Where was she? Church finished hours ago. I did not want to spend any alone time with Abigail, if it could be helped.

Abigail walked into the room, a smirk on her face, “Afternoon, how is my patient this fine day?” She asked with a bright smile.

“You’re awfully chipper, aren’t you?” I grumbled, disappointed it wasn’t Amaya.

“Yes, my beautiful granddaughter has met a wonderful man and is on a walk with him as we speak.” She practically singed. Her eyes, watching me closely, looking for a reaction.

I fisted my hands, trying not to show any emotion. “If Sin is with her again, I swear I will.”

“You will what?” She dared me. Moving closer to me. “Hurt him, kill him, you would hurt her to get what you want, wouldn’t you?” She accused. “That is exactly why she won’t pick you. You are selfish and are only out for yourself.”

“That’s not what I meant.”

“Isn’t it though? You don’t see how she feels or even care to ask. You just see her as a prize to be obtained when she is so much more tha

What the hell was happening to me? I left the cabin, heading to the trees where I couldn’t hurt anyone. I walked down the path heading into the forest, not really paying attention to where I was going. Everything was an assault to my senses, and I felt like every nerve in my body was on alert. I came upon a large maple tree, deciding it was a good a place as any. I sat at the base of the tree. Taking deep breaths to calm my ragged breathing. How was I supposed to control something I have never had before and how did I get this ability to begin with? Awhile later I heard rustling in the trees and looked over to see Abigail emerge from them, a little winded. “Well, it took some time to find you.” Abigail announced as she approached me. She sat on the grass in front of me. “Are you okay?” I shrugged, “I don’t know what is happening to me and how to control it. I have never done anything like this before. Everything is so new, and it is a lot to digest, not to mention the witch hunte

  • Bonded To Sin   Chapter Twenty (Sin)

The meeting with the oracle was eye opening as well as infuriating, why would Lazarus and I both have the same fated mate? How is that even possible? Angry I mounted my nightmare Amdis. As Rook mounted his nightmare, he asked, “Why did you take her to the future?” “That is my business.” I snapped annoyed at the whole situation. “Fair enough, was just wondering how you two were connected before this, I thought you found her at random.” Ignoring him, I thought about that day. The baby I dropped into the future hadn’t even crossed my mind at all. At the request of a friend, I agreed to transport her daughter to somewhere that was safe. I was there all of five minutes, placing the basket in a safe spot for the fire station manager to find. I left and didn’t look back. So how was it that by complete chance I travelled back and found her as an adult and felt pulled to get her of all the people to help me repay my debt, and carry out my plan? How was it I chose her? We rode back in silen

I was asleep in Abigail’s living room when I heard someone stumbling around, half asleep I sat up, rubbing my eyes. “What time is it?” I asked as I looked out the window. It was still dark, nothing was visible. The fire in the enormous fireplace was nothing but red coals. I couldn’t even see who was crashing into everything. “Damn it.” I heard Sin curse as he banged into a piece of furniture. I leaned over and turned on the lantern that I kept beside my spot by the fireplace, then stood and grabbed some logs, putting them into the fireplace to get it going again. Then I turned and faced Sin. He stood there and stared at me, “What are you doing?” I hissed in a low voice, trying not to wake anyone. “Wanted to see you.” He slurred as he stumbled towards me. “Really?” I raised my brows and crossing my arms. He seemed to be drunk. “And how much have you had to drink? Can you even get drunk?” I pondered, as he smiled mischievously. “Yup, demons have their own type of alcohol.” He repli

“Why would you make such a ridiculous deal?” Hellebore asked as I closed the door. How long had she been here? I sighed, “You’re spying on me now?” I retorted before adding, “If we pushed her right now, she would reject us both, and I haven’t exactly made the best impression on her, mother.” “You can say that again?” she sneered as she gestured to me, “Still haven’t got the witch to undo her spell, I see.” She stated as she watched me use the crutches to return to the bed. “No… I’m using these for fun.” I lifted the crutches as she frowned at my sarcasm. “You can’t even get a witch to do your bidding, how are you supposed to control demons?” She shook her head, disappointed. "Maybe I should've picked Rook." “I told you once and a hundred times before. I don’t want to be King never have. It’s you who wants me in a place of power so you can make me into a puppet king.” I bit out angrily. Her face reddened with anger as she walked towards me and grabbed my chin hard; long nails digg

I have some time before I have to go help collect herbs and since I basically know nothing about you, how about a game? I asked as I struggled to start a conversation with Samuel. The agreement Sin and Samuel made did not sit well with me. It made me feel like a prize to be won and I didn't want them to see me as an object, So I figured this game would make him see me as more of a person than a prize to win. “What kind of game?” Samuel frowned, looking at his leg. “I can’t exactly move without the bloody crutches.” I shook my head. “It’s not that kind of game. It’s a stationary game called twenty questions.” “What’s that?” “We take turns asking each other questions and answer honestly, I’m not exactly sure what the original game was meant to be, but my friends and I just used it to ask each other questions. It was how we learned about each other and our group's secrets.” I smiled. “Ok, can we pass on a question?” Samuel asked, looking uncomfortable. “You get one pass.” I smiled

