Chapter 11: The Stranger at the Party

The party at the Adonis family estate attracted the attention of many. Some believed this was the turning point marking a new achievement in Matthew's path to power. In contrast, others were convinced that Matthew would not take control of the Adonis family, as he greatly respected the family's head.

There were countless speculations about this, but everyone was eagerly anticipating the event.

At this moment, in the grand hall of the Adonis estate, beautiful lights shone everywhere, with bright red roses seemingly decorated lavishly without cost throughout the hall. Tall champagne towers, over a meter high, were being moved around, awaiting guests to indulge.

The influential figures kept smiling and conversing, looking very joyful, but only they knew they were waiting for the appearance of the central figure of the night, Matthew.

"Everyone, what do you think? Why hasn't Matthew shown up yet? Could it be that there's a trap at this party?"

"Haha, you're overthinking. Why don't you speculate if Matthew might have poisoned the drinks to kill us all and then take over New York, haha."

Unexpectedly, as soon as the man finished speaking, everyone fell silent momentarily, realizing that Matthew could do something like that!

In an instant, the guests' eyes on the champagne towers became a little more cautious.

What a bunch of idiots without a brain, thought the leader of the Dawn faction, Asta.

Matthew wasn't stupid—he wouldn't kill everyone here. That would be the same as openly committing a crime. Matthew was in the mafia but didn't want to go to prison!

Asta thought this to himself, but his mood wasn't perfect. First of all, if Matthew really took over the Adonis family and integrated it into his power, Asta's faction would be quickly left behind by Matthew, while previously, the two factions were on equal footing.

Although Matthew wasn't the type to make enemies, he wouldn't harm anyone if others didn't provoke him. Asta still felt a bit uneasy. Who wouldn't want to have all the power in their hands? He was no exception!

At that moment, the party suddenly became a bit more lively, and all eyes turned in one direction. Matthew slowly appeared, and more notably, the beautiful woman beside him caught everyone's attention. Many people felt that the woman looked somewhat familiar, but they couldn't quite place who she was. Most were surprised as Matthew finally started bringing a woman with him! It was well known that Matthew was famous for being a man who didn't know love. There was never a girl around him, leading many to doubt he was capable.

They didn't know that Matthew was actually quite capable, even having had a child once.

Matthew scanned the guests, smiling, saying, "It's a great pleasure to see everyone here. I hope you can enjoy this party to the fullest!"

Asta, standing nearby, couldn't help but sneer: "We haven't even reached the main part of the party yet. What exactly do you expect us to enjoy?"

It was clear that Asta was urging Matthew to reveal the purpose of today's party quickly, but Matthew just smiled as if he didn't understand Asta's meaning. He smiled warmly at the people present and then led Emilia to another table at the party, softly saying, "Sit here and wait until it's your turn."

Emilia nodded, signaling that she understood. Just then, a woman's voice suddenly rang behind them: "Matthew, long time no see. Well, who is this beautiful lady? Have you finally found the love of your life?"

Emilia turned to look at the woman who had spoken. She was a tall woman wearing a sleek suit, with short, neat hair and an alluring tan. She exuded strength, and Emilia could see the muscles under her suit. She seemed to have a good relationship with Matthew.

Matthew smiled and said, "Long time no see, Fiona." He then looked at Emilia and added, "This is Fiona, the leader of the Zoon gang, a competent woman."

Emilia smiled and nodded, understanding, and then looked at Fiona. "Hello, Fiona. I'm Emilia."

Fiona seemed to ponder momentarily before speaking: "Emilia, huh? Matthew, you know how to pique one's curiosity. I wonder what your connection with her is."

Matthew shook his head. "You'll soon find out what Emilia's connection is."

Fiona shrugged and smiled. "Alright, I get it. Now, can we talk about the project at the Glory Harbor?"

Matthew nodded. "Of course." He then turned to Emilia and said, "Wait here. I'll be back soon."

Fiona eyed them with a thoughtful look, almost teasingly, before leaving with Matthew. The two of them looked very familiar, chatting relaxed and close, almost as if they wished they could be even more intimate.

Emilia watched them leave, her face betraying no emotions. Suddenly, Fiona turned her head and shot a glance at her. Emilia could see the smirk and slightly mocking look in her eyes. Emilia's gaze became more contemplative, but she did nothing and smiled in return.

Fiona raised an eyebrow, smiling, and continued talking with Matthew. Meanwhile, Matthew, surrounded by people, didn't notice the subtle tension in the air.

Matthew was the center of attention at the party, with everyone gathering around him, constantly talking. Luis, standing nearby, was doing his best to assist Matthew in socializing.

Emilia looked at Matthew with a faint smile at the corner of her lips. After three years of longing, she never imagined she would be so close to him again, and he was still as remarkable as ever.

"Sir Matthew is well-received, isn't he?" A proud female voice suddenly rang out next to Emilia, making her glance over.

She saw a girl in a white princess dress, arms crossed, looking at her. When she noticed Emilia looking back, the girl continued, "Don't think that just because you can walk beside Sir Matthew, you can win his heart! After all, you're not worthy of someone as outstanding as him!"

As she spoke, the girl pouted, making her round face even more adorable. Emilia couldn't help but think of her as a little bun transformed into a human, running up to her, making her want to pinch the girl's cheeks.

"Little girl, you have such a cute face," Emilia spoke softly.

The girl seemed shocked by Emilia's response, her eyes wide, before she stomped her foot in anger. "What the hell did you just say? Who's a 'little girl'?!"
