I felt frozen in place, “Lazarus, kill her now, or else!” Hellebore threatened, barely controlling her anger.

I pulled out my sword and moved towards Abigail, Amaya moved to stand in front of her.

“Lazarus, you don’t have to do this.” She told me the look on her face was enough to break me.

“Do it, or you will die in her place.” Hellebore hissed from behind me as followed me. How I hated my mother for everything, because of her, I have always been alone, even segregated from my own brothers.

Angry, I turned and plunged the sword into Hellebore’s stomach, her eyes widened then she shook her head with a look of disgust on her face.

I released the sword and backed away from her, waiting for the binding spell to take effect, but it didn’t I looked down at my hands confused, how was I still alive?

“You, stupid, stupid boy.” She yelled at me as she removed the sword from her stomach. Surprisingly, no blood fell and there wasn’t a mark left on her skin at all. She threw my sword to the groun

I followed Amaya into the darkness of the cave, my mind still reeling from the fight with Hellebore. I had never actually witnessed her use a weapon before and her transforming parts of her body at will was a little unnerving. Amaya’s reaction to Abigail’s death would haunt me forever. I wish I could have saved her from that pain. Personally, I liked Abigail and considered her my friend. I would miss her more than I cared to admit. “Can you see where we are going?” I asked Amaya, but the goddess is who answered. She looked at me with her eerie eyes, which seemed to stand out against the darkness, “I can see in the dark.” She replied, “besides I only need to follow Hellebores thread." “Her thread?” “Every living thing has one, it is one of Amaya’s abilities. I must say, it is quite handy.” “I have never been able to have a conversation with you before, now that we can, it feels weird.” I frowned. “I suppose it would be, I have never been in a host that was able to support my abil

“Your Satan, are you not?” Lazarus questioned. “I am, and you are standing between me and my fated mate. So, move.” Annoyed, he flicked his wrist and sent Lazarus flying. “Again, she is not your fated mate. She is mine and my brothers.” I pointed out, not believing I had actually admitted she belonged to Lazarus as well. He made his way towards us, “move out of my way.” He ordered. “We won’t let you near her, you will not leave this cave.” Lazarus snapped. He laughed in response it was deep mocking laugh that made my skin crawl. “You two demon spawn can try; you have no idea who you are messing with.” “I am afraid they have a point.” The goddess said, stepping out from behind us. “We can’t let you leave and cause chaos in the different planes.” He walked up to her and touched her face, “What is your name?” “My name is Hekate, but this body is Amaya.” “Do you really plan to stand between me and what’s mine?” “I highly doubt you would be willing to kill your fated mate.” She c

I was in shock, how the hell had history repeated itself, again I stood in a place I was unfamiliar with a creature that claimed I was his fated mate and belonged to him, and now I had an inconvenient passenger in my body. The Goddess Hekate had moved in and made herself at home. I pushed away from him, “what gives you the right to take me away from them?” He looked down at me with angry eyes. “I have every right to take what is mine, and you are mine.” “I am no one's property!” I yelled at him as my anger and frustration consumed me. I felt the goddess's power bubbling beneath the surface, amplifying my own as my surrounding began to shake and move. “Take me back.” “You think you can order me around,” He asked with a laugh, walking towards me.” “I am not asking. I am telling.” “Sorry, but no, I will not return to my prison in hell, and I don’t think you have the power to force me.” “The ring.” I heard an unfamiliar voice hiss in my head. I'm cursed, I'd have to be. Nothing that has happened in the past few weeks makes any sense. For weeks, I’ve had nothing but bad luck. I was fired from my job because my pervert of a boss said I was too distracting, my car broke down, and most recently I was almost hit by a bus. Luckily, someone had pulled me out of the way. The entire time this has been going on, I have the pins and needles feeling on the back of my neck telling me someone or something is watching me. “Miss, your coffee,” the cashier called after me as I opened the door. "Oh, thank you." I murmured, rushing back to the counter. I grabbed my cup and turned to leave. Not two footsteps outside the coffee shop. I stumbled and dumped the hot contents on my shirt, cursing I grasped the material and held it away from my body. “Stroke of bad luck?” A tall man asked as he followed me out of the shop. Something about him told me to run. His jet-black hair fell into his eyes, his unique captivating eyes, the color of fire f

I stretched to keep myself awake as I watched the scene before me. My subjects had decided that it was time for me to find a queen. Of course, my subjects were offering their daughters and nieces, trying to get their bloodline to become part of the royal bloodline. Tedious, I didn’t want any random she-demon. I wanted someone I had a connection with. My subjects had become so boring, they were too comfortable and predictable. How disgusting. I need excitement. Something different and entertaining. “Sire, are you listening?” My right-hand man, Merula, asked, shattering my train of thought. Merula reminded me of a rat with his slight frame and shifty features, he never looked you in the eyes. He always seemed to be there, listening and watching. He was smart and gave good advice, and he always kept me informed of what was happening in the castle. Merula was surprisingly lucky when it came to women. “Yes, and none of them will be my Queen.” I frowned at him. His beady, black eyes widen

  • Bonded To Sin   Chapter Three (Amaya)

I wandered around the area; I was in the middle of a dense forest.Everything was black and I could see no lights. Where the hell am I? Cursing Sin, as if that was even his name. What was he, exactly? Humans couldn’t do what he did. Where did he leave me anyway, and why was he so intent that I make a deal with him? I wandered aimlessly, not really knowing where to go, doing my best to head in the same direction, figuring the woods would have to break into a field, road, or something at some point. Unsure of how much time had passed, I came across a small cottage. I peaked in the window, not seeing anyone. I made my way to the door. Just as I was about to turn the handle, I heard something move behind me. "What are you doing, girl?" A woman spoke with a gravelly voice. “And what on earth are you wearing?” I spun around and a little old lady stood before me wearing a long old style black and white dress with a white bonnet which had a black cap placed on top. She looked at my clothi