  • Bonded To Sin   Chapter Twenty- Four (Amaya)

It had been four months since Samuel and Sin had made their arrangement. I had also worked with Abigail to control my magic and was improving faster than we had hoped. I still felt like everyone was keeping things from me. Especially the guys, the more I was with them, the more I noticed similarities in their appearance and mannerisms. Samuel still refused to take off his stupid hat. My relationship with the two men seemed to be getting more entangled. The more I spent time with them, the more I was drawn to them, If I were asked to choose between the two, I don’t think I’d be able to. Sin was impulsive, kind, flirty, and I found him easy to talk to and the chemistry was natural, with Samuel we had long conversations about different things, he was smart and a little awkward, which I thought was adorable; Although I noticed that he sometimes had an impulsive side that reminded me a lot of Sin. I loved spending time with both of them; I have gotten myself in a mess that I don’t know h

I hated leaving Amaya with Samuel, but I had no choice if my plan was to be put into action, I needed to be far away from her, and if Abigail was missing had it already started? I headed towards the village searching for Abigail, As I reached the path heading into the village, she ran into me. I looked down at her panicked face as she looked up at me, confused. “You need to go Sin, or the plan won’t work, I believe they will come after us soon, there are rumors going around town that Pastor Gideon has some kind of secret weapon to find witches, everyone in town is talking about it." “Calm down Abigail, our plan will work.” I spoke to her as she rushed through her story. “But I didn’t think I would be putting my own daughter in danger.” She sniffed as she looked at me, tears in her eyes. “Why did you pick her?” “To be honest, I didn’t know it was her, it was a coincidence, I swear.” I reassured her. “I only found out she was your daughter when I saw the oracle. Have you known the w

I had gone to check the cave to see if Abigail had gone there, but it was empty; I had checked the surrounding paths as well, but came up empty-handed. Feeling defeated, I returned to the cottage to see if Samuel had any luck; he had gone into town to talk to the Pastor and check the village to see if Abigail got held up there. I had just finished lighting the fire in the hearth when Abigail entered, looking a little frazzled. “I was looking everywhere for you.” I accused as I walked up to her, taking her basket and setting it on the table. “Sorry dear, I got stuck in the village longer than I had expected. An illness has broken out, and I had to make a house visit to the Benham’s place. Their children are ill." “That’s awful, are they going to be, ok?” "I am not sure." She sighed as she sat down at the table. " Last winter took a toll on the village, so many people struggled to find food and without proper diet illness sets in, people are struggling." I walked over to the fir

I was in shock, how the hell had history repeated itself, again I stood in a place I was unfamiliar with a creature that claimed I was his fated mate and belonged to him, and now I had an inconvenient passenger in my body. The Goddess Hekate had moved in and made herself at home. I pushed away from him, “what gives you the right to take me away from them?” He looked down at me with angry eyes. “I have every right to take what is mine, and you are mine.” “I am no one's property!” I yelled at him as my anger and frustration consumed me. I felt the goddess's power bubbling beneath the surface, amplifying my own as my surrounding began to shake and move. “Take me back.” “You think you can order me around,” He asked with a laugh, walking towards me.” “I am not asking. I am telling.” “Sorry, but no, I will not return to my prison in hell, and I don’t think you have the power to force me.” “The ring.” I heard an unfamiliar voice hiss in my head. I looked at my father's ring on my hand

“Your Satan, are you not?” Lazarus questioned. “I am, and you are standing between me and my fated mate. So, move.” Annoyed, he flicked his wrist and sent Lazarus flying. “Again, she is not your fated mate. She is mine and my brothers.” I pointed out, not believing I had actually admitted she belonged to Lazarus as well. He made his way towards us, “move out of my way.” He ordered. “We won’t let you near her, you will not leave this cave.” Lazarus snapped. He laughed in response it was deep mocking laugh that made my skin crawl. “You two demon spawn can try; you have no idea who you are messing with.” “I am afraid they have a point.” The goddess said, stepping out from behind us. “We can’t let you leave and cause chaos in the different planes.” He walked up to her and touched her face, “What is your name?” “My name is Hekate, but this body is Amaya.” “Do you really plan to stand between me and what’s mine?” “I highly doubt you would be willing to kill your fated mate.” She c

