The closer James and I get to the table, the more obvious it is that they're really shooting glares at each other. I can't be wrong about this. I know Miranda. I hope she didn't cause any trouble, especially because she's already in a bad mood.

"Are you seeing this?" James asks me.

"Yeah." I furrow my eyebrows.

Taking my seat, I look at both of them and say, "Is everything okay?"

"Yeah, we were just getting to know each other," Miranda says with a smile as her gaze softens.

It's hard to believe after what James and I just saw.

I look over at Stacey and she chuckles. "Yeah... Miranda's quite interesting."

James and I glance at each other, then subtly shrug.

I don't even dwell on it too much as I glance at Layla and Louis. I look away, determined not to keep staring at them this time, but I fail.
