh shower. But the damage of the wolfsbane had extremely damaged his sight forever, making it impossible for him to ever see again. This made Catherine's heart crumble. However she thought that if this was the price they had to pay to be together again, she would make it all worth it. She would help Damien get back on his feet. She would feed him until Damien leanrs how to feed himself. She will bathe together with him every day so that he knows he is never alone and that Catherine is there to guide him all the way. She would make him see all of her through the other senses he had not lost. Let his fingers trace every inch of her so he will remember the lines and curves of her body that craved so long for his touch. His embrace. The feel of his skin brushing against hers. The heavenly

Catherine's POVI had been working as a slave for almost eight whole goddamn years in this stinking shithole of Silver Moon Pack. My life turned upside down at the age of 10. I'm about to reach 18 years old, but that won't happen until after two days. Like most werewolves, my wolf has still not emerged. I don't know why, but I feel like she's inside me...as if she is in a deep slumber... I pushed that thought away. Maybe that's just pure imagination. Anyway, They called me their slave, and I followed their every order as long as it was all about doing chores. All the cleaning, cooking, laundry, all that shit. They used me so they would spend their time freely doing whatever they want, whenever they wanted. I don't remember anything from my past. All I know is that I've been a slave for as long as I can remember. At least my name was still intact in my head. My first name, that is. I'm Catherine, daughter of no one, sister to none, and slave to almost everyone. I spent these years al
Easton's POV: I'd finished fucking an omega in the storage room and taken a quick walk down the hallway to get my shit together before going back to dealing with that Jessica, who my father chose to be my mate. I mentally roll my eyes, dreading the fact that I would have to face my ‘chosen’ mate. The truth is, my father was the one who chose Jessica for me, I didn’t. Although she is a real hotshot, she’s more hot-tempered and possessive than I am. In other words, she got looks. A brain? Not so much. She wants to be Luna, but I don’t think I she’s fit that role though. If I would pick a mate out for myself, I definitely won't pick Jessica. She would wear too much makeup, clothes that were barely covering anything on her body, and seemed well…too into me. For the past few months I have been extremely patient with her demands. I admit I must have spoiled her too much in order to please my father who is presently the Alpha of the Silver Moon Pack, Alpha Norman. Eight years ago, I vowed t
Catherine's POV: My mind got easily bombarded with questions as I felt Easton slowly change the position of his lips from my neck moving forward to my cheek. The stinging pain from Jessica's slap earlier instantly got replaced with a tingling sensation evidently caused by Easton's warm breath. I panicked. My body was shaking, my hands were sweating, I can't even feel my legs. Just when I wondered when this was going to end and where it would lead me, Jessica reappeared. And for the first time, her sudden appearance made me feel relief rather than fear or dismay. "What the fuck are you doing with that little bitch?!" She screamed. I can tell from her eyes that she was about to explode with intense rage, threatening to pounce at me anytime. I looked at Easton, and from the look of his calm expression I can't even tell if he was annoyed or at least worried that his chosen mate just caught him sniffing another she-wolf right under her nose. He didn't turn his gaze away from me. Inste
Catherine's POV: ‘Mate…’ That single word echoed through my mind. Did I hear him wrong? Maybe that was my mind playing tricks on me. I wanted to burst out laughing, raise my hand, or say something in protest but couldn’t. My heart felt as if it was ready to jump out of my chest any second. I wasn't really ready with that bit of information, especially not from him. I am his mate? How could that be? Why would the moon goddess pick me to be his mate? She must have known better than anyone that I was just a mere slave. A no one. Nothing but a freak who lost her memories as a little child. Too irrelevant and weak to be mated to an Alpha’s son. I have been told by almost every single werewolf in this pack that my existence was never meant to be. That I wasn’t worthy of love from anyone. Let alone have a mate. I accepted that with an open mind and heart. I knew no one would want a mate as broken as me. Even if I did have a mate, he was the last pers