I followed Amaya into the darkness of the cave, my mind still reeling from the fight with Hellebore. I had never actually witnessed her use a weapon before and her transforming parts of her body at will was a little unnerving. Amaya’s reaction to Abigail’s death would haunt me forever. I wish I could have saved her from that pain. Personally, I liked Abigail and considered her my friend. I would miss her more than I cared to admit. “Can you see where we are going?” I asked Amaya, but the goddess is who answered. She looked at me with her eerie eyes, which seemed to stand out against the darkness, “I can see in the dark.” She replied, “besides I only need to follow Hellebores thread." “Her thread?” “Every living thing has one, it is one of Amaya’s abilities. I must say, it is quite handy.” “I have never been able to have a conversation with you before, now that we can, it feels weird.” I frowned. “I suppose it would be, I have never been in a host that was able to support my abil

I felt frozen in place, “Lazarus, kill her now, or else!” Hellebore threatened, barely controlling her anger.I pulled out my sword and moved towards Abigail, Amaya moved to stand in front of her.“Lazarus, you don’t have to do this.” She told me the look on her face was enough to break me.“Do it, or you will die in her place.” Hellebore hissed from behind me as followed me. How I hated my mother for everything, because of her, I have always been alone, even segregated from my own brothers.Angry, I turned and plunged the sword into Hellebore’s stomach, her eyes widened then she shook her head with a look of disgust on her face.I released the sword and backed away from her, waiting for the binding spell to take effect, but it didn’t I looked down at my hands confused, how was I still alive?“You, stupid, stupid boy.” She yelled at me as she removed the sword from her stomach. I followed the skeleton arms up the mountain, with the others following behind.“What do you see?” Sin asked.“There was a symbol on the stone back there. When I placed my hand on it, a bunch of skeleton arms popped up from the ground, pointing in this direction.” I explained.Sin frowned. “I can’t see anything, just an ordinary mountain trail.”“I can see it fine, not sure why, though.” I replied honestly.Abigail, Magma and I followed until we reached a river that cut through the mountain. Its pink water was steaming.“How do we get across?” I asked, debating if I should touch the water. “The trial picks up again on the other side.”Sin waded into the water; it wasn’t very deep. “The necklace I gave you should protect you, but I rather not risk it.” He frowned.“It doesn’t look too bad.” I pointed out, debating if I should test out the necklace.“I’ll carry you across.” He told me.A little leery I let him pick me up he walked across and me down on the shore and turned to head back

“What are you doing?” I asked when I heard Sin behind me. “Can I join you?” He asked with a smile as he reached for the button on his jeans. My heart raced as I watched him undress. “I’m assuming that since you didn’t answer that it was a yes.” He chuckled as he stepped into the shower with me. “You are a sneaky demon.” I smiled as he placed his hands on my shoulders, his eyes swirling red, orange, and yellow, as he leaned down and kissed me. His hands ran down my arms, sending shivers up my spine. I placed my hands on his muscular chest and pushed him away. “I came in here to shower.” Smirking, I scolded him, trying not to show how aroused I really was. He quirked a brow at me, grabbing the soap from behind me and lathering it into a loofah. “Then let me wash you.” “Really, you are such a brat.” I laughed as he walked behind me and washed my back and ass. He reached around to my front to wash my breasts and stomach as he kissed and nipped my neck. A moan escaped my lips as he

I headed to my room as panic seized me. How could I do as she asked? If I killed Abigail, Amaya would never forgive me, but if I didn’t, I will die and leave Amaya unprotected against my mother. If I could get the vial of my blood from her, I wouldn’t have to do as she says as long as Amaya and Abigail can help me break the binding. If I told them what Hellebore wanted me to do, they may not forgive me for making a deal with her to begin with. They might understand that I did it to protect my brother, but I know my brothers would not forgive me either. I paced the length of my room, trying to decide what I should I do. Deciding my best bet was to talk to Amaya and tell her everything, I left my room and went to look for her. I had looked everywhere in the castle and could not find her. The last place I checked was the throne room. Seeing Merula, I approached him and asked, “Where are Amaya and Abigail?” “They left the castle with the King; I am not sure when they will be back.”

“We need to get back to the castle. I don’t want to leave Hellebore up to her tricks for too long. How fast can you pack?” Sin asked Magma. He left the room and came back with a backpack. “Packed.” He smiled. We climbed back into the boat, and Magnus and Sin rowed us across. After getting out, we headed to the nightmares. “We are short a nightmare.” Sin frowned. “Magnus can ride with me.” Abigail smiled and winked at him. Magnus chuckled, “Thank you.” We mounted and headed back to the castle. Amaya rode beside me while Abagail and Magma trailed slowly behind, lost in conversation. “Those two seem to have hit it off.” Amaya laughed. “So, it would seem.” I chuckled. Amaya was lost in thought and looked puzzled. “What’s wrong, my little flame?” Her cheeks turned red as she asked, “Would his hair burn her?” I laughed, “I honestly have no idea.” A while later, we reached the village surrounding the castle, people looked at us and whispers and gasps broke out among the people wh
