BESHADONNA.

The cold breeze that was bringing goosebumps to my skin was what made me become conscious. I opened my eyes and gazed around me. I was in shock, and when I started to replay what exactly happened until I arrive here, my heart only swelled in anger.

Claus had lied to me. He said that he’ll bring me to that wonderful world that I’ve been envisioning in my dreams, but being here only means that he lied to me. How could u be so stupid to believe him?

I remember him walking me inside to a great colored house. I walked in and sat there on a cozy chair as he made me a drink. Enthusiastically I drank it , feeling alive that I could possibly get rid of all the responsibilities that I left then back home.

But after sometime, I started feeling dizzy unable to remember what exactly I was talking about. My eyes had started to be droopy and the last thing I know I blacked out.

And here I was in a room , with just my inner garments and cuffs around my hands and legs. The room was darks and there was a little light coming through from a little window that was a bit higher at the wall. I sighed heavily as I started thinking of how stupid I was to trust a stranger so easily.

The door opened and I saw a male shadow walk towards me. When he became visible, the anger that I had inside me only increased.

“You.” I seethed. Claus glanced at me with a mischievous smile edged on his face.

“Ah, you are awake.” He said to me as I gazed at me with the cuffs around me.

“You’ll be sorry that you had to do this.” I threatened him. He gazed at me woefully then he laughed devilishly.

“Oh my dear princess, I’ve done quite much dangerous things apart from holding you captive.” Claus said silently as he walked toward me .

I gazed at him ferociously. “They will come for you.” I said to him.

“Well, it’s about time they do. I mean I’ve been waiting for quite a long time to strangle that king of yours...” he said his eyes bloodshot and filled with resentment.

“It will be fun.” He said as he laughed again. I gazed at him and moved my hand and slapped him on his cheek. He stopped laughing and moved his hand on his cheek. He gazed at his hand at the blood that trickled from the blow of the cuffs on my hands. He smirked at me as his cold eyes held mine.

“How dare you..” he said as he gritted his teeth.

Suddenly I felt a searing pain on my back. I cried in agony as I gazed at Claus. He smirked at me, his left hand holding a whip that I never saw him have it in the first place.

“In here, you are just a slave just like the rest of your pathetic humans. If you want to get on my good side, you will have to do everything I say.” He said as he walked out of the room.

I cried silently as the pain behind my back become unbearable. I started feeling guilty about leaving home and not settling the issue with my father. I know my mother will be very worried right now. I have no idea how long I’ve been gone. Staying inside here does not even make me thing of the right thing.

I cried myself to sleep, because that was the only thing I could possibly do. I close my eyes and see my parents smile at me and tell me it’s alright even if they are not here with me.

I woke up later when I felt something touch my wound gently. Scared that it might be Claus, I woke up and turned around and met another man. He’s eyes were not cold like Claus’ but they held affection in them. He gazed at me daring wait for me to do something that’s not right.

“Who are you?” I asked him cautiously. I was not ready to fall for another trap that Claus had kept for me.

“It doesn’t matter.” He said as he stood up and picked up his tools from the ground. He walked towards the door and put them down and walked towards me with another tray. I gazed at the tray and there was food on it. My stomach grumbled suddenly and I acted as if I was not hungry at all.

“You should eat.” He said to me as he kept the tray of food beside me. I moved further away from it. What if it was poisoned?

“You will die, if you starve yourself. You need strength for what is about to happen later.” He said to me as he started to walk towards the door.

“Later?” I asked him incredulously. “What is to happen?”

“You won’t know if you don’t eat.” He relief casually.

“And why should I trust you?” I said my cold gaze directed towards him. He picked his tray from the floor and turned his face towards me.

“It seems you have no choice left, right?” He said as he shrugged and walked away. I sighed frustration edged at every part of my body. The more I think of it, I feel my body weaken. I gazed at the food and realized that I didn’t have any choice left.

As I sat at the so called cod bed they gave me, he came back again. I sat abruptly and gazed at him, anxiety and fear edged in my body. He gazed at me, then at the plate that he brought. He nodded his head when he saw that I had eaten the food he gave me.

“How are you feeling?” He asked me with concern. I knew he was asking me about my wound. I gave him a cautious smile as I replied. “It’s okay. I am okay.”

“Good.” He said as he gave me a bag. “We have to leave.”

“What?” I asked with astonishment.

“We have to leave. You need to go back home right? Please don’t tell me that after everything you’ve been through you want to keep staying here.” He said to me.

I gazed at the bag in my hands.

“You don’t trust me . I get it. But while you think about it, can you just let me help you? Before he comes?” The man said to me. I sighed as I gazed at him then at the bag.

“If in anyway you are lying to me...” I replied to him.

“You can kill me. On the way.” He said taking out a knife that he had. He turned his back on me. As he gazed outside the room.

“Dress up. We don’t have much time.” He insisted.

I stood up and opened the bag. I met some keys. I used to them to take of the cuffs from my hands. The place hurts, but then I decided I had to tend this wounds when I get home. I took of my clothes and started wearing them as fast as I can. When I was done I cleared my throat and he turned around to face me.

He gave me his hand so that I could follow him. I took it and he glanced outside the room for any guard. When there was none, we got out of the room.

We managed to leave the area and now we were walking in the trail that Claus brought me in. I tried to keep up, but I was not strong enough. I stopped for a while to catch my breath.

“Come on!” The man nudged me. I shook my head. “I can’t.” I said in between breaths. He gazed around then back at me.

“Can I carry you? On my back?” He asked me. Taken back by his request I gazed at him bewildered.

“What?” I asked him just to get him to say what he just said.

He turned his back on me. “Climb now.” He insisted. I sighed and decided to do that. He carried me like I had no weight on him and he started running towards the fence.

We arrived at the fence safely and sound without getting caught. He opened the gate for me and helped me down near our fields.

He started to walk away but I had to know who he is.

“Hey! Thank you.” I said to him. He faced me and gave me a genuine smile as he started to walk away.

“Atleast tell me your name.” I asked him curiously. He stopped in his tracks. As he took sometime to think if he had to tell me or not.

He turned around to face me as he said his name. “Achan.”

I smiled at him as he did the same but before I could say something else he was already running back to where he came from.

I used my private trail to get back at the palace. I couldn’t get in at the main gate it will definitely bring suspicion. So I decided to head back to my room like I always do. When I got in, Liana was not around. So I decided to get a change of clothes. When I was doing so, Liana walked in and she almost shouted her lungs out.

“Your Highness!” She exclaimed with both elation and worry etched on her face. I smiled at her as I tried to hid my wound at the back. But she already saw it.

“Wait!” She said to me. She took of my robe and gazed at the scar left from the whip. She gazed at me her eyes watery.

“Who did this to you?” She asked me in a whisper. Instead I said nothing.

I gazed at her and instead of being glad that I was back home, my anger rose higher.

“You didn’t even bother to find me.” I said as I glared at her. Taken back by my statement, she tried to say something but couldn’t.

“Do you guys hate me this much?” I bellowed at her. She gazed at me and I could see she was also about to lose her mind in no time.

“Will you shut up? Do you know how much we’ve been worried? You’ve been gone for a week now? Your mom is in her bed..she’s weak and here you are complaining that we don’t care for you enough.” Liana said as she stomped out of the room.

I’ve been gone for a week? Impossible.