Catherine's POV: Thirty eight minutes later. I just finished cooking the eggs, bacon, toasts, some croissants, cheese sandwiches, and breakfast burritos for the whole pack. Unfortunately, I haven't had the time to stuff a croissant in my hungry dry mouth or drink water as I was really really getting behind the clock. I quickly set up the tables and placed all the food that I cooked for breakfast. After several minutes, a bunch of hungry werewolves started sitting down on the pack table and instantly devoured everything at hindsight. The Alpha, Easton, and the Luna were there too, eating their own share of the bounty. While I stood in a corner nearby and silently watched as the food I just created vanished for a short period of time, having none for myself caused a severe pain in my stomach. Some werewolves who were passing by subsequently bumped me on my shoulders, threw water on my dirty apron, and kicked my foot intentionally. Nonetheless, I care little for the brutes, but the pai

CATHERINE'S POVI let Samantha's lifeless head drop down to the cold tiled floor, motionless. Furious for what she had done to my mate and our family, I let my fangs sink into her head, only deeper and more sharp. Her body that was just standing straight up not too long ago was now lying on the floor with a missing head. Soon her unmoving body was surrounded with a pool of her own vile blood. Her hand was stretched out, releasing the syringe she had used to inject Damien's eyes which was rolling on the floor, empty. I squinted my eyes and the enhanced senses had allowed me to know exactly what it was. Wolfsbane. I growled, and my blood boiled in hatred and disgust.Damien's continuous groans and cries abruptly pulled me out of my raging state and made my wolves whimper at the sounds he was making. We then immediately rushed forward to his aid. Because his hands, neck and entire body were chained against the wall, he could not rub his eyes and can only scream out the agonizing pain. I p
CATHERINE'S POVMy wolves were seething in anger. I felt my claws and fangs descend as I watched Samantha step forward and closer to my mate."Wake up." She order Damien like some animal pet that she felt belong to her. Only, he isn't. Damien is my mate and never will be hers.Gritting my teeth, I turn to Demiana, reaching out to her and Drake through mindlink.'Why is she here? This will sabotage our plan!' I had told them.'We'll find another way, Cath.' was Demiana's reply.'We need to think of some way, to get him away from Samantha' Drake said, his eyes still fixed on Damien and Samantha on the other side.
CATHERINE'S POVWe were in a closed room. Something like a storage room that we stumbled upon when we took a flight of stairs hidden on the floor. At first it was covered by the carpet but Drake spotted the markings and revealed a way."Are you sure this is going to work?" I ask Demiana. She didn't look at me but swinged her chanel bag to her side, bringing out some more of the clothes she packed earlier from the pack house. She had proposed we disguise as Samantha's close friends. That way we can get close to where Damien was without being caught. Well, hopefully."It will Catherine. It has to." Was her only reply.Sighing, I wore the tight leather pants and red sexy silk top before I slipped on the long b
DAMIEN'S POVHercules used to tell me to cling to hope. What is hope? Everything I have had been ripped away from me completely. I was once unyielding, unbeatable, indestructible. I was mighty strong and not even all the other alphas joined together could bring me down or make me kneel at their feet. One thing I didn't see coming, that meeting an innocent looking human girl like Samantha has cost me so much. My mate. My only son. My pack. Now I'm left with nothing but myself. I don't have anything and anyone in my pitiful life anymore. Not even my own wolf. I lost him after three years in this fucking shithole. I tried reaching for him, calling to him, but he never came back. Two years ago...I was chained to a large metal chair. My hands and knees were forced down and locked so that I wouldn't be able to get up. Ffight back. Maybe do something other than blink and let out low growls that weren't helpful either wa
LILITH's POVCharlie suddenly closed his book right after his mom exited the room. He then brought out a photo hidden under the small couch and I lean over to look at it.My eyes widened the moment I saw who he was looking at in the picture."Do you know him, Lily?" I frowned as he called me with that name again. Apparently he liked the sound of it rather than my real name, Lilith. He preferred it short and simple to speak.I press my lips together and stare at the curious lad.Should I tell him? Oh no, what if Luna Catherine didn't want me to?"Have you asked your mom that?"Charlie shakes his head, dropping his gaze