I returned to my throne room where Hellebore was already waiting, a smile on her face. "So, you possess humans now?" I asked nonchalantly, remembering how she had possessed Amaya’s friend's body. Bitch had been spying on me. She shrugged. “Just wondering what you’ve been up to the last few days.” She smiled. I could trust her about as much as I could trust a feral animal. What was she up to? “A little obsessed with the human, aren’t you? Where did you leave her, exactly?” "Are you really questioning your King?" I accused, not liking how invested she seemed to be, like I’d tell her where I hid my little human. Before she could reply. My little brother, Rook, walked into the room. Wearing his normal attire of black dress pants and white dress shirt, he was tall and built like most in our army, his hair cut short and his face clean shaven, he had sharp features like his mother and green eyes that shimmered and changed constantly. Rook was a few years younger than me, and I knew that

Abigail woke me up just as the sun rose. She had me fetch water from a well that was a short distance from her cottage. When I brought it back, she made porridge for breakfast and poured me a glass of beer. “Beer for breakfast?” I asked, confused. “Not a custom where you’re from?” she asked. When I shook my head no she replied, “it will help fill you up and give you energy for the work we need to do today. Besides it is safer to drink than water, the water around here has been making people sick.” I nodded and took a sip. It was thick like porridge but smooth and had a bitter bite to it. I scrunched my nose as the bitter taste lingered in my mouth. I was never a beer fan. Abigail laughed, “You get used to it, bottoms up girl. We got work to do.” I chugged the contents and finished my porridge as she put bread, cheese, butter and a jug of beer into a basket and handed it to me as she grabbed another basket which was empty. We left the cottage, and I followed as she went deeper

I followed the skeleton arms up the mountain, with the others following behind.“What do you see?” Sin asked.“There was a symbol on the stone back there. When I placed my hand on it, a bunch of skeleton arms popped up from the ground, pointing in this direction.” I explained.Sin frowned. “I can’t see anything, just an ordinary mountain trail.”“I can see it fine, not sure why, though.” I replied honestly.Abigail, Magma and I followed until we reached a river that cut through the mountain. Its pink water was steaming.“How do we get across?” I asked, debating if I should touch the water. “The trial picks up again on the other side.”Sin waded into the water; it wasn’t very deep. “The necklace I gave you should protect you, but I rather not risk it.” He frowned.“It doesn’t look too bad.” I pointed out, debating if I should test out the necklace.“I’ll carry you across.” He told me.A little leery I let him pick me up he walked across and me down on the shore and turned to head back

“What are you doing?” I asked when I heard Sin behind me. “Can I join you?” He asked with a smile as he reached for the button on his jeans. My heart raced as I watched him undress. “I’m assuming that since you didn’t answer that it was a yes.” He chuckled as he stepped into the shower with me. “You are a sneaky demon.” I smiled as he placed his hands on my shoulders, his eyes swirling red, orange, and yellow, as he leaned down and kissed me. His hands ran down my arms, sending shivers up my spine. I placed my hands on his muscular chest and pushed him away. “I came in here to shower.” Smirking, I scolded him, trying not to show how aroused I really was. He quirked a brow at me, grabbing the soap from behind me and lathering it into a loofah. “Then let me wash you.” “Really, you are such a brat.” I laughed as he walked behind me and washed my back and ass. He reached around to my front to wash my breasts and stomach as he kissed and nipped my neck. A moan escaped my lips as he

I headed to my room as panic seized me. How could I do as she asked? If I killed Abigail, Amaya would never forgive me, but if I didn’t, I will die and leave Amaya unprotected against my mother. If I could get the vial of my blood from her, I wouldn’t have to do as she says as long as Amaya and Abigail can help me break the binding. If I told them what Hellebore wanted me to do, they may not forgive me for making a deal with her to begin with. They might understand that I did it to protect my brother, but I know my brothers would not forgive me either. I paced the length of my room, trying to decide what I should I do. Deciding my best bet was to talk to Amaya and tell her everything, I left my room and went to look for her. I had looked everywhere in the castle and could not find her. The last place I checked was the throne room. Seeing Merula, I approached him and asked, “Where are Amaya and Abigail?” “They left the castle with the King; I am not sure when they will be back.”

“We need to get back to the castle. I don’t want to leave Hellebore up to her tricks for too long. How fast can you pack?” Sin asked Magma. He left the room and came back with a backpack. “Packed.” He smiled. We climbed back into the boat, and Magnus and Sin rowed us across. After getting out, we headed to the nightmares. “We are short a nightmare.” Sin frowned. “Magnus can ride with me.” Abigail smiled and winked at him. Magnus chuckled, “Thank you.” We mounted and headed back to the castle. Amaya rode beside me while Abagail and Magma trailed slowly behind, lost in conversation. “Those two seem to have hit it off.” Amaya laughed. “So, it would seem.” I chuckled. Amaya was lost in thought and looked puzzled. “What’s wrong, my little flame?” Her cheeks turned red as she asked, “Would his hair burn her?” I laughed, “I honestly have no idea.” A while later, we reached the village surrounding the castle, people looked at us and whispers and gasps broke out among the people wh
